CHAMP! First aired: 1/22/1985 B.A. goes undercover as a boxer to stop the manipulation of boxing matches, when he finds out, that the money is used for drug-trafficking. Director: Michael O'Herlihy Guest star: Greg Collins (Unknown), Lana Clarkson (Sonny Monroe's girlfriend), Jimmy Lennon Sr. (Himself), Alex Rocco (Sonny Monroe), Bruce Tuthill (Cook), Lou Fillipo (Referee), Joe E. Tata (McGrudy), d*ck Balduzzi (Mick Halligan), Herman Poppe (Roarke), Daniel Faraldo (Billy Marquette), Holly Gagnier (Tina) Commentary:This episode has always been about a two bullet one too. I like that we get to see B.A. box, but the parts about the team owning a fighter was a little forced, as was B.A.'s sudden recovery from a drug that was inducing him to fall asleep. Somehow Murdock inspires him to fight past it, which is a little forced too. Notes:- B.A. impersonates boxer Volcano Johnson while Hannibal plays his manager Jimmy Pearl.
- Boxer Billy Marquette was downed outside the gym, but somehow, the sister of the boxer saw it, screamed, and the A-Team heard it somehow.
- I have never heard of an ambulance being called for breaking a hand.
Special guest stars:- Well known actor Alex Rocco would make his one and only A-Team appearance in this episode as Sonny Monroe.
- Jimmy Lennon Sr. would guest star once on the A-Team as himself in this episode.

SKINS First aired: 1/29/1985 The A-Team travels to Kenya to deal with game poachers who have included a game warden among their kills. Nobody seems able to stop them, so the A-Team must rescue the game preserve. But how to get B.A. in the plane this time? Writer: Mark Jones Director: Dennis Donnelly Guest star: Tony O'Neil (Steele), Daphne Maxwell Reid (Kamora Kaboko), John Quade (McKaydoo), John Calvin (Madrid), Jessie Lawrence Ferguson (Unknown), Darin Taylor (Unknown), Mike Moroff (Seegar) Commentary:This one is really only a three bullet episode. I like that B.A. agrees to travel and then has to be drugged again and the animals that are part of the episode. However, I agree with Face that the bad guys aren't what they used to be like. It seems too easy, especially with the OBVIOUS prop animal skins that the team tries to pass off as real. Notes:- This episode is one of precious few in which a person (Kim) loses his life.
- The local cops could not prove that Kim had been the victim of foul play, even though an autopsy would have shown that he had been shot BEFORE being burned.
Special guest stars:- All have already been mentioned in other posts.

ROAD GAMES First aired: 2/5/1985 Face has to infiltrate a gambling ring to clear a man's gambling debts and to save the foster home he runs. Things gets complicated, when the A-Team has to pursue the venue. Writer: Mark Jones Director: Dennis Donnelly Guest star: Lance LeGault (Colonel Roderick Decker), Carl Franklin (Captain Crane) , Frank Marth (Gentleman Jim Sullivan), Kathy Baldwin (Ginger Fontaine), Read Morgan (Earl), Edward Winter (Johnny Royce), Daphne Ashbrook (Patty Sullivan), Kaz Garas (Meeks), Candy Olsen (Sally), Michael Buccelato (Kevin), Nick Cavanaugh (Tony), Brad Fisher (Thompson), Don Maxwell (Hansen), Lia Yoon (Kid #1), De Shá Bynun (Kid #2), Brian Autenreighth (Kid #3) Commentary:This episode is four bullets in my mind. Face gets to go undercover and uncover a gambling scheme to save an orphanage, one of the few times that he will agree to work for free voluntarily. Even Decker appears in this episode trying to hunt down the team. Not a five bullet, but good overall. Notes:- When B.A. shoots up the bar, some of the glass doesn't break even though the bullets bounced off of it.
- Hannibal shoots up the jukebox in the same scene, but after they run out, the jukebox has no holes in it.
Special guest stars:- Katy Baldwin would make her final of two documented acting roles in this episode as Ginger.
- Candy Olsen would make her first of two documented acting roles in this episode as Sally.
- Michael Buccelato would make his only ever documented acting role as Kevin in this episode.
- Nick Cavanaugh would make his first of only two ever documented acting roles in this episode as Tony.
- Don Maxwell (I) will be a familiar site to most SJC fans. He would guest star twice in the A-Team: Once as Hansen in this episode and once as Sheriff Bellows in BOUNTY. Before his two stints on the A-TEAM, he had two stints as a guest star on the GREATEST AMERICAN HERO: Once as a motorcycle cop in OPERATION: SPOILSPORT and once as Brockman in WHO'S WOO IN AMERICA.
- Lia Yoon would make the one and only ever documented acting role in this episode as the first kid.
- DeSha Bynum would make the one and only ever documented acting role in this episode as the second kid.

