I think the van gets enough lovin' from BA....maybe that's why he rarely finds a woman he can fall for....he's in love with his van!

This is also in my top 5.. I saw posts about the voice overs and Yea they are kinda of cheesy but they also give some insight in the guys Nam experience..even though we know the guys were there they rarely touched on it.Except for the passing comment for back story ( Lin, Angel, 53 caddy) I don't think Ray was in the Unit..He was just a fellow soldier that they knew.Like the Doc from the island. And I saw people ask why if Ray supported the Team during their trial and Trish could get in contact with them after Ray was killed..why did no one ask for the teams help before..I wonder the same thing.

When I commented on the cheesy voiceovers, I meant the voiceovers nearer to the beginning of the episode, like with Murdock talking about the license plates, not the flashbacks when the team members reminisce (is that spelled right?) about Ray.
I still don't really feel that Ray was actually a part of the A-Team, but the photo that they all have with Ray may be evidence that he was indeed part of the actual team. We have not seen a photo of the team with any of the others that they just happened to know in 'Nam.

So the scene where Amy and Ray's widow defend the house with guns - it was dark (a good dark), a real sense of danger, and I think Amy did a really great job of using her initiative to protect them.... what I didn't like (and it's my least favourite part of the TV series as a whole) is that she eventually fends them off with a gun, like guns are the magic answer to everything. This is in hindsight, but maybe Ray's widow could have got a couple of dogs after Ray died - they are pretty good protection. Anyways. On the plus side, I liked it when Amy ran into Face's arms, and then proceeded to clutch his shirt for the rest of the scene. I really like their friendship / relationship / whatever it is they have going.

View AttachmentTo me, for all those shippers out there, THIS would be the scene that would showcase an Amy/Face relationship the best too. It makes you wonder if it might have come to pass if everyone had known from the beginning that Amy was there to stay. I like the serious tone this one takes and I love how it still stays a comedy too. I think the biggest scene for me, aside from the attempted rape scene, is the one where the guys are dumped out of the truck on the road. It looks really bad for them at that point and I was wondering how it would end. It would have been neat to see one or more of the guys have trouble keeping up or even having jitters after that.

I don't think I've ever noticed Amy holding onto Face's shirt or paid any special attention to that. Something new to watch for the next time I view this episode! This is why I need to keep watching the series over and over and over and over....

I love this episode, we get to see a bit of the guys in army mode, I always found it interesting to show what they was like in the army. Plus, they all look the part in their uniforms. The marching behind one another, the crossed fingers, love those small, but meaningful scenes, like they stick together through thick & thin. I think that's the sort of thing the film could never capture. The guy's friendship.

That's the best part about the whole show...their friendship, loyalty, and devotion to one another (in my opinion). But the characters also seem to really love one another, and I don't really see that kind of friendship in real life between guys very often. Maybe it is just the guys I know, but it doesn't seem to me like guys have a lot of really close friends, even though they may know many people.

I agee amyk, I think that really is my biggest problem with the end of S4 and Pretty much all 5 , that loyalty and feeling was gone, they seemed more like coworkers than a unit, if that makes sense.

Yes, I agree with you. Part of that may have been to the ever-increasing tensions between GP and Mr. T in real life, but with S5, I think that it also may have been due to the addition of Frankie and Stockwell as regular characters.

Yeah, you're right, that's wht was great about it, the friendship, I especially like in THE DOCTOR IS OUT when Murdock says the doctor is ' the 4th most important person in his life', I always think 'aww', we know the guys are important to him, but to hear him pretty much say it is nice to hear. I still see their friendships in S5, to be honest I don't dislike S5, I just didn't like the changes they made. I just think if they wanted to shake it up a bit they could have thought of something else other than bringing another person in and making them work for the government. You're right, worst thing for me about S5 was bringing Frankie in. I hated them bringing in another person, especially when it's been the 4 of them for so long. A lot of the best scenes was between the 4 of them and it just looked like to me tjat he was in the way, a bit like when someone's hanging around when 2 people are on a date! I can't believe they thought viewers would like a new person coming in. I like Robert Vaughn, but I didn't like them bringing Stockwell in either. Again, it was too much of a vast change. Part of the appeal was that they enjoyed helping people who were in trouble, not because they were forced to. It's as if they couldn't put their heart into it as much when they was given cases by Stockwell. Mainly because they like helping the needy people more.
I read somewhere GP said his feud with Mr T was blown out of proportion by the media, but at one point he went through Dirk & Dwight to speak to him, so it couldn't have been that blown up! Wonder if he was alive today if he would've let bygones be bygones and been friends, maybe done some appearances together. Or maybe they would have stayed estranged.

I agree that the working for the government is really a negative thing. At least there are some S5 episodes where they do their own thing and aren't really working for the government, like WITHOUT RESERVATIONS.
