I don't recall seeing this clip before, although the stories told are ones that I think I've heard or read elsewhere: www.youtube.com/watch?v=MkKhVaGx22kHowever, I thought George didn't start going home at 5 p.m. until after John Ashley had his heart attack.

I had never heard that one either. I never saw GP as a prankster, although I could definitely see Hannibal.

Yeah, I guess Hannibal is a prankster, although not the kind who pulls pranks on teammates. The pranks he pulls are generally more like "revenge pranks" or "taunting-the-bad-guy pranks." But I also don't really think of GP as being the type of guy to pull pranks on people.
I've heard the stories before of him deleting lines of script that he didn't like or didn't think his character would say. But I do wonder how often he actually did that or if perhaps the stories are a bit exaggerated. In any case, maybe his doing that sometimes can explain why we occasionally feel things are said that are "out of character." Maybe the context for the line has changed due to GP's "editing."

I've kind of wondered how much influence all of them had for their characters. I've said before that I feel like Hannibal is GP playing GP, or maybe "GP as he wishes he was." Mr. T... I have a feeling he had a lot to say about who B.A. was. I've always had the impression that some of Murdock's "intellectual" stuff maybe was the influence of DS, never mind some of his quirks and I've wondered before if he's improvised. And I think there's some DB in Face, too-- he's definitely different than the TD Face.

Thanks for posting Amyk. Did you know or anyone on the board know roughly when John Ashley suffered the heart attack? Ive often wondered if it affected the quality of the show afterwards.

I don't know when it was that he had the heart attack but for some reason I was thinking it was a bit later in the series, like maybe about 4th season or at least 3rd season. But I don't know if I actually read that somewhere or if it is just made up in my mind like that.

According to some of the stuff I've seen, it looks like he might have had the heart attack before the first season aired...or at least during filming of it. He was on a different SJC show when it happened and when that show tanked, he came to the A-TEAM. He had another one that killed him, but I couldn't find anything between 1982 and his death to see if he had a third one.

If the heart was during 1982 and whilst filming the A-Team, then it would have had to have occured during either the pilot, PROS AND CONS or RABBIT. The rest of season 1 was filmed in 1983, I think.

This is from the 2004 SF Ball X held in England. I bought a DVD of it years ago and ripped and uploaded this clip to youtube. I could believe George being one of those people who would do something and then not tolerate it being done back. He and Mr T seemed very egotistical on The A-Team.
