I have a question for anyone who may have seen CHARLIE'S ANGELS...the movie version. Did they try to make those gals be the same characters as from the '70s, i.e. Jill, Kelly, and Sabrina and/or Kris (depending on whether one was replacing Farrah or Cheryl Ladd)....oh there was also that Tiffany and then one other gal (who was basically the Frankie of the ANGELS, I think).... I guess I assume that for CHARLIE'S ANGELS they were at least new characters, but I didn't see the movie so I don't know. One more reason why I didn't like the GET SMART movie....only Don Adams and Barbara Feldon are the real Max and 99! Fake Murdock looks more like an angsty grunge band member than loveable real Murdock to me in that photo. Fake Face doesn't look charming and fun-loving either, at least in this photo. Again, these are not things that I'm actually complaining about, because I so do not want these guys to be accepted as the A-Team! I want the movie producers to leave my beloved shows alone. What's next.....LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE set in the year 2009?!?! ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

Agreed wholeheartedly on everything, Amy. Heck, if Hollywood were making a Civil War film nowadays, they'd probably have Abraham Lincoln sporting electric-blue hair, Mary Todd Lincoln with a pierced nose and Ulysses S. Grant riding a skateboard instead of a horse. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) (Besides, who remembers those dusty old historical figures anyway?) I did not watch either CHARLIE'S ANGELS or GET SMART. The only film version of a TV show I *ever* liked was THE FUGITIVE. That was outstanding. ;D Here's another few notes in the dirge of the A-Team movie. Dubious side parting? Smarter leather jacket? If it ain't broke, don't fix it, muchachos. www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1222688/The-A-Teams-plan-comes-new-look-tough-guys-unveiled.html

I was going to boycott the movie. Now, however I think I'll watch it only to be able to express my negative opinion of it. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) I'm sure it will be a complete fiasco.

I can't believe they are thinking that B.A. won't be afraid to fly...

It's almost as though they're deliberately taking away all the unique qualities of the characters we know and love, for one reason or another. ![:'(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cry.png) I *like* Face's helmet hair. I *like* B.A. terrified of flying. I *like* Murdock's scruffy leather jacket and highwater britches. Apparently they never got the memo. What really annoys me is that SJC has given his blessing to all this. At least the actors have had the good sense to stay away from it entirely. ![:-X](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/lipssealed.png)

We should start a campaign "No A-Team movie without the A-Team characters in it"! ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

Just because they spotted a helicopter doesn't mean B.A. won't be afraid to fly....nearly every episode of the show had some kind of flying vehicle in it, and B.A. was afraid to fly!
I think they are making fake Murdock "too cool" and not nerdy enough!
All good things for me, though, since I don't want to accept these guys as the A-Team ..... ;D

According to one of the stories I read, there was mention of B.A. not having that particular fear, which would be awful. I have the feeling that Face won't be so superficial either. ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png)

I wonder if fake Murdock will have invisible animal friends. He just doesn't look "a good kind of crazy" to me. I wonder if they will even break him out of the V.A. So, yes, I am still curious about the movie. But I don't want to support it financially. So I will rely on my faithful fan forum friends to give me the scoop on it. If you think it is really great, I may have to reconsider seeing it....someday.... ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

Wow. ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/shocked.png) Now *that's* the kind of A-Team movie they should have made. You know, the kind that would appeal to actual fans of the show? Also, from the official Dwight Schultz fansite. Not sure what to make of this, but if DS says so: "We have received many questions if Dwight will have a cameo part in the A-team movie. We are pleased to inform you all that Dwight has actually already been working in Vancouver, where he has played a cameo role in The A-Team movie. Sharlto Copely, the South African actor who plays Murdock, is according to Dwight: 'brilliant beyond words'. Dwight has seen his screen test and he stated: that honestly, if Sharlto is given an opportunity to do what I saw in that test, "Murdock" will be better than ever!' Sharlto has been very kind to him on the set and Dwight must say that he has been treated very well."

So now not only SJC approves it but also DS... Honestly, he couldn't have said that he's the best Murdock ever and no one can replace him, could he? It wouldn't have sounded good even if it's true.
