I'd like to propose that everyone switches their avatar to a Decker avatar for a few days in memoriam.

RIP, the man we admired and loved and dispised
Hannibal would be reflecting on the passing of a worthy adversary
Colonel Decker was a bad man, but he had a lot of honorable military qualities as well, he fought with a code, honor system.

It's a shame he died and there was no news coverage of it. I won't be changing my avatar but I might have a Decker marathon this week for him! I wonder if he liked Stockwell for catching the team?

His passing may have gotten lost with everything going on with the embassy attacks, the politics and economic issues in the US, along with the 9/11 anniversary. Often, producers and news directors at various TV stations and networks will determine what they will put on the air, and what they won't. Sometimes, the line ups of stories aren't finalized until about 15 minutes before a newscast goes live, just to make sure there's enough time to print out the script for the anchor and director - but bigger stories, naturally, will take center stage.
It's a shame, though, that none of the major TV news outlets reported it, especially considering some of the roles he held over the years.

He was the fifth most important character on the show. I mean, we should do something for him. Don't you think?
I really am sad. I wish we could do more in his honour than just even switching our avatar.

One thing to keep in mind when it comes to the character of Colonel Decker . . . it's not like the actor appeared in just one episode, like the guy who played Colonel Briggs. And his performance was such to where Decker was shown to be strong, confident, and capable . . . clearly not a buffoon like Lynch was.
Lance LeGault's was beyond memorable as Decker, and helped to characterize and define the A-Team itself. Not only were our imaginations tantalized by at least one encounter mentioned in 'Nam, but just Decker's relentless pursuit of the guys went far as to provide a lot of insight as to just how far the A-Team would go in order to be able to escape . . . or how much they'd push themselves right to the limit in order to see a criminal brought to justice, and yet still escape themselves by the skin of their teeth.

Such a shame that he has gone, the best MP the show ever had.

it would be nice if we could gather together our moments, thoughts about Lance/Decker, we can have our own little memoral service right here, talk about him, as we remembered him
I'm sure that I am not speaking out of place, that he would have liked to know that he had fans and liked his work and his acting.

Oh wow. I just learned of Lance's death from mizhowlinmad's blog site and then of course I immediately wanted to see if anything was posted on here. I was kind of surprised that he died on Monday, and we didn't know until now. I feel like I lost a friend/nemesis, someone I had a love-hate relationship with, which is kind of how I view Hannibal's relationship with Decker. I'm going to attempt to change my avatar to Decker for a week. I think it is probably safe to say that for most of us, Decker and Crane were the best MPs after the team. A large part of the reason for that is the impeccable way that Lance played Decker. He had just the right attitude, the right body language, the right squint, and of course the right voice for the part. I was watching RANGE RIDER just the other night with my roommate, and I still get a kick out of how Decker turns around and starts shooting practically right in the middle of his conversation with the Major. Thanks for the memories, Lance Legault.

In his honour, I want the entire first page of this forum to be threads about him. If anyone can think of a great Decker thread, please help me out. I think I need ten more at this point.

How about favorite Decker lines? And favorite escapes of team members from Decker's clutches? It seems like Face was often the one encountering either Decker or Crane.
