Glad you're ok Celine.
Yeah the mislabelled catchphrase grinds on me and just stuff like, I know it's trivial, but it irritates me anyway, for example when someone was selling original A Team figures, they listed their lot as "Mr T figure and two other guys from A Team" (it was Face and Murdock if memory serves me correctly) and it's like do you have that little respect for the other guys in the show that you couldn't even be bothered to spend 2 seconds googling their characters' names? And it kinda annoys me that T didn't even do that much, he wasn't a brilliant actor. He's like the Hulk Hogan of The A Team, people are more talented than him but for some reason because he's big and colourful he gets all the attention. I understand the appeal to kids and they buy most merchandise etc but it just bugs me lol! Especially when stuff is labelled "The A Team" and just has Mr T on. Team means more than one person.

I do think, though, that the show did a good job of featuring all four of the team members and not just focusing on the B.A. character. If anything, the show featured the B.A. character too little, in my opinion.

Oh yeah I wasn't talking about the show but the merch that came from it. I guess that's probably because of T's limitations. Shame really.

I guess they sold whatever merchandise they could, and if Mr T was the best-selling merchandise, of course they are going to milk that cash cow. Back then, I don't recall older people really getting into collecting all this kind of TV stuff like it seems they do now. Or at least I was not collecting A-Team stuff. I had the Murdock action figure and a little A-Team van but I think both of those were given to me. (I was in high school, so I was not at an age where I was getting these things as toys to play with, but I think my mom probably gave them to me more as a joke because I liked the show and Murdock.)

A american tv guide from 1984, again another purchase from good ol Ebay This guide has a great article on the making of a particular episode, obviously the writer got a glimpse on the behind the scenes filming & when reading this its definately while filming the season 2 episode "The battle of Bel-air" ;D Attachments:
