;D Right.
You see, it's not so pleasant then, for you lose too much fun. You could as well watch it with your eyes closed.

HOGAN'S HEROES is an awesome show I own on DVD as well. It would be neat to hear an entire episode in another language. I would not be able to understand it, but I am sure most of the humor translates across the language barrier. The slang would be tough, but I bet it is still enjoyable. Too bad more Americans don't love the show as much as some of us do. ;D

You people on here are the only ones that I know who are such A Team fans....I mean it....I never knew anyone else who was a fan of this show back when it was on except that my mom liked it and would watch it with me. I thought I had convinced my current roommate of the wonders of TAT, but she seems to have lost interest in it and now declines watching it with me fairly often. Oh well....some people just don't know a good thing when they see it I guess.

Much as some people seem to think of TAT as a "mindless action show," "a kids' show," or "silly," it really isn't. The dialogue is still fresh and funny, none of the main characters are dated at all, and the situations, as HD has (I think) said are still relevant to today. Plus you have the theme of the heroes sticking up for the oppressed "little guys," which hasn't and will never go out of style. It's actually pretty sophisticated, especially when you hold it up next to some of the claptrap on TV today!

I liked what DB said in one of the interviews, comparing TAT to another show, which people can watch today. I don't remember it exactly, but the point was that TAT was the show for all families, and that it was funny and interesting. However, the fact that this 'another show' is so popular nowadays makes me think, that there are too many people with bad taste.

I kind of compare TAT with old western shows.....they had shootouts, etc. but were not just mindless violence. It is the classic good guys vs. the bad guys thing, taking a stand for what is right...plus with the humor thrown in, that just makes it all the better.
I think DB was comparing TAT to Sex and The City, his point being that you aren't going to sit with your 8-year-old child and watch that.

Funny stuff. I especially liked this comment.
Do we prove the inefficiencies of government by analyzing the smiling patterns of Eric Estrada in CHiPs?

I agree that this show is similar to old style westerns to some degree. I think of GUNSMOKE, but with a comedic element thrown in. Those were shows the whole family could watch and that is what made it great for everyone...even today.

That article is just a bit way too out there for this A Team fan.....okay, I actually couldn't understand all of it with its fancy words and such, and I'm not interested enough to really try to understand it. I have more important things to do....like watch the A Team and post on this forum!
