I don't recall anything about Murdock almost getting shot by Face either....by the next time I watch this episode, I don't know if I'll remember to look for it.

Does anyone know which accent GP adopts when he plays the taxi driver? Its an unusual accent and it doesn't sound American to me.

To me, it sounded sort of cockney, one of the dialects of English.

Definitely not American. I also think it is supposed to be sort of a cockney accent. But it may be good if someone from England could comment on whether this accent even sounded like any English accent at all to them!

I think he was probably attempting a Cockney accent, but unfortunately it wasn't very good! Definitely went to the same school of accents as Dick van D yke. To me it sounded more like Australian.

That makes sense Eclipse139 because in CHOPPING SPREE GP attempted an upper class English accent (as the pop promoter character) and that wasnt spot on either.
That said, Dirk's English accent was even worse in SKINS, I think!
Dwight's varied accents, in contrast, always sounded on the mark to me.

In my opinion, Dwight is definitely the best "accent-maker" of the bunch of them.

He was a very good at it. I wonder how often he is actually mimicking a specific person rather than just putting on a generic accent. In DIAMONDS AND DUST, for example, the script suggests that he's impersonating Peter O'Toole in the dynamite shop, rather than him just adopting that type of upper class English accent.
I remember watching an interview where Cannell said that Dwight could impersonate anyone (or something like that), though you had to give some time to work on it.
We could move this discussion now to the main section!

Wow, I think it has been nearly five years since I last watched this episode, but I watched it again tonight. This one just gets better and better for me it seems each time I watch it. I especially was laughing so much at Hannibal's dive off the cliff.
What do you think happened to that first terrorist that Hannibal apparently knocked out and changed clothes with? And he must be a bit of a quick-change artist to be able to make that switch so quickly. Also funny how the others don't recognize that this is not their terrorist buddy.
I think I see now what was previously mentioned on this thread about Hannibal threatening to break Ms. Teasdale's neck....that must be about when he is holding his hand over her mouth and asks her if she wants him to push? Was he really threatening to break her neck?!? Now I'm not sure....
Anyway, another part that makes me laugh is how the team is so sure Mr. Teasdale is going to be so relieved they rescued his daughter that he is not going to care about the money and then the scene cuts to him being all mad about them losing the money. He didn't apparently even ask to talk to his daughter.
The end still always bugs me because it seems like some faulty editing with the line that is spoken just after leaving the Teasdale home....I think something is missing, something that would infer that Mr. Teasdale is going to learn after all that the team recovered the money (and put most of it in the bank under Ms. Teasdale's name).

I have never given much thought to that first terrorist.

You don't think Hannibal killed him, do you?

You don't think Hannibal killed him, do you? It doesn't seem like a very Hannibal thing to do. Even in MIND GAMES, he only threatens that he's a homicidal maniac. He doesn't actually follow through. I think he probably hated killing, even in Vietnam. I'm sure he knocked him out and/or tied him up. Plus, I doubt he traded clothes with him, so the poor guy might be naked.

Even though I just watched the episode, I can't remember what was on camera when the team ran to where they heard the gunshots coming from after that guy tried to shoot Hannibal. I don't remember if they showed him and if so, what he was wearing! Maybe the rest of the team put him in the cab and called for someone to come pick him up or something. I do hope they did not just leave him there to die....

They may have tied him up. Perhaps they called Tawnia to call the cops about him. She was not in this episode at all. Yeah, I'm going to make this be the story - as they were following Hannibal in the terrorist vehicle, they placed a call to Tawnia and told her where they left that other terrorist guy, and she called the police about him....
