The Lethal Weapon TV series was pretty good for its first two seasons, then they killed off Riggs due to drama between his actor and Daman Wayans. MacGyver is nothing like the original series and has more in common with the Mission: Impossible films.
Walker: Texas Ranger is getting a reboot starring someone who's not Chuck Norris, because whoever's in charge of it is a moron.

I had heard the Lethal Weapon reboot was good, but that the actor playing Riggs had gotten too "in character" off set. I think the replacement guy was probably pretty good, but it's hard to change major leads that far in. After I see GHOSTBUSTERS, if we ever get to, I will have to revisit this thread and see if I think it could work for the A-Team.

A reboot would be pretty neat. Difficult to make though, definitely - I mean, the characters really made the show and it'd be hard to capture that. Maybe a spin-off would be better, I don't know.
Have you guys seen Leverage? I practically consider that a spin-off, given the similar set-up and plot, including the team being chased by the FBI while they're helping people. Maybe we'll get more shows along that theme eventually.

Welcome to the forum, starstreak. I have not seen Leverage, but I feel like maybe someone on this forum previously has mentioned it.

Thanks for the welcome! I'm thrilled to find a still-active A-team forum. This is really neat. I do highly recommend trying Leverage sometime if you enjoy watching the A-team. It's fast-paced and has the same sort of clever cons and set-ups that I love about the A-team's episodes. The jobs they take are very similar to the ones the A-team would take, too. It's also pretty light-hearted usually, unlike a lot of the new crime/action shows out there that get kinda dark.
I do miss the veteran backstory, and of course no team of characters could possibly be better than the original A-team, but it's still great fun.

Thanks for the recommendation. I like light-hearted crime/action shows like THE A-TEAM. One of my other favorite shows, also light-hearted and not generally too dark is MONK, although it is completely different from the A-TEAM.

She definitely sees the link.

Well, now I'm curious. I'll look it up. Which streaming platform is it on?

I think Leverage is on either NETFLIX or Amazon Prime.
We have the DVDs so I'm not 100% sure

Yes, I would agree with that. They're similar in set-up and theme but still different in overall approach. I love both though!

I've seen every episode of it, that was such a great show.
Light-hearted crime/action shows are the best. If I could pick a favorite genre of TV show, that would be it.
Speaking of, have you seen White Collar? That's another one I enjoyed that's sort of in that same genre
I found it on Prime. I'm five episodes in now. Awesome!! Hope you enjoy!

I've recommended it to a few other people, too. To friends who aren't A-Team fans. How I described it to them was like it was a condensed Oceans 11 adventure in a tv-show-acceptable format.
