That's so cute that your boys think Billy is real, but invisible. My oldest even tried to convince one of his friends that Billy was real but invisible. It went over her head since she hasn't seen the show, but it cracked me up.

Not in love with the episode. Some of the plot seems forced. There's this cramped aspect when everyone is huddled around in some certain scenes imo. It's a good premise but just needed to be handled better.

Rewatched this one yesterday and I enjoyed it. I loved all the Billy scenes - although the end 'freeze-frame' where Murdock is apparently dragged away by his imaginary dog is silly on the face of it. However, I've just read over your previous comments and I wonder if we are not actually supposed to think it really happened, just that it happened in Murdock's mind? We don't see anyone else reacting to it, we just see Murdock. It was fun to see Face trying to negotiate the best price for the watermelons. And poor Amy's car! I remember her car being used like this in a few episodes, am I remembering wrong? I thought it was silly that she didn't recognise Hannibal in the scene at the hospital, though. She does know that Mr Lee isn't real, doesn't she?? I thought it was interesting to see Hannibal knocked out so easily, it reminds us that he's not invincible.

I like your theory of the ending just being what is "Murdock's reality."
I can't remember right now where in this episode Hannibal is easily knocked out.

When the bad guys first show up and Hannibal says that he doesn't really like that advice. The first punch knocks Hannibal to the ground and this is when he mutters the "I love it when a plan comes together."

It could be that it was part of Hannibal's plan to let them think they could easily hurt him, but I don't think that's the intention. It looks like he was just taken by surprise.

Face gets knocked out badly in CHILDREN OF JAMESTOWN yet he is in other fights where he probably gets punched the same and doesn't get knocked out. And of course Murdock and BA so easily get knocked out in SEMI-FRIENDLY PERSUASION.

I just finished watching this one. I'm not sure if we've commented before on this forum that Face and apparently Hannibal are playing another card game in this episode, when they are in the back of the pickup truck after being captured by Easterland and his thugs. What if those card games are not just for passing time, but what if they are a way that Face and Hannibal use to send coded messages to each other? Like maybe devising a plan based on which cards they play? Okay, that's probably not the case, but I thought it would be kind of neat if they were secretly doing that.
Also, in this episode, when Hannibal and Ellen's dad are talking at the hospital, Hannibal calls himself a "Lieutenant Colonel" and we also learn that he commanded something like "5th Special Forces unit," if I'm remembering correctly.
I do think it is pretty funny what happened to Amy's "Le Car."
And here we have another name used more than once in the series - Ellen - also used in FAMILY REUNION....was it used in any other episodes?

That's a cool idea, Amy! After all, it always seems to be Face and Hannibal playing cards. That would make sense since Face is the supply officer and Hannibal could be telling him what he needed. I just like that they had cards somewhere so they could play.

Do you think Face just carries around cards in a pocket or something.....just in case they get captured?

I love the idea that they use cards as a secret code. I also think he probably carries a pack of cards because he can use them to scam people. I I imagine he learnt some basic card tricks at a very early age and can turn any card game he plays to his advantage.

I I imagine he learnt some basic card tricks at a very early age and can turn any card game he plays to his advantage. This is what I was thinking. I could see him being a three-card Monte guy in the streets of New York City. So he keeps cards on him to improve his dexterity by shuffling and playing simple scams on people.

I kinda headcanon Face have had an obsession with magic tricks at one point and learned a bunch of card tricks, before something else stole his attention away from practicing magic tricks more.
