One of the things we like to point out a lot is that we can see the stuntmen so clearly now that we can slow down the DVDs, enlarge the pictures, etc. Not that it wasn't easy already, but you get the idea. One of them I remember seeing all of the time was Jophery C. Brown. He was a stuntman for the series, but also acted in a few of the episodes, including three in Season 2 and one in Season 4. Now, having noticed him, he really wasn't someone I sought out more information about. Until the other day, when I learned about what he did BEFORE becoming a stuntman. He got into the business after his career ended in Major League Baseball pitching for the Chicago Cubs. And this was in a time when African Americans were still not represented or accepted well in the sport. But after he got hurt, he came to doing stunt work and was recognized as one of the best in the business! www.imdb.com/name/nm0113909/bio?ref_=nm_ov_bio_smMakes me wonder about the backstory of some of the others on the show that were not the main cast.

Interesting! See, I would love it if one of those stuntmen from the show would stumble across this forum and be willing to give us an "inside scoop" on what it was like working as a stuntman on TAT!

He is one of the most recognisable of the regular A-Team stunt men, and one of the ones that occasionally spoke a few lines. In DIAMONDS Jophrey was the bar-tender who tipped off the bad guys by phone that Miss Griffen and the A-Team were there.
Its not listed in imdb but Jophrey had a tiny onscreen part in the 1968 GP film "P.J.". Jophrey opens the door for GP's character in one scene. It perhaps suggests that Jophrey was also on the stunt crew for the movie.

Thanks for that bit of trivia, Pico Bob! Funny how he was actually in something with GP way before any of the regular cast of TAT ever were.

I need to pay more attention to the stunt guys, now (I'm not so great at noticing these things, even when they're said to be obvious).

This thread from 2020 contains a good picture of some of the regular A-Team stunt people. theateamforum.proboards.com/thread/2141/stunts?page=3In the source material the names got mixed up for Craig Baxley, stunt coordinator for every episode, and Dwight's stunt double Steve Chambers. The latter is on the left hand of the front row and Craig is the one second from left on the back row. Chambers seems constantly to appear in minor bad or semi- bad guy roles. He's one of the bikers in BLACK DAY, an MP in ONE MORE TIME, a hijacker in BEAST, one of Royce's goons in ROAD GAMES, and so on. I also recognise Henry Kingi. Apparently he did a lot of the driving stunts, but he would also appear sometimes in minor bad guy roles, albeit less often than Chambers. Its pretty obvious from the picture that the late Bobby Orrison was GP's stunt double. He was about the same age as Peppard. It lends credibility to the stunts that he performed. I am starting to look out for Orrison in minor bad guy roles too.
