Actually, I found his review pretty funny! I found it really funny how he phrased some things - like Face coaxing jobbing actress into the back of the van. Honestly, that is funny! I also found it funny that he went into such depth of the show, even though he really didn't know anything about it! You gotta take these things with a grain of salt. Aquamaniac is right - anyone can post a blog and spew opinon. I can name lots of news reporters who get paid to do that, too... I guess we could all write really scathing reviews about some show we've never really seen, but think is dumb. Anyone?

*sigh* Jo, I could do that with AMERICAN IDOL or any number of these singing/talent/dancing shows. I fail to see why any of those are popular. I'd rather watch paint dry.
I just now noticed that your avatar is animated Mr. T punching a shark. How cool is that? ;D

Hey Hey... I watch American Idol and I'm still somewhat sane though not entirely. I think the auditions are stupid but it has found some good artists... like Daughtry, Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson and my hometown boy David Cook.

I went through that blog and read some of the other reviews.
Honestly, I personally think this guy has really bad taste in tv. That's just my opinion, and of course, some people will agree with his taste... but if 95% of the things that he likes I hate? Well, I am not surprised something that I do like, he hates.
*shrugs*
What bugs me is that he assumes that his opinion is correct, just because, well, it's HIS opinioin. And people who comment on his page, saying they disagree, are just dumb as far as he is concerned. I have no problems with this guy's opinions, but just say that's what they are don't insult people who's opinions differ.
Oh well. He doesn't know what he's missing!

Wish I did it for Shark Week, but maybe next year. I would personally review LOST or How I Met Your Mother. Lost, I've never seen, so I probably know more about it than he does about the A-Team. HIMYM, I've seen a few time, and hate it, so I'd just review something I hate to make it sound stupid...

I kind of saw one episode of LOST or at least bits and pieces of it. Never saw HIMYM. I actually don't usually get into the shows that seem wildly popular. I've probably seen like maybe 2-3 episodes of FRIENDS and it does nothing for me. Same with SEINFELD. I'm not actually sure I've seen an entire episode of SEINFELD, but bits and pieces.
But I probably cannot really judge thme on the few times I've seen them. However, with limited time, I used to give a new show 3-5 episodes before I would decide if I would keep watching. But that was only shows that I thought looked interesting. Tried that with ER when it was new, and stopped watching. All that jerky camera stuff or when it is swirling around the actors is something that just stresses me out. I much preferred CHICAGO HOPE, which debuted the same season but did not last nearly as long and did not develop the popularity of ER. But I so loved Dr. Jeffrey Geiger (Mandy Patinkin).....another loveable nutcase with genius ability as well as musical ability.....I just realized how much he was like Murdock in those regards. But his mental issues were a little more disturbing to me than Murdock's and a bit more sad. (His wife had drowned their kid in the bathtub.)

I happen to like ER. Yeah the first season wasn't the best but it got better with each season.

I never gave it a chance beyond those first few episodes....maybe I would have liked it more later on.
About the new show to start in the 2000s that I like is MONK, and I have only seen season 4 and maybe one or two other episodes. I don't like it enough to want to watch it over and over again like TAT, though, so I don't need the DVDs. But I would probably watch it if I had the opportunity without having to pay to do so.

MONK... I can't stand the show... he bugs me... probably cause I'm 100% OCD myself... Shows from those years I liked... Life... though it was in 2007 but it was a good show though NBC cut it for a show no one liked. NBC gets so many comments to bring it back. In a way the main guy Charlie Crews reminds me of Murdock.

I love MONK...precisely because I am Obsessive Compulsive. They handle it well, without marginalizing it or making fun. And yet, it is funny.

I am self-diagnosed OCD, only not nearly as severe as Monk....my thing is to check the burners, check to make sure the iron is unplugged, those kind of things. I don't really care about being dirty, though. So maybe I should just say I have OCD tendencies or something.
I agree that they handle the issue well on MONK, i.e. it is just a part of who he is, sometimes it is funny, sometimes it is extremely sad, etc. I think it is interesting that they gave the main character this kind of issue that he is dealing with and yet he is a genius of course at solving the cases.
I don't think OCD was well-known in Murdock's day.....he doesn't seem to manifest signs of that to me, even though we talk about his "obsessions". I don't really think he seems OCD.

I'm OCD about not being organized. I survive better in chaos. Organization and being cleanliness obsessed are on my I hate list. I have a sense of hygeine but I'm not a germ-o-phobe. The actor who plays him annoys me as well.
