Live and let die was from 1973 so a good ten years before The white Ballot and Clifton James look exactly the same and he wore a similar type of cop outfit 😁

Just watched. Like this as a bit of a change of pace.
Some good funnies in this one. The Coffee line from BA, Hannibal suggesting they will catch The Sheriff killing Face
Like the interaction between Crane and Decker, with Crane thinking like Decker would re: the advance group. Shows them as a solid pairing. Crane seems eager to catch the guys. Maybe he sees a promotion in it for himself

It just goes to show you that you learn from those you are working with. The Team is more creative through working with Hannibal where Crane is more deadset on catching them like Decker. They are never very creative though.

Yeah, I always really like the combination of Decker and Crane, too. Maybe that's sort of what was missing with Lynch and with Fulbright.....those guys needed some kind of sidekick?

Rewatched this one today. Some great moments, but not one of my favourites from S2 so far.
Reading back through this thread I see you talked about BA being rude to the man in the cafe and I agree it was out of character - although it does tie up with the way he spoke to the man who wanted to park his van in RECIPE FOR HEAVY BREAD. I wonder if sometimes they forgot that BA's bad attitude doesn't normally extend to decent, hard working people who haven't done anything wrong?
There was something off about the pacing of the ep, for me. They did a big build up to Face running for Sheriff, but then we didn't see anything to do with his campaign or the vote - until the very end where we find out he lost! I kind of assumed the election had been cancelled because of what happened, so that took me a bit by surprise.
So this is definitely Amy's last episode! I really like how she stands her ground with Decker in this one, although apart from that she was just playing a token wife - kind of ironic considering the reasons (as far as we know) for her departure. I really wish they could have found a way to give her a proper goodbye. She gelled with the team so well - on screen, at least - and I think they could have found different ways to involve her in storylines like they did in S1.

Wow, I don't think I've watched this episode since 2018, based on my previous posts on this thread. In any case, I watched it tonight! One thing that I don't know if I've ever noticed before are the call letters for the TV station on the camera at the airport: "KKGB"!!! I found myself feeling a bit bored in the middle of this episode, like with all the stuff pretty much right after Decker and Crane learn about Joe Morgan/Face and even with the plan to try to stop the semi with the bootlegged liquor. But the earlier stuff and the final stuff helps make up for that middle stuff that does not hold my attention quite so much. I also always think it is really foolish that the team lets the sheriff just start crawling away after the car is flipped. If they only held him as a hostage, I'm sure he would be commanding all his deputies to put their weapons away.
Also still hate the way all of them except Face treat the man running the restaurant near the beginning. He is just trying to earn a living and he gets insulted and yelled at for no good reason. Face at least seems polite to him.

Not my favorite episode for sure, but it's still a strong one overall. My favorite scene is still Hannibal trying to convince Face to run while Murdock is telling him about the downside.

I find the stuff at the beginning more interesting than what actually transpires later on.....I kind of wish they had stayed in town through the election and we had to see how Face was going to get out of being the sheriff....
