I agree about the continuity problem with the writers. I understand that it would be hard to churn out a new episode each week, but I would think it would make sense to have some kind of editor whose sole purpose would be to make sure that the writing is consistent for the characters and who would have some kind of authority to make changes in the scripts. Actually, since I love details, that is a job that I would probably enjoy doing.
Soap operas, especially, seem to need to watch out for this continuity problem. After all, their fans have sometimes watched these characters for 30 or more years and know every detail about them and think of them almost as family. So when new writers come on a soap, it can be really frustrating for die-hard fans if it seems like the new writers never even bother to investigate the past history of the characters or want to take them in completely strange directions.

The problem was that the editor in charge was usually one of the senior writers. When writers turn over, so do editors and that can cause the problem. If you are a habitual credit watcher as I am, you can see the changes over time.
I would have just loved to write scripts. ;D

I do have so much fun writing the scripts that miz and I are doing. It just makes me feel like I'm watching new episodes, and the best part is that we can make the characters be exactly how WE think they should be and not have to complain about what the writers did. I don't think I could be creative enough though to write really exciting new characters and make a whole series. I need something already there to go on. Now if I just had more time to do this hobby!

I have written several scripts for shows and I have ideas for original shows, but I am not famous enough to get them done.

Amen, sistah (especially that last part.) I think among our regulars here, there's more than enough creativity and talent to come up with either a TAT revival or a brand new show with the same brand of humor and action. And I stand by the idea of us all doing the TAT companion book! Mosame could do the artwork and graphics, HD and Amy could tackle the episode guides, and maybe I could be the gatecrasher like that BRING BACK THE A-TEAM guy to go out and get interviews with the cast and crew. It could work.

I had a great thought about this the other day, but we are so close to the convention happening that I don't see us getting it done in time. And Amy and I would fight. I would want to use my bullet-ratings that I already compiled. ;D

You could use your bullet ratings all you want, HD. I'd be happy just to write something about the details of the episodes or make some commentary or whatever.

But we disagree on the ratings for some of them. It would be neat to make a very professional compilation if we had time. If nothing else, maybe we could make little business cards for them so they remember to log on here. ;D

Cute, cute! ;D His sons are much older now, right? It would be cool if we could see a family photo of DS with his wife and daughter too.
