It is our Thanksgiving this weekend. I'm hoping that all the get-togethers doesn't result in Covid numbers growing in a couple of weeks. (I'm in the part of Canada where numbers are good right now. We do have a couple of provinces where the cases are high: Alberta and Saskatchewan especially. Actually, I hear NWT is being hit hard right now, too.) I had a nice weekend of special dinners with my immediate family. We went to my mother's yesterday and ate outside at a good socially-distanced distance. The Facebook accounts of people are being filled with photographs of gatherings indoors without masks, so I hope we didn't just shoot ourselves in the proverbial foot!
Communities around me are all close to 90% vaccinated (ages 12+), but I still worry about breakthough infections and those who can't be vaccinated getting sick.
All in all, Canada is 88% single-vaxxed and 83% double vaxxed (ages 12+). That is something to definitely be thankful for.

I wish our Thanksgiving was in early October, too. I don't like how it basically just becomes like an intro for the Christmas season. Plus I would prefer that it be when weather is warmer.
