COWBOY GEORGE First aired: 2/11/1986 Face believes he's booked country singer Cowboy George into one of the roughest dance halls in the Southwest, but his agent friend delivers Boy George instead. Boy George and the rough South aren't the best combination. Writer: Stephen J. Cannell Director: Tony Mordente Guest star: Johnny Lee (Bartender), L.Q. Jones (Chuck Danford), Taylor Lacher (Miller), Ben Slack (Herm), Boy George (Himself- Culture Club), Jim Boeke (Unknown), London Donfield (D.J.), Jon Moss (Himself- Culture Club), Roy Hay (Himself- Culture Club) Commentary:This is another music episode, but it doesn't deal with just protecting the music or getting a singer out of jail. This time, the A-Team stumbles into a town and helps the workers from being taken advantage of with the help of Boy George. Great episode overall, but not worthy of five bullets, even with Murdock's drag scene. Notes:- The entire band Boy George and the Culture Club guest star in this episode.
- Two songs were sung by the Culture Club: "Do you really want to hurt me?" and "Karma Chameleon." The second song was sang during the closing credits.
- Hannibal references Boris Karloff. Karloff was an English-born actor well-known for his roles as monsters in American horror films.
Special guest stars:- Johnny Lee (II) would make his last documented acting appearance in this episode of the A-Team in an unnamed role.

WAITING FOR INSANE WAYNE First aired: 2/18/1986 When Murdock gets mistaken for an insane mercenary the A-Team is drawn into a fight over property rights and an oil well. The land owner hires them, to get rid of an old man and his teenage son. Of course the A-Team helps the underdog. Writer: Frank Lupo, Stephen J. Cannell Director: Craig R. Baxley Guest star: Moosie Drier (Bobby Sherman), Jesse Vint (Insane Wayne), Barry Corbin (Kincaid), Gillian Grant (Julie), Red West (Red), Anthony James (Unknown), Dennis Stewart (Unknown), Cary Clarke (Unknown), Chris Caputo (Tully), Darwin Swalve (Fat Rat), Bill Dyer (Reverend) Commentary:This is a five bullet episode to me. I like that the team gets mistaken for a band of mercenaries and go to help the young man that those mercenaries are there to kill. Great ending action sequence for the team as they dish it out to the bad guys. Notes:- Audio/visual unsynchronized: During the initial shootout on Sherman's land, while behind the tree, Hannibal says to BA "He's reloading...". His lips, however, say something else.
Goof: B.A. gets shot and claims the bullet went all the way through, yet no blood is shown on either side of him.
Special guest stars:- Dennis Stewart (I) would only make one appearance in this episode of the A-Team as an unnamed role. He would be recognizable to other SJC fans as Lenny from the GREATEST AMERICAN HERO episode IT'S ONLY ROCK AND ROLL.

THE DUKE OF WHISPERING PINES First aired: 2/25/1986 One of B.A.'s old girlfriends has a problem; her husband, B.A.'s old college rival, has disappeared. The A-Team finds a lot of hidden gold in the hills. Writer: Joyce E. Ehrich Director: Sydney Hayers Guest star: Suzanne Dunn (Bank teller), Sheila DeWindt (Deborah Duke), Gary Grubbs (Sheriff Hopkins), Michael Bowen (Rusty), Jack Starrett (Wade), Don Hood (Unknown), Rick Fitts (Jason Duke), David Dunard (Unknown), Bobby Jacoby (Unknown) Commentary:This is really only a two bullet for me. It is nice that we get to see one of B.A.'s old girl friends...especially one that he lost to a former friend. I especially like the way that Murdock uses Face's scam before Face arrives on the scene and then Face is easily spotted because he uses it again later not knowing Murdock used it first. Otherwise, the story and action sequences are all pretty bland and not really worth more than two bullets overall. Notes:[/b] The episode was supposed to take place in Arizona, but the license plates on all of the cars say California.[/ul] Special guest stars:- Gary Grubbs would guest star only once in the A-Team in this episode as Sheriff Hopkins. SJC fans might recognize him from his appearance in the GREATEST AMERICAN HERO episode THE LOST DIABLO as Doyle Casco.
- Robert Jayne (credited as Bobby Jacoby) would guest star as an unnamed character in this episode of the A-Team. Prior to that he guest starred in the GREATEST AMERICAN HERO episode CAPTAIN BELLYBUSTER AND THE SPEED FACTORY as a kid.

