I think I've seen all the A-Team Holland videos
Funny how they got treated SO MUCH BETTER over in the Netherlands than in their own homeland.

I think they got treated well here by their fans. Wasn't it just the critics and network people who were jerks? I'm pretty sure fans were crazy for them here too.

Yeah but I don't remember ever hearing about them doing a public appearance in America and having, what did Dirk say?, 15 thousand kids?, come to see them, or something to that effect?

It was a one-time trip and a big deal. I'm sure they made public appearances regularly in the States - hospitals, award ceremonies, premieres, etc.

The Beatles got the same kind of reaction when they came to States for the first time. Thousands of people waiting at the airport and Ed Sullivan theatre. It was craziness. Unfortunately for the Beatles, just like the A-Team, they never found success in their homeland.

It wasn't just bias against TAT. Historically speaking, a lof of the best artist/whatever aren't recognized as being great in their own country (or while they are alive).
TAT had fans back then. It was just the stupid networks.

BTW, I think Decker just admitted that The A-Team is on par with The Beatles!

Apologies for bumping an old thread but stumbled across this today. It's a 30 minute video of The A-Team in Holland in quite decent quality.

Aww, the kids are so cute telling who their favorite is. Even if I can't understand most of what they say. I do think it is a bit weird that the actors are in character, but maybe because it was for kids they thought that was best. I think the little boy who seemed shy and wanted to shake "BA's" hand was adorable.

I loved the guys reactions to the kids re-enacting The A-Team. They were so amused!
