Is it corny that it kind of warms my heart the very first time Hannibal says, "I love it when a plan comes together"?

I'm watching this one again....decided to maybe try to watch at least an episode a month, although we'll see how that goes. Anyway, perhaps this has been commented on, but when Amy is looking at Face's file, we see his birth certificate. It says his first name is "Templeton" and his middle name is "Arthur." Was "Arthur" AJ Bancroft's first name? If so, it does lend some credence to AJ actually being Face's dad. If there was this birth certificate with Face's name as "Templeton Arther" (and presumably "Peck" as the last name, although I didn't notice that), then can't we assume this was Face's name given at birth, despite EG in MIND GAMES saying that Face had changed his name numerous times before settling on Templeton Peck? Or do we assume that Face managed to get a fake birth certificate into his military file? I could see Face having substituted one for the name he was using. Although, he was known as Templeton Peck in college too, so maybe he randomly would go back to his real name? The people he knew at the orphanage also know him as Templeton Peck, so I just kind of discount what EG said, although of course Face has used numerous aliases.

I don't know why they had to use photos of the team in their military files that are stills from the episode. Couldn't they at least have taken photos of each one in a military uniform and made it look like real military ID photos?

Why do you suppose they threw in that little scene where Amy asks Hannibal where he comes from and he gives her the story about being a rancher?

Does Col. Lynch's file include his first name? It's apparently Francis but I can't recall him every being referred to as such.

I didn't notice anything about Col. Lynch's file. I don't think the series ever referred to him by any other name than Col. Lynch, or if it did, I have no recollection of it.

I watched this last night with my family. My 7 year old noticed the gun on the back of Cactus Jack's automobile. It definitely looks out of place there. And if you look close when they pull into the lot where Avon comes out to meet them, it looks like someone shot the front window.

I just watched this one a few weeks ago and don't know what you mean....was that the same car as was used in the episode CUP A JOE?

But if you watch when Face and Murdock are pulling in to scam the Gulfstream, you can see a gun attached to the back of the car and facing the front windshield. And the front windshield looks like it was shot with something. Quick scene, but you can notice it.

I've started a full rewatch, starting with the pilot which I don't think I've seen for over 30 years! And this time I'm making notes! It's actually pretty good for a pilot, it introduces all the characters and their backstories quite well. I've skimmed through this thread and you've all jsut about covered everything I was thinking as I watched it. FakeFace just doesn't fit into the team - I don't know if that's just because I'm so used to Dirk as Face, but the original actor didn't have any charm or charisma for me. BA had so much dialogue! As the series progressed his lines seemed to be limited to his catchphrases, or just a few words here and there. BA's character was pretty well developed in the pilot. Murdock was also vey well developed - I love how the question of his sanity is left open. Hannibal is kind of darker and more edgy than in the rest of the series. I like how they established that background for him, actually, but I'm also glad he wasn't quite like that in later episodes. Amy was underdeveloped, but I like the idea of her character. I don't like how she basically blackmailed Hannibal into staying with them - it made no sense and surely it would just have turned Hannibal against her? It would have been better if Hannibal had acknowledged that she had helped them and could be a useful person to know, or something like that.

I am never sure why the team allows for that with Amy either. Unless it's because she knew about Mr. Lee, one of their more convincing businesses? And she did talk about being able to help, which Hannibal didn't deny.

I'd also forgotten they didn't have the van in the pilot episode. It's so iconic I'm surprised it was an afterthought.

BA says something about his shiny new ride which he's probably never going to see again somewhere in a future episode, doesn't he?