MOVING TARGETS First aired: 2/12/1985 A Middle Eastern potentate hires the A-Team to protect his about-to-be-married daughter despite her ideas to the contrary. But the wedding might be more endangered by the love interest Face shows towards the princess than through the terrorists. B.A. tries a new tactic to avoid flying. Writer: Mark Jones Director: Dennis Donnelly Guest star: Maurice Serbanee (Claudio), Sue Kiel (Salina), John Saxon (Korem), Frank Annese (Senbet), Jack Heller (Jabur), Kavi Raz (Unknown), Ava Lazar (Unknown), Adam Ageli (Unknown), John Hamelin (Abdul) Commentary:This is really only a three bullet to me. It is great to see the A-Team infiltrate a sheik's palace in the beginning and then outsmart the bad guys at the airport. Even some of the romps in the jungle are great. Overall though, it was very similar to the second season HARDER THAN IT LOOKS and that made it somewhat boring and repetitive. Notes:- This episode marks the second of two unrelated appearances by Frank Annese.
- This is the second episode to star John Saxon as the bad guy. In the first season episode Children of Jamestown, John played bad guy Martin James.
- We see footage of the plane crash from HOLIDAY IN THE HILLS again.
- The writers are getting smarter and saying that it was a country in Africa, but did not specifically name it.
Special guest stars:- All have already been mentioned in other posts.

KNIGHTS OF THE ROAD First aired: 2/26/1985 The A-Team comes to the aid of an auto mechanic being driven out of business by a ruthless competitor. Things turn out to be more complicated, when they discover drugs are part of the game. Writer: Burt Pearl, Steven L. Sears Director: Michael O'Herlihy Guest star: Don Stroud (Tyler), Carlos Romero (I) (Zunigan), Tim McMullen (Carson), Deborah Goodrich (Jenny), Ji Tu Cumbuka (Unknown), Jimmie F. Skaggs (Unknown), Ricardo Lopez (Unknown), Galyn Gorg (Cathy), Russ McCubbin (Freddy), John Kelly (Old Man), Marty Imsland (Jessie), Carlos Rivas (Police Officer) Commentary:A definite five bullet episode. We get to see the team take on a rival tow truck company, we see Murdock get taken to Mexico where he has to escape the bad guys and save the team from rotting in a Mexican prison. Plus, we have Murdock's whole perspective that they are knights of the road, which helps to make this episode a must-see. Notes:- Continuity: We see Murdock's arms cleaning a car. However, at that very same moment he is actually captured in Mexico.
- Continuity: Metal screens on the windows and windshields of the A-Team's tow trucks appear and disappear in various shots in the beginning of the episode.
- Continuity: When the A Team are led into the jail cell you can see Murdock's arms in the leather jacket, however he is outside the jail waiting.
Special guest stars:- Ji-Tu Cumbuka would make two guest star appearances in the A-Team, once in this episode and once in THE HEART OF ROCK N' ROLL. In both episodes, he would play unnamed characters.
- Marty Imsland would make his one and only documented acting appearance ever in this episode as Jessie.