BENEATH THE SURFACE First aired: 3/4/1986 Face returns to his orphanage for a reunion and meets an old friend's sister, who's worried about her brother's disappearance, and an old girlfriend, who is in cahoots with Fulbright to trap Face for the reward. While running away from the army, they have to find the missing brother. Writer: Danny Lee Cole Director: Michael O'Herlihy Guest star: Jack Ging (Gen. Harlan 'Bull' Fulbright) , Tom Villard (Barry Green), Paxton Whitehead (Morgan), Kim Johnston Ulrich (Elaine), Nancy Everhard (Rebecca Piper), MacKenzie Allen (Unknown), Carol Francis (Unknown), A.J. Freeman (Pa Chuber), Garth Honson (Alfred), Steve Vandeman (Teach), Thomas Rosales Jr. (Walker) Commentary:This has never been one of my favorite episodes. I like that Face went back to his reunion at the orphanage and that Fulbright had a plant for him, but the rest of the episode was tough to sit through. Face and his buddy from the orphanage kept arguing about who used to pick on who more and it got tiring. Then, we find that Face could have been adopted had he not gone to a concert one day. Not exactly a happy situation for Face. Notes:[/b] During the car/boat chase scene Fulbright's car jumps off the end of the pier. An underview of the airborn car reveals an empty engine compartment! You can also clearly see the car has no motor when it comes to rest in the water. Goof:When Barry is being pulled out of the water by the villians it is clear that the boat is moving, but when the camera changes angle, it is clearly not moving. Goof:In this episode you can clearly see that General Fulbright's unit on his uniform as airborne division when he should be considered military police.[/ul] Special guest stars:- This is one of six episodes where General Fulbright is after the A-Team. He would also show up in the season finale THE SOUND OF THUNDER.

MISSION OF PEACE First aired: 3/11/1986 Senior citizens hire the A-Team to protect their historic Texas mission home and tourist attraction from land developers who want to destroy everything and run them off their land. Writer: Burt Pearl, Steven L. Sears Director: Craig R. Baxley Guest star: Iron Eyes Cody (Chief Watashi), Jack Ging (Gen. Harlan 'Bull' Fulbright), Ann Doran (Nora), David White (Rudy / Charles Winston), Ric Mancini (Ashton), Jason Evers (Taggart), Nedra Volz (Babbette), Nova Ball (Unknown), Michael Lally (Unknown), George Fisher (Dockman), John Dresden (Biker), Tom Noga (Soldier), John Hudkins (Mickey), Glen Wilder (Ralph), Rod Stryker (Sergeant Case) Commentary:This is probably a four bullet from me. The A-Team tries to help set up a mission as a historical landmark, but they have to watch out for the bad guys and Fulbright, which make the episode fun, but they never thought they would have to watch out for a member of the senior citizen center that hired them. It is a good switch from only having to watch out for the bad guys. Notes:- Continuity: When the Mission is dedicated, the ribbon is cut. As the A-Team walks past, the ribbon is whole again.
- B.A. rigs a lie detector to a video game to verify the client's truthfulness.
Special guest stars:- Eric Server would only make one appearance in the A-Team in this episode in an unnamed role. He would be easier for SJC fans to recognize as Kyle Morgan in the GREATEST AMERICAN HERO episode THE BEST DESK SCENARIO.
- George Fisher would guest star twice in the A-Team, although he was around a lot more as a stuntman. In this episode he would play a dockman...and in the fifth season episode QUARTERBACK SNEAK, he would play a guard.
- Glenn R. Wilder would only guest star once on the A-Team and it would be in this episode as Ralph. If you look closely, you can probably see him doing stunts on the GREATEST AMERICAN HERO episode SATURDAY ON SUNSET BOULEVARD. He also guest starred several times on the GREATEST AMERICAN HERO: First as Pete King in MY HEROES HAVE ALWAYS BEEN COWBOYS; second as Harvey Locke in PLAGUE; and finally as Captain Franklin in NOW YOU SEE IT.

THE TROUBLE WITH HARRY First aired: 3/25/1986 Hulk Hogan comes to visit B.A. but the reunion is interrupted by a cry for help from a troubled youth with an alcoholic father, who is pursued by a crazy mobster. Writer: Bill Nuss Director: David Hemmings Guest star: Paul Gleason (Harry), Billy Jayne (Jeffery), John Hancock (Fats), Carl Strano (Richie), Hulk Hogan (Himself), Vic Polizos (Unknown), William Perry (Himself), Le Tari (Unknown), Clare Peck (Unknown), Denise Gallup (Twin #1), Dian Gallup (Twin #2), Loraine Marcus (Nurse), Jim Ishida (Dr. Chang), Ernie Homes (Uptown), Tim Brantley (Ritchie at Age 20), James DiStefano (Noodles), Pilar Delano (Natalie at Age 18), Diana Dillon (Waitress), Mick Regan (Cop) [glow=purple,2,300]Commentary:[/glow] This one is only a three bullet for me too...again because of Hulk Hogan. I grew up on the guy and like him as an actor and wrestler, but a lot of the scenes seemed forced again between him and B.A. I did like the fact that Face and Murdock were always getting beat up while trying to make their date with the twins, but it became repetitive too. Good episode, but it just didn't have all the action and comedy in needed to make it more than three bullets. [glow=blue,2,300]Notes:[/glow] - Face and Murdock are to meet their identical twin dates at a restaurant called "H's."
Goof: In the scene where Face is being chased by the gangsters in his Corvette, the Corvette has a hard top while he is being chased, but is actually a convertible with its top down. Special guest stars:- This is Hulk Hogan's second and last guest appearance on the A-Team.
- John Hancock would guest star in only one episode of the A-Team and he it would be as an unnamed character in this episode. GREATEST AMERICAN HERO fans would recognize him as Louis Davout from A CHICKEN IN EVERY PLOT.
- William 'The Refrigerator' Perry would guest star in this episode as himself.
- Timothy Brantley made his first of three ever acting appearances in this episode of the A-Team as Ritchie.
- Diana Dillon would guest star as a waitress in this episode, her one and only documented acting role.
- Loraine Marcus would guest star as a nurse in this episode, her one and only documented acting role.

