It was pretty obvious what you meant once I started reading the rest of the post, but it was just my first impression.....I admit that I did kind of wonder about you! However, I've found that some fans think certain episodes are really great which for me are just so-so or even some of the worst episodes of the show. So everyone has their own take on what makes a great episode. That's what makes this forum interesting, too, I think. If we all had the exact same opinions, it would probably be somewhat boring on here.
But I don't think there are too many A-TEAM fans who rank COWBOY GEORGE really high on their list of favorite episodes....maybe if they were both an A-TEAM fanatic and a Boy George fanatic, it would be like a little slice of heaven for them!?

I really enjoy discussing episodes on this forum. Like you say, Amy, everyone has their own take on what makes a great episode and it's always interesting to hear other people's points of view. I often reconsider some of my own opinions after hearing a different perspective I hadn't thought of before. So I guess your challenge now is to convince me that Boy George can act!

I actually didn't think he was that bad and thought maybe this is how he really talks and acts in real life!

I actually didn't think he was that bad and thought maybe this is how he really talks and acts in real life! He's softly spoken in real life and does seem quite shy, so perhaps he just felt a little awkward? He was still quite young then too, even though they'd already had a number of hit records, but performing his songs is different to acting. To me it just came across as though he was treating it like a bit of a joke and wasn't really trying, but it may have been nervousness. Perhaps he realised how weird it was that he and the band were guest starring in an episode of a hit American TV action show in the first place!

The whole premise of the episode is pretty strange. I doubt that Culture Club's booking agency (or whoever makes the concert bookings) would screw up in such a big way as to book the band for the "Floor 'Em" in some small town, USA!