WASTE 'EM! First aired: 3/5/1985 The A-Team discovers a plot to dump toxic waste, which has been used by criminals for years, when they try to protect a young man and his blind sister from harassment. Writer: Stephen Katz, Mark Jones Director: Sydney Hayers Guest star: Carrell Myers (Nurse), Richard Herd (Jonathan Durcell), Joseph Hacker (A.J.), Stacey Nelkin (Lisa), John Dennis Johnston (Archer), Mitchell Ryan (Ike Hagen), Bruce Tuthill (Louis) Commentary:Good episode overall, but not worth five bullets. It was great to see everyone involved in the action and the guest stars, including the lady who played the blind sister, was great. This episode had great action overall too. Notes:- A made-up alter-ego, which happens to be named "Lefty." He's in Murdock's right hand.
- In the opening scene, a van is smashed by two garbage trucks, but there was no damage to the garbage trucks. Plus, none of the materials in the van ended up outside the wreck when it was smashed.
- In a following scene, B.A. and Face shoot out the headlights of a garbage truck...yet, a few seconds later, they are back in place...and then a few seconds later, they are gone again.
Special guest stars:- Richard Herd (I) would make his one and only guest star role in this episode as Jonathan Durcell. He is easily recognizable from his former role in the GREATEST AMERICAN HERO pilot as Vice President Adam Taft.

BOUNTY First aired: 4/2/1985 Murdock is kidnapped by bounty hunters that hope to use him as bait to capture the rest of the A-Team. When the Team arrives to rescue him, they find he has fallen in love with a veterinarian who tired to save him. With Decker on the way to pay off the bounty hunters, the A-Team has to find a way to rescue Murdock, the girl and beat Decker and the bounty hunters. Writer: Mark Jones, Stephen Katz Director: Michael O'Herlihy Guest star: Lance LeGault (Colonel Roderick Decker), Carl Franklin (Captain Crane) , Mickey Jones (Cowboy Billy Bob), Joan Roberts (Phone Service Secretary), Wendy Fulton (Dr. Kelly Stevens), Gene Evans (Darrow), Bill McKinney (Royko), Edy Roberts (Nurse), Mike Tully (Orderly), Michael Chieffo (Mel), Don Maxwell (Sheriff Bellows), Huck Liggett (Deputy), Paul Koslo (Unknown) Commentary:This episode is great because we get to see Murdock get kidnapped from the V.A. as bait for the A-Team. We see him escape and fall in love with the lovely lady who saves him. Then, with the rest of the team, they take it to the bad guys and leave them for Decker. Great episode. Notes:- Wendy Fulton is Dwight Schultz's real life wife.
- The team rigs a remote-controlled dual-machine-gun mount behind the grille of B.A.'s van.
- Continuity: At the telephone exchange, the computer shows the address as 125 Mason Road. However, Face tells Hannibal that the address is 125 South Mason Road.
Special guest stars:- All have already been mentioned in other posts.

BEVERLY HILLS ASSAULT First aired: 4/9/1985 The A-Team goes uptown and gets involved with an art dealer who has been replacing original paintings with fakes ones. Who's better to pretend to be a painter than Murdock? Writer: Paul Birnbaum Director: Craig R. Baxley Guest star: Tony Ciccone (Security Guard) , Michael Young (Evans), Maylo McCaslin (Peggy), Dennis Franz (Brooks), Lloyd Bochner (Steffan Shawn), Bruce Glover (Unknown), Kathy Witt (Unknown), Branscombe Richmond (Unknown), Garnett Smith (Unknown), David Westgor (Speed), Kim Fuster (Tina), Linda DeSoto (Woman), Nik Celozzi (Kid) Commentary:Five bullets overall as the team goes into action to help save young painters from being forced to make cheap copies of paintings. Murdock is great as the new painter and does a great job of acting eccentric. The A-Team even gets caught, but a great save by Hannibal sends them charging to the rescue. Great episode overall. Notes:- Face plays a critic from Art Gallery magazine, which is a real magazine.
- There is a replication of Monet's WILD POPPIES, which is a real painting.
- The Corvette is not in this episode, but Face rents an Excalibur that they drive around instead.
- The second painting YOUNG GIRL ARRANGING EARRINGS is called a lost Renoir.
Special guest stars:- Well-known Native American stuntman and singer Branscombe Richmond would guest star twice in the A-Team in unrelated roles. His first would be in this episode as an unnamed role. His second would be an uncredited appearance in THE TROUBLE WITH HARRY. SJC fans might recognize him as one of the bar patrons in THE GREATEST AMERICAN HEROINE.
- David Westgor would guest star twice in the A-Team, once as Speed in this episode. He would appear again later as Howard in BODY SLAM.
- Linda DeSoto would make her one and only documented acting appearance as a woman in this episode.

