Yeah, for a laugh his females are ok, like playing the pregnant woman, it was just for necessity. Dressed as the bride he just looked like a man in a wedding dress! (I know that's essentially what he is, but there wasn't a lot of effort put in to look like a woman). Even friends of mine who aren't big A Team fans know that scene, it's a pretty well known A Team scene.

This episode was on TV again yesterday and I noticed a couple of things I’ve never thought about before. When Face gets thrown off the balcony and into the swimming pool, he gets out and goes straight to his car and drives off, but he went to Tawnia’s flat in her car, so how come his car was miraculously outside afterwards?! 😀 Also, when Murdock and Face scam the helicopter Murdock gets in on the left side, but, then, when he’s flying with Hannibal he’s sat on the right side! The controls magically switched sides! 😀 Gotta love it! 😆

"Can you fly, Bobby Faceman?" " Clarence Carson, no!" First thing I thought of when I saw this scene.

Sorry, I don't know what other show or movie or whatever you are referencing! (I'm kind of out of it when it comes to pop culture, other than a few old TV shows...)

Rewatched this one today - not a great episode for me although, like every ep, it has some great moments. Tawnia is as irritating as I remember her! I'm hoping she improves...? I have to give her credit for being able to run down steps in high heels, though! I like that they finally gave a decent reason for Amy's departure, it was the least the character deserved despite what went on behind the scenes. I was confused by the way they introduced Tawnia, though. I didn't really follow why she was working undercover at the security firm and why they would have intel on the team. And why did she need to find the team just to tell them Decker was after them... they knew that already! And why was Murdock already hiding in that bin outside when she first arrived? And why did she seem to live in a high rise apartment one minute and then later in a completely different house? The whole scene with Face - from trying to kiss Tawnia to being thrown out of the window - was great though and I love how no one believes Face when he tries to tell them what happened. And I really felt for Murdock when he and Face rescue her and although she seems pleased to see him, she's all over Face when he arrives! But why on earth did Hannibal agree Tawnia could go with them? Amy had many good qualities, she was strong and stood her ground and I can see why Hannibal would be impressed by those qualities, but Tawnia didn't really do anything that would make him think it would be good to have her around.

That is weird about where Tawnia lives. Maybe the high rise was just part of her undercover work?

Watched this one last night. The younger two boys didn't have any interest outside of the theme song, so we put them to bed and watched with the oldest. He was not overly interested either, although he did like the helicopter chase scene. Decker is always fun to watch and I love that he tackled the dummy even though Hannibal had zero time to get into that disguise. Some of the lines from that scene are great too. "You have expensive taste." In fact, the whole scene inside the store was pretty good with Hannibal throwing the darts all over the place and Face being upset that all his hard work selling the awful stuff wasn't going to result in time with the Contessa. The scene in the car with Murdock and B.A. is great too. "It isn't mine!" It was disappointing Decker wasn't in it more. I like most of Frank Lupo's work, but this was not his best. The fact that they kept repeating 2 o'clock got on my nerves. Were we taking a test or something? I think we all got it. The Face/Tawnia scene is still a little cringeworthy for me, but I tried to appreciate it more. I do appreciate the Amy backstory. Not the best scam of Face and Murdock, but I did like Murdock constantly pulling out the handle. I wonder why Hannibal really wasn't there during the montage scene? I know they said he was with Tawnia, but what was he really doing? Next we see the chopper flying, he was there. My wife was not a fan of the chopper crash and everyone climbing out. Usually her disbelief is suspended a bit, but not with that one. Like everyone, she hated how Face's Vette was suddenly there. I pointed out that we don't know what happened after Face offered to go with her. Tawnia's car looked to be on its last legs, so maybe Face had the Vette stashed nearby like the van and they drove to her place in that. I do like Face giving the cigar to the empty Aquamaniac. Not the best tag scene either, although it's nice the team finally believes that Face was thrown out the window. Although it seemed pretty abrupt based on Tawnia's "Do I?" I think the logic of Tawnia joining was a bit off though. So Decker will take her to jail in this episode, but none of the subsequent episodes? Again, not my favorite, but I am trying to be more open-minded this watch through.

There does seem to be quite a few continuity errors in this episode, I wonder if it was rewritten, or re-edited for some reason? Perhaps it was originally conceived as a two-parter to introduce Tawnia and then they changed their minds? I do love the scene in the sports shop - you're right, some of the dialogue is hilarious and Dirk in particular delivers those lines really well. And I love Face giving the Aquamaniac a cigar - his expression when the costume starts to smoke is so funny! I think Tawnia improves, but not much. I don't actually dislike the character particularly, more the way she seems forced into most of the plots - it is illogical that she would hang around with the team so much, not only because Decker knows, but also because it makes no sense that Hannibal would really allow it in the first place. She's no Amy Allen, that's for sure!

I think one of the biggest mistakes that the show made with Tawnia was having her basically try to be an Amy replacement. I think that they should not have had her connected with Amy or the paper. If they really wanted another female character as a recurring one, they should have made her connected with the team through some completely different source, in my opinion.

I agree - why another reporter? There are plenty of other ideas they could have used.
I'm surprised they chose to have another female recurring character at all after the behind the scenes arguing that went on over the character of Amy. Amy was great until they ran out of ideas for her, Tawnia was just not necessary.

I hadn't thought about it. I just liked Tawnia because it gave us a reason for Amy being gone and it gave her a way to interact with the team more directly than being the client. But you are right. I would like a different reason for her to join if they really thought there was a good reason.

Do you think when they hired Marla Heasley that they were upfront with her about the purpose of her character and told her from the start not to expect to get too involved in the action scenes? Also, she was never included in the opening credits. I don't know if that is all worked out in contracts or not.

Also, she was never included in the opening credits. I don't know if that is all worked out in contracts or not. It might have been an insistence by the network and SJC and company got around it by making her a recurring guest star. The fact that they made her just excited to be a part of it and not really a focal part of the team like Amy, made it easier to have her around I think. Plus, she had been on set before so she might have seen some of that antagonism and not expected much. I also like to think that the team got along well with her from that time and they were okay, especially if they knew it was a handful of episodes and not a long-term addition.
