As a writer and musician, it's probably not surprising that the two mix for me often. Music has always featured strongly in my Tron and other fanfic (oddly enough, a lot of Pink Floyd songs fit Tron: Legacy pretty well-- I mean, Welcome To The Machine? ?). Not so much in my A-Team fic, but sometimes I hear songs that make me think of them.
And for some reason, Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls (covers here) makes me think of Murdock, if he ever really hooks up with someone special (not Erica-- she lasted several episodes, but didn't strike me as the love of his life).
Do you have songs that make you think of either the show or the characters, or maybe a specific episode?

I think for me it is only the songs actually used in the show that make me think of them, such as ONE WAY OR ANOTHER, KARMA CHAMELEON, YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE, etc.

Its the same for me. I oftem put on Trouble on Wheels by Joey Scarbury, followed by One Way or Another. The album with the original background orchestrations from some early eps is also worth having.
I quite like the song that opens HOT STYLES immediately following the opening credits. I cannot find that song anywhere. Shazam doesnt want to know.

I have entire playlists - long playlists. So many! I play them all the time! They are all based on the Team. A lot of the songs I have are from A-Team videos on YouTube. You know the ones where someone edits together a lot of different clips? Those songs are forever associated with the team now for me.

I used to have a CD of the background orchestrations. I think it was likely a CD of the album you referred to....had songs like "YOUNG HANNIBAL" and "HELICOPTERS" and "BANDITS" and I think maybe one called "MORE BANDITS." I'm not sure what happened to that CD.

You know the ones where someone edits together a lot of different clips? Those songs are forever associated with the team now for me. Oh, yeah. I've seen a couple of those, and you're right, it's hard not to think of it when I hear the song (at least, for me it's because it's not usually music I listen to, so I have nothing else to associate it with). Like, there's a video based on "Curtain Call" / Murdock with that song Love Me When I'm Gone by 3 Doors Down (yes, I just had to google it and find out who it was by, because while I've heard the song on the radio before, that's not my kind of music so I have no idea who sings it), and now whenever I hear that song, I think of that video/Murdock. Even though that's not a song I'd personally associate with him or that episode/situation (but clearly the person who made the video did).
(You know, I'm never sure how I feel about music videos for A-Team with music that wasn't of the A-Team era-- that is, wasn't out until long after the end of the show's run-- like, I almost feel like to "fit," it should be something contemporary to them or that they might've listened to or heard on the radio? But then that seems silly.)

Thats exactly the one, amyk. Its the Daniel Caine orchestra album. Its not the actual original background music from selected early eps, but its real close - so much so the tracks must have based on the original sheet music notations. Some of the music is on YouTube but not all of it.

It's just called "The A-Team" and is by the Daniel Caine orchestra (as Pico Bob pointed out). I searched for it and it is available on Amazon.

That one looks different than what I had. That one looks like the actual music from the show, whereas the one I had was an "orchestra" playing the original score.

Its the same one amyk - the Daniel Caine album. I wish there were other ones out there. Thanks for sharing the 7 inch edit thatkliqkid. I enjoyed that souped up version of the theme. I prefer it to the 5th season opening music.
