Mossy, any news on whether DS is confirmed? I have this plan coming together on the fly if he is for a whirlwind trip to Europe...

No, I haven't heard anything new yet Latest news is that they are obviously trying to get Larry Hagman. Could be interesting, but of course no replacement for Dwight (although I don't think he is meant as such). I mean, come on, who doesn't know J.R. Ewing ;D

Larry Hagman? EPIC!! I wasn't 100% sure he was still alive. He must be in his 80's now.

I thought Larry Hagman had some really bad kind of cancer....but this seems like YEARS ago so maybe it wasn't such a bad kind of cancer or maybe he somehow survived it or something.
I've even been to the Southfork Ranch (is that what it's called?) in the Dallas area, but I actually don't know if I ever saw a single episode of Dallas. (I went with some other people who wanted to go, and I ended up either passing out or almost passing out and I think I spent the whole time sitting somewhere waiting for the others.)
But I prefer him as Major Nelson in I DREAM OF JEANNIE! He was such a good comedic actor (and handsome too). ;D

Yes, I think he's in his 80s and as far as I remember he was very ill for a while. But he seems to be okay now, he was in my hometown a few weeks ago and people were impressed. He's indeed a classic, I used to watch Dallas very often, although I preferred The Colbys. Oh yes, and Major Nelson...I even named my cat Jeannie after that show ;D I would love to visit the Southfork Ranch. Unfortunately it wasn't quite on our way when we made our trip to the West Coast

The Colby's?? Awesome, that's Chuck Heston's soap!! Never seen an episode of it, but I dream of it reaching DVD one of these fine days. Anything with Charlton Heston in it is worth owning.

Aquamaniac, sometimes it almost scares me how much you and I seem to think alike. I love Charlton Heston, too! It's coming up on my yearly tradition to watch BEN-HUR!! And being the purist that I am, I even mandate that the intermission must be allowed to run (where it just says "Intermission" on the screen and goes on about 10-15 minutes I guess). Besides, it is such great music playing during the intermission. ;D
But I also never saw THE COLBYS.

Yeah, Hest is the best! ;D I have even orchestrated a day once a year called "Hest-Fest", have I mentioned that in here before? It's a day where I invite some friends over to BBQ, play some Charlton Heston-related games (like Pin the Tail on the Damned Dirty Ape) and have a Heston movie marathon. I do this to show people that Heston was more than a 2nd Amendment-protector, which people over here see him as thanks to that interview with Michael Moore in Bowling For Columbine, which was filled with camera tricks, accusations, implications etc. Thi year is the third year I'm hosting a Hest-Fest, gonna be a blast!

Aquamaniac, I sure wish you lived in the States. That sounds like a blast! (It's such a pity that all the board members live in different parts of the world. We'd have such fun if ever we got together.)

Maybe Charlton Heston could have pulled off playing Hannibal? I don't think anyone would be as good in the role as GP, but it would have been kind of funny if Heston played Hannibal. Wouldn't some of the gun control activists really have had a hey-day with that? ;D
