When I take a screen grab of a netflix video, and now videos I'm watching on iTunes, the screen is black. Any way to fix this?

I've answered my own question. It's something almost everyone is doing now... DRV? DMV? Something like that. It's encoding software. Netflix does it now. iTunes. It's to combat piracy and copyright infringement, but it's really hurting a lot of people who just want to be creative. What about people who make lovely fan videos on YouTube? What about us who just like to take screenshots to talk about the tv show more? I bought the entire series on iTunes to make it easier on myself, but now I have to go back to my DVDs whenever I need to make a screenshot, and computers don't even have CDroms any more! I'm going to have to get a CDrom I can plug into my USB first! Or I can take pictures with my phone and use poorer quality photos.

Oh, I hate it that laptops don't have the thing to play DVDs any more. As you may recall, when I lived in Africa, I had a laptop that played DVDs and I took it pretty much everywhere with me (except out into villages, where there was no electricity anyway....) and I would usually haul along at least one season of A-TEAM so I could watch anytime, anywhere. Now I would have to have some extra piece of equipment. I use a DVD player with my TV that also has a VHS player!

There's a fix for that www.theverge.com/23715928/netflix-amazon-prime-screenshot-mac-windows-how-toCan verify definitely worked on Chrome. I can take screen captures on my laptop from Prime and Itunes now Prime: See screenshotItunes: See screenshot