TROUBLE BREWING First aired: 5/7/1985 Two sisters ask the A-Team for help when they are pressured to convert their all-natural soda pop bottling plant into a brewery. The A-Team has seen too many friends turn into alcoholics, they agree to help immediately. Writer: Burt Pearl, Steven L. Sears Director: Michael O'Herlihy Guest star: Claudia Christian (Cathy Rogers), Suzanne Barnes (Maryann), Louis Giambalvo (Jason Webb), Cal Gibson (Unknown), Nick Mariano (Worker) Commentary:A five bullet episode as well. We get to see the team take over the Hi-Brite soda factory and Face set up an advertising agency and sell a lot of it. Plus, Face does a great job of switching trucks with a beer truck to have others make the deliveries. And you have to love Murdock's health kick where he tries to convince the rest of the team to eat well and take vitamins. Notes:- In the opening crash, you can see that the truck is a roll-top, which means there is no open space at the top. Yet, when this truck flies through the air, you can see that the door opens from the top, not the bottom.
- Face says "Promotion" is his middle name. In the episode THERE'S ALWAYS A CATCH, "Fantasy" was his middle name.
Special guest stars:- All guest stars have already been mentioned in other posts.

INCIDENT AT CRYSTAL LAKE First aired: 5/14/1985 Production Code: 1306 The A-Team's planned fishing vacation at Crystal Lake retreat is ruined when Decker and his men show up. But that's only the beginning of their problems. Writer: Frank Lupo Director: Tony Mordente Guest star: Lance LeGault (Colonel Roderick Decker), Carl Franklin (Captain Crane) , Mindi Iden (Kelly), Christopher Stone (Gavin), Judson Scott (Maxwell), Robert Gray (Gandy), Beau Billingslea (Armored car guard), Christopher Kriesa (Firefighter Tad), Robert Tessier (Mute), Ken Swofford (Roy), Kristen Meadows (Jenny) Commentary:This may be THE best episode of the entire series to me. We have a team that is somewhat similar to an evil A-Team as well as having Decker close in and catch the A-Team after a lady Face befriends turns them in. This episode has great elements of action and the team even helps Decker by catching the bad guys, who assaulted him to get away from the A-Team. Great ending fight sequence as well. In my mind, if you never watch another episode, you should watch this one. I would have given it more bullets than five, but I wanted to be fair. Notes:- Blondie's "One Way or Another" plays during the opening scene and closing scene.
Goof: For some unknown reason, Hannibal wears a Band-Aid on his chin for this entire episode. Did he cut himself shaving?
Goof: Jenny tells the bad guys that the A-Team van has no side windows or rear windows. The A-Team van actually does have rear windows, but they are blacked out.
Special guest stars:- Robert Gray (II) would make only one appearance on the A-Team in this episode as Candy. He had guest starred previously in the SJC production THE GREATEST AMERICAN HERO as Phillips in DIVORCE VENUSIAN STYLE.
- Judson Earney Scott (credited as Judson Scott) would make his only A-Team appearance in this episode as Maxwell. Most SJC fans would recognize him as appearing opposite the GREATEST AMERICAN HERO cast in the episode IT'S ONLY ROCK AND ROLL as Dak Hampton.
- Beau Billingslea would make two unrelated guest star appearances in the A-Team. His first role would be in this episode as the armored car guard. His second role would be in the episode FAMILY REUNION as Owens.
