I may have squealed a bit when I saw this on Entertainment Weekly's website. For those of you that have the Discovery Channel, Mythbusters is devoting a whole episode this season to the A-Team! Here's a clip; it features the Simpsons too but the first half is all about our boys, complete with van and re-enactments. The new season starts on Saturday; I'm not sure exactly when their A-Team episode airs but will keep you posted. Enjoy! insidetv.ew.com/2015/01/08/mythbusters-simpsons-video/

I may have clapped my hands in delight at both the van and the flamethrower!
Ok,there's no 'may have'. I totally did. I'm going to buy this episode on iTunes when it comes out!

Can ou get Hulu online in your area, Amyk? That might be an option when it airs.

No, I do not think you can download things much outside of the US if they are from the US....due to legal issues. Here's what I get if I go to the Hulu website:

Can't you use a proxy? I downloaded the AnonymoX add on for Firefox, so I can watch clips and teasers directly from websites that are not available outside the US.

Oh, I think I would feel too guilty to do that. And my internet service is not really fast enough anyway that I would likely have the patience to download a whole TV show. I don't even know how many hours that may take! Sometimes it is a hassle just to try to watch a short youtube clip. And going through a proxy server would take even longer, I think.

I had SO much fun watching/swooning over this last night and highly recommend doing the same if you can.
I don't want to spoil ALL the fun just yet in case people can watch themselves, so I'll start by posting some general impressions & come back later with more specific ones.
They start by paying tribute to the theme song/opening credits, including a replica of the van & hosts dressed up like Hannibal and B.A., which sets the perfect tone for what's to come.
Their focus is on testing two A-Team staples: building makeshift weapons to defeat the bad guys, and whether or not their foes would get hurt during the ever present car chases & explosions.
"Timber" is selected as the basis for their first experiment. The hosts show a little clip of the actual show & then try to see if they can replicate the lumber cannon under virtually identical circumstances (in a lumber warehouse, same type of materials/time crunch/testing it on "bad guys".
While this is really cool, I liked the second "myth" even better. They replicate dynamite being rigged/exploding under a car (with a clip of this happening in Out of Towners). The goal is to see if the car, bad guys, & even innocent bystanders would walk away unscathed like on the show. They try it two ways, with VERY different results. And the methodology is fascinating.
They took a lot of care to include plenty of show references along the way, and it was easy to see they were having a blast.(literally and figuratively).
Check it out if you can, or check back later & I'll let you know if the "myths" were proven/disproven. (The answers may surprise you)

Kitten, there's a trailer for it on You Tube but the episode posts direct you to questionable links due to copyright issues. It is available for purchase on I Tunes though.
Amyk, I was quite surprised (in a good way) to find out this stuff is a lot more plausible than I thought! ( and why) It turns out the bad guys really could walk away from some of these car explosions.
I'm not a big science person but they are, and did a great job of explaining while entertaining. Wish you could see it too!

My goodness. I just watched this. The intro had me laughing like a barking seal. It was fun to see them replicate the things the guys did, and even improve. Adam, however, did say that they "out A-Teamed the A-Team!" No such thing, for we all believe in A-Team magic! And the action figures even made a cameo at the very end!
SO MANY show references. It was great.

Yeah, I didn't like that part either but the rest of it was great with all its show references & painstaking re-creations. I loved how they did not one, but two for the car explosion and that the A-Team version really WAS true to life. Who knew?