A LITTLE TOWN WITH AN ACCENT First aired: 5/6/1986 The A-Team discovers that an organized crime kingpin, believed to be dead, is behind the intimidation of several gas station owners. The mobster tries to force the gas station owners to sell out. Meanwhile Murdock is worried about the truck he won on Wheel of Fortune. Writer: Thomas Szollosi, Richard Christian Matheson Director: Michael O'Herlihy Guest star: Alex Colon (Carlos Mendoza), Michael Masters (Mack Travers), Noble Willingham (Zack), Rex Ryon (Kelvin), Robert Vilnaro (Sonny Marlini), Mark Lawrence (Sam Marlini), Kathryn Leigh Scott (Sheriff Annie Plummer), Joseph Burke (Unknown), Corinne Wahl (Unknown), Raymond O'Keefe (Unknown), John Lawrence (Wilton), Jim Bentley (Deputy), Bobby Bass (Thug #2), Jack Verbois (Thug #1) Commentary:This episode is a five bullet overall. It has the team getting hired to help a small time service station owner keep from being thrown out of business. It has Murdock dressing up in all kinds of weird outfits and trying to impersonate mobsters. It even has the A-Team being caught by the local fuzz. The only bad thing about it was how Murdock was worried about his truck the whole time and kept fussing about it over and over. It became more like whining and was irritating to listen too. Notes:- The bad guy truck always sits in plain sight of the gas station, but no one ever notices it until it pulls up.
- Several references back to the WHEEL OF FORTUNE episode are made by Murdock and Face.
- When Murdock first starts out at the gas station, someone asks him where Mockingbird Lane is at. Later in the episode we find that this is where the big mobster meeting will be...at an address on Mockingbird Lane.
Special guest stars:- Rex Ryon would only guest star once on the A-Team and it would be in this episode as Kelvin. He had two other guest starring roles in the SJC production THE GREATEST AMERICAN HERO: First as the man near a phone booth in OPERATION: SPOILSPORT; and then his second appearance was as a cop in the episode CAPTAIN BELLYBUSTER AND THE SPEED FACTORY.

THE SOUND OF THUNDER First aired: 5/13/1986 General Fulbright captures the A-Team then offers to let them prove their innocence by accompanying him to Vietnam and rescuing a POW who could clear their names. Fulbright intends only to find a child, that might be his and he just learned about. Writer: Frank Lupo Director: Michael O'Herlihy Guest star: Jack Ging (Gen. Harlan 'Bull' Fulbright), Tia Carrere (Tia), Haunan Mina (My Linh), Lena Pousette (Michele), George Kee Cheung (Colonal Sien), Sol Tragel (Unknown), Peter MacLean (Unknown), Sanford Clark (Orderly) [colo=purple]Commentary:[/color] This is a great way to end the fourth season. We see General Fulbright convince the A-Team to go to Vietnam to rescue someone who could clear them, only to find out that he had an ulterior motive in getting them to Vietnam. We also see another shooting of a team member on screen and the on-screen death of General Fulbright! A-Team classic ALL the way! Notes:- After guest starring in the season 4 finale episode, "The Sound of Thunder", Tia Carrere was supposed to join the A-Team as a member for the start of the 5th season. But due to her not being able to get out of her contract with the soap-opera "General Hospital" (1963), the idea was nixed. Her character was never mentioned again.
- Jack Ging's character General Fulbright dies in this episode, the only regular guest star to have that happen.
- Murdock is shot for the second time in this episode. Hannibal was the only regular cast member never shot on screen.
- Fulbright recognises Murdock even though he didn't seem to know who he was upon meeting him in MISSION OF PEACE.
- EVE OF DESTRUCTION was played during the A-Team's rememberance of fighting in Vietnam.
Special guest star:- This would be the last episode where John Ashley (I) would do the opening credits narration. They changed the opening theme in the fifth season and took out all narration.
