I saw at Amazon that season 1 was being re-released on December 16. Anyone heard anything about this? Could Universal at last have heard our wishes for outtakes, interviews, and commentaries? Can someone make a Mayday call in January? ;D
Any info would be appreciated, because I'm not seeing much other than the release date.

Here you can read that "Comparing all information between the old and new releases, all content and specs are the same"

Well this is a bummer! But I guess it is actually a good thing for me, as I would want to go out and buy the season 1 DVDs yet again if they really had new information or outtakes or something with them!

Heck, I'd buy it just for outtakes. Although I do like the original format for season 1 better than the subsequent releases (no double-sides discs, the discs with one Team member on each one, the writeups of the guys on the back...)
Stuff we'd really like to see:
* A behind-the-scenes featurette * Stuntwork documentary * Interviews with the cast (including Melinda Culea) * Commentaries * Spotlight on locations the guys visited * A virtual tour of the van
And of course, the famous outtakes (BEAST FROM THE BELLY OF A BOEING would be tops for that purpose)

That would be the ultimate in A-Team DVDs, mizhowlinmad! But I'm not holding my breath for it. I also like the DVDs with the pictures of the guys on them and I love the write-ups on the back of that DVD box, especially the line about how B.A. can build something out of a rubber band! (I don't know exactly what the line is, as I don't have my box with me where I'm at right now, but it is funny......oh-oh, see once again it is something to do with B.A.......my latest obsession?)

All we would need to do is sync our episode to their commentary.

But I wonder how much they really would remember about one particular episode......I know if I had to make a commentary on one thing out of five years' work from something I did 25 years ago, it would be really difficult.

Possibly but I was 9 so I have an excuse for lack of memory ;D Several ways round this. Choosing episodes they could remember would be a good place to start Also sticking two people in a room together while they re-watch a show is good because one can jog the memory of the other. Stuck for something to talk about? Fan Forums. I've heard several commentaries where questions that have been raised by the fans have been put the actors/director.

Too bad that it is just a copy-cat release.

If only I knew SJC.... My New Year's resolution is to write a formal book proposal to SJC to write the official A-Team fanbook. As I've said before...I think this would make a great group project for this board, so I'm open to any and all suggestions!
