Sidney's Rating : this is a solid 9.5 for me. I love this episode *Murdock gets to play two characters- chef and bride. * the team is all together for the entire episode which is always best *great dialogue *Face gets married and I love BA's smirk during the wedding video *Murdock gets to fly and crash a chopper * Captain Belly Buster ! * I loved the drugging BA scene
there is much more but let's here from you all. What did you like or not like about this episode .......

I don't like the part when Murdock crashes the chopper. I'm sure he's a much more talented pilot than that and that he could have found a way to land a bit more safely. Maybe he knew they were not high enough to really get hurt and did it on purpose. However, I doubt he would purposely endanger his team...

Watching this one now....one of my favorite parts is when BA announces that the van has a busted brake line and Hannibal asks "what's it look like?" (or something similar) and BA says, "like a busted brake line!" And I did laugh when Murdock comes out of the bedroom wearing that hilarious bridal gown with that veil which is so thick. I really don't know if such a bridal dress/veil ever existed but if so, it looks like it must have been from the 1800s or something. This whole episode is actualy pretty ridiculous but still pretty funny. How come Cal never knew about the tape but then his goon immediatly discovers that there is a missing tape? Apparently everyone in the county (except maybe the minister and his wife) seems to be on Cal's side and not concerned that he is forcing Jackie to marry him, e.g. even when she herself pleads with the station manager. It's kind of funny that for two episodes in a row, we have Murdock being something like a baker. But of course only this episode features Murdock as a bride! Some things I don't like: Once again, it seems that there are a lot of voiceovers; the helicopter chase seems to go no for a long time to me; don't really like that Face and Jackie really did get married and wish that they had just tricked Cutter into thinking that they got married but had not actually gone through a real ceremony and then had to get an annulment. Jackie is really pretty. I found this photo of the actress that plays her and her husband online: i.ytimg.com/vi/XJrzlGd3aSo/maxresdefault.jpgI give this episode a ranking of 7 using the Sidney scale.

I liked this episode. Its funny and light. Aaaw Poor poor Face. You can only imagine that this would haunt him for a while. They could have gone with a sham wedding, but then there would be nothing they could do legally if Cal decided to check the records. I did like his sweater... sigh... such a beautiful man.
The dress looks normal to me, but the veil looks like a curtain haha. Cough cough... That's one ugly bride! I like that Murdock acted like he felt bad for leaving Cal at the altar. And at the end when he says he almost married the wrong kind of guy.
YES! the tape recorder! I was captured by the he helicopter chase. The stunt pilot's are really good because they take huge risks with both choppers so near each other and flying between the trees. I didn't like the crash. Come on! Murdock was the best pilot in VN! Auto rotation! pfff.... Not that I could do that, mind you.

Yes - I do see what y'all are saying about the crash - and yes absolutely Murdock is the best. I think it was just played for laughs and to be funny and maybe just maybe their injuries would have been worse had Murdock not been so good. Also they needed the team to have injuries in order to sell the joke that BA was the only one not injured. I think the wedding of Face was an absolutely brilliant on the jazz moment of Hannibal's - It really was an out of the box plan - poor Face though
I wonder about your comment AmyK - about everyone being in on Cal forcing Jackie to marry him. I mean what would have happened if when the minister said to Jackie " do you take this man?" if at the moment she announced to everyone there that she was there against her will. What would Cal have done? Killed her in front on everyone? If he did that before they were married, his plan of inheriting all the money would be void. I find it hard to believe that every single person at the wedding - the guests, the minister, the caterers knew that Jackie was being held hostage. But then again we wouldn't have the big rescue and Murdock in a wedding dress so there you go

I think they should have had an "ace up their sleeve" - like when the bad guys were holding Rena's son hostage. I think that Jackie should have had a little sister or brother being held hostage somewhere, with the threat of the child being killed if Jackie didn't go through with the wedding. Of course, then the team would have had to also rescue the kid before it was too late. But I know they could do it.

Oh man I love this episode. So cool that the whole team are together. The things I really love (and yes, they are concerning Face cause he's my favourite so I always watch him) are: - The smiley face Face draws on his note to Jackie. It's reassuring and sweet. - The fact that Face uses Hannibal's coat as a blanket. Either Hannibal placed it over him whilst he was sleeping, or Face himself chose to cover himself in it - both options are equally heartwarming.

I don't recall ever noticing that Face was using Hannibal's coat as a blanket!

I never noticed it was Hannibal's blanket either! I think the Murdock as the bride is one of the most famous scenes. Even people that don't really watch it usually know about that. I can't believe Face didn't close the tape recorder! He's supposed to be clued up and he just left it open. I like how they're conning them about the helicopter and have Murdock waiting with the real one. Really like Murdock's expert flying in this. The guys behind can't believe what he's he's doing or how he's doing it. Even Face is a little shocked at what he's doing. Although you would think he'd be used to it, having flown with Murdock for over 10 years and he knows how good he is and what he can do.

I don't know....it does often seem that when Murdock flies, they crash, doesn't it? Of course, that may be because they have crummy planes that they scam!

Yeah I really liked Murdock's flying in this episode. It was kind of similar to the film with the helicopter chase at the beginning - I loved it when MOVIE!Murdock does the loop-the-loop in the helicopter, and the bad guys chasing them in their helicopter say to one another in admiration, "Did you see how he turned the helicopter??" (Wow, that's the most time I've ever written the word 'helicopter' in one sentence).

Ha ha, yeah they do crash quite a bit, when you the no about it it's not surprising really, seeing as they just randomly take helicopters & planes, without really knowing what condition they're in. A bit like when Murdock took one that wasn't fixed, but at least he knew the score with that one. Funny the time B.A said to Murdock after a crash, " You crashed a plane with me in it" and Murdock replies, "Don't flatter yourself, I could crash this plane even without you in it"! 😁
Yeah, that helicopter scene is similar to the Movie helicopter scene. I wish we'd seen more of the original Murdock in the series doing more twists & turns & flips in an helicopter. Esp with B.A inside, just waking up to it! 😂. He'd have had the shock of his life!

I just finished watching this one again. Doesn't the invitation say that "Mr. and Mrs. Taylor" invite people to the wedding of their daughter, Jackie? Isn't that weird if Mr. Taylor is dead? And also, if there is a Mrs. Taylor, surely Jackie could just tell her that she doesn't want to marry this man. In fact, I don't really ever find this plot even remotely possible, since there is no reason for Jackie to go through with the wedding. What's Cal going to do...kill her in front of all those witnesses? Of course, the enjoyment of the episode has nothing to do with a plausible plot, so I can forgive all the implausibility. However, as I think I've mentioned over and over, I still wish there were some kind of backstory going on where Cal was threatening to kill someone else if Jackie didn't marry him or something like that.
I also really, really hate all the cheesy voiceovers in this episode!

My kids loved this one. My oldest always wants to be B.A. My middle wants to be Murdock. My youngest wants to be Hannibal. This episode changed that. My oldest wanted to be Face. (He must have a good eye for the ladies or something. He told me not to tell his girlfriend about it though. ). My middle still wants Murdock, but didn't want to get married. My youngest decided to be B.A. last night and jump out of the cake. They loved the helicopter chase and getting gas. I have to say that the first hole was huge if Jackie's entire scarf fit in the hole. I always love how suddenly everyone notices the tape machine after they steal the tape. I like B.A. trying to be smart about the burgers. I watched Murdock during this exchange. When Hannibal says something about being crazy, Murdock knows that is his cue.
