I watched this one tonight. I give it a 7 on the Sidney scale ("very good"). One part I don't like is when Murdock goes and first sees the gold mine on the bike, because I don't think he would have really been out there so much in the open where they easily spot him. It just feels like an excuse for them to have a car/bike chase and maybe to fill in some time with that. But I do like that we get some more about BA's history and we get to see that he did have feelings for Deborah, yet he is noble enough to help her even though he may have been jealous of "the Duke." I like the scam Murdock pulls with the computer and the radiation. I don't like Face's version of Mr. Snavely very well, because he is using his whiny voice. But it is funny that he tries to pull the same scam that Murdock did. And I do like how Face was able to get that phone number by watching the rotary phone. I also like how Hannibal says "whittled me a gun" and then pull out his gun and starts shooting. And I like the whole thing with them having to dismantle the armored truck and then re-assemble it later. I don't like that Hannibal wasn't smart enough not to have them park the catering truck on the bridge. There was an obvious load limit, and even if the catering truck itself would not have crashed through the bridge, if there was truly gold in there, then it would have, right? So why didn't Hannibal realize that this would be a tip-off to the bad guys that there was not really any gold in the vehicle?
I also noticed something that I don't remember from before, but maybe I've noticed it before....when BA says something to affirm what Deborah said about raising a family, Murdock gives BA an odd look and holds it for some time. It's as though Murdock just realized for the first time that BA would like to have a family himself.
And we see the Tyler Towing sign yet again in this episode....I guess the Tylers expanded their business after the A-Team saved it???

This episode isn't one of my favorites. I like the B.A. backstory, but it just felt forced. Hard to say why...maybe because B.A. was the focus in a way we are not used to seeing him?
I'll have to look for the Tyler Towing sign again! How many episodes is it in, Amy?

Not sure, but I think I also may have seen it in COWBOY GEORGE.

I love your lists, Amy.
Have you kept track of all the different viewings you have done and what you have found?

I have lists of my rankings from the ending of each viewing, where that ending was each of the following months: May 2011, March 2014, and July 2016. I also have a current rankings list, and a top ten list for season 2 and a top ten list for season 3. But those are all probably posted somewhere in this forum already, along with other top ten lists that I made at various times.

I just reorder them in my mind each time I watch the series.

It's fun for me to compare previous lists when I finish going through the series to see what episodes have moved up or down in rankings.

I rewatched this one yesterday. It's enjoyable, but not one of my favourite eps. I do like that it's a personal case for one of the team. It's good to have an ep that focusses on BA and it's great that we learn a little more about his past - I love that Deborah called him Scooter in the telegram she sent him! I enjoyed the opening when it was just BA and Murdock together, especially when they scammed the computer. In some of those scenes we see how Murdock seems to enjoy deliberately annoying BA which we were talking about in another thread recently. I don't think he takes it too far, though and BA doesn't overreact either. It was sweet to hear BA talking to Murdock about how he wants to stay friends with Deborah, even though she's married his high school rival. I love how Hannibal makes them dismantle the entire truck and bury it with all the gold, only to make them dig it all up and reassemble it later. I'm surprised Face didn't do some serious complaining about it! The idea of doing the exchange on the bridge was not one of Hannibal's better plans and it does seem out of character that he didn't think it through and consider that the bridge did not look sturdy enough to take all that weight.

I think it was a bit strange that Deborah called him Scooter, because I would assume that was a nickname only BA's family would have used for him and that in school, he would have not even let people know that was his nickname. But maybe Deborah had been hanging around with BA from the time they were both little kids and heard his mama call him that? Maybe too she was trying to be careful to not use his real name in case somehow the government intercepted her message?

I agree, BA wouldn't have wanted all his classmates to know his mum called him Scooter! But Deborah told BA she'd called his mother to find out how to contact him, so it sounds like they stayed in touch over the years, or at least she'd kept Mrs B's number. Perhaps their mothers were friends when Deborah and BA were at school and they spent time at each others' homes when they were younger. (This is the kind of thing someone might like to write a story about - not my favourite kind of fan fiction, but I'm always interested to read them. )

This made me wonder what BA / Mr T would have looked like as a little kid - I would love to see a photo of Mr T when he was a little kid!

Has anyone seen any online? I've seen a photo of Dirk when he was a little boy (cute!), but not Mr T.

I don't know if I've ever seen one. I think he grew up pretty poor, and I don't know that his family would even have been able to afford those photos like a lot of people would get taken at department stores. And I'm not even sure if all schools, especially those in lower-income areas, did the "school photos" thing like a lot of schools did. (Do schools still do this?? Or is everything different now with the technology being so different and with social media, etc.?) But I did find his senior photo on Wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mr._TAnd I say "Very nice! Handsome!!" I really and truly would love to meet Mr T in real life and have sufficient time to talk to him about his life. He's a very interesting person who has come through a lot and yet come through it with grace, in my opinion.
