I watched this one this evening. One of my favorites, and an example of an excellent season 4 episode, in my opinion. I give it a 10 on the Sidney scale. I think one thing I love so much about it is the very tongue-in-cheek aspect to it regarding film-making, and I love seeing them use the prop weapons to fool the bad guys. I love seeing how they actually do the prop stuff which of course they also use in every episode, but this time it is like the curtain is pulled back and we get the behind-the-scenes scoop. I love the guest stars, especially those who play Jerry, Charles, and Jenny. They are all so good in their roles. I love "Lake Charles" and how they make fun of Face's acting.

This is always one of my favorite episodes. I love how Hannibal apologizes to Face about not believing him and when Face is trying to be so insistent that Hannibal just kind of waves it off. I love how Hannibal is helping Jerry with the directing and Face getting upset. Such a great episode all around actually.

I also love the way that Decker gets mad at one of his MPs for moving too fast and how he is so determined that they not do that again, but then apparently they do the same thing. I love the way poor Jerry has to go through that car chase and that crazy jumping onto the airplane. And how nonchalant everyone is about boarding the airplane even though there are gunshots coming at them. I also like how Charles isn't even scared by BA. I guess he's so full of himself that he just assumes BA will kow-tow to him.

There's really nothing about this episode that I can say I dislike, come to think of it. I guess that's why I gave it a 10.

I love Decker getting tricked at the end too. Although it was nice to see him being so considerate towards an older veteran.

Yes, I always like how he questions him a bit about WW1, the trenches, etc. And he also gets a little chuckle I believe at some point as they are going up those stairs. I like how Hannibal is singing "Over There" while they are going up the stairs and then says something like "we'll get over there pretty soon, Sonny" or whatever he says.

Up to this one in my rewatch - it's a brilliant episode! I love the idea that Hannibal has organised the production of a new film so he can play a different sea monster to the Aquamaniac. He always puts so much thought into the nuances of his performances! Jerry the producer must be used to Hannibal because he doesn't seem particularly surprised by all the craziness that ensues. It's hilarious that Hannibal just assumes the trouble is down to Face and some kind of liaison with Escobar's daughter! I like all the effort they put into the plan to make it look like Hannibal has shot Murdock, even though in the end it all seems to be over very quickly, with the baddies almost immediately realising it's fake - although I guess it causes enough of a distraction to allow the team to overpower them and that's all that was needed. I love how BA uses his strength to break the ropes and then Hannibal has to pop his shoulder back into place - it looks like it's not the first time that's happened. The ending with Decker not realising the old veteran is Hannibal in disguise is fun and I get the impression a lot of that scene when they're walking slowing up the stairs was improvised. Decker always seems to think other people are Hannibal, but never seems to get when it really is him! It's nice to see him showing respect to someone who he believes to be a veteran of the First World War, considering how badly he has treated innocent people before when his focus is on trying to get to the team. It would have been fun to see a little more of the film they made, maybe a quick scene of Face - as Lake Charles - saving the girl or something like that? I do love that they're all there together watching the premiere, though.

I think it could have been fun to have had Jerry in the series all along, as a recurring character, whenever Hannibal is going to be in a monster movie....and maybe occasionally involving Jerry in a mission, like this one. I enjoyed him. But I pretty much enjoyed all the people involved in the movie in this one. Yeah, would have been fun if we could have seen more of the movie. If this was filmed now, maybe they could have had the "movie" as an extra on a DVD and actually put together a scene or two for us crazed fans.

I'm starting to warm up to this one more. I like the plotline of the gang flying down with the film crew for Hannibal's Aquamaniac film. It seems like wherever the gang goes conflict ensues and here is nothing different after escaping Decker. Rating 8/10-8.5

They do seem to find trouble, even when they haven't been hired to find it! . I love that the team realise people need their help in this episode and get involved, even though they were only supposed to be there to make a movie.

It seems in my mind like Hannibal was playing a slightly different character than the Aquamaniac in this one....did his character have some other name?

Hannibal was playing a monster called 'Gatorella' in the film they made in this episode.

Oh yeah, I remember that now. And Jerry wanted that iridescent tail or something.
