Rewatched this one today and it's another great ep - I feel I'm saying this for every episode I rewatch! I love that the clients are disabled veterans and that Hannibal makes a point of saying how much they've sacrificed for their country. It's great to see them get involved in fighting the baddies too. It's quite fun that it's Murdock who pursuades them that the team will help in the first place. I was confused about the two MPs walking around the garden at the VA hospital, though - were they there keeping an eye on Murdock, or for some other reason? Murdock and Hannibal (in disguise) weren't that bothered by their presence. Face and Murdock's scam at the water plant is great as is the conversation the team have about rehearsing their fights. So this is Amy's last ep - she's only in about three or four scenes. I assume they already knew she was leaving and so cut her part right down. It's a sad end for the character, really. I actually enjoyed her being there in S1, I thought she brought something to the team dynamics, but not so much in S2, especially after the first couple of episodes. I guess they just ran out of ideas for the character and if it's true that she wanted to do more fight scenes or whatever then I think she was always going to be out of luck! It's a military hospital, so I always assumed there were guards of some sort. But I can't recall other times we have seen them I guess... Amy's last episodes is THE WHITE BALLOT.

Thanks for the info. She's not in the next one - STEEL - she's not even in the opening credits, so I just assumed this one was her finale. In that case I'm guessing they filmed out of sequence? Or are my DVD's in the wrong order?

Or are my DVD's in the wrong order? No. From what I have gathered over the years, she was surprised to find she was not in STEEL. She didn't find out until the table reading I think. Then she was back in for THE WHITE BALLOT, but was fired after production of that.

I watched this one tonight. I really enjoyed it a lot. I think slowing down my viewing has actually helped me enjoy the episodes afresh. Here are some of the things I like best about this one:
1) the clients - I think it is really neat to have these three guys with their own Vietnam backstory. I would kind of liked to have seen them again in a later season. Perhaps they could have come and testified on behalf of the team during the court martial, for example.
2) I like that even BA seems to have a good sense of humor in this. "Make 'em by hand; break 'em by hand!" is one line I especially like.
3) I like that we get not just one scam, but two (the Corky Duke one and also the effluvium one).
4) I also enjoy BA's little dance when they strike water.
5) And the scene where they steal/borrow the fire hose equipment is something that seems a bit different to me, and I like how they have to get in there within a certain time frame (so the security guards do not catch them on their rounds).
6) I like how Murdock apparently has a vast knowledge of old movies and even knows the years they were released, as well as the studio that produced them.
On a bit of a sadder note, I do feel like Amy is getting less and less to do by the time this episode rolls around. It seems like about all she did was go and get the plans to the place where the fire hose equipment was, and it did not seem like she had many lines.
