You can be whatever kind of fan you want. We love you anyway. ;D I think things are cyclical. We get tired of one thing, then come back to it with open arms months or even years later. That's the nice thing about shows on DVD. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) I think I'll always be a fan of Murdock to some degree because he represents for me the kind of guy I've always hoped to meet. And in some other way, I see him as the kind of brother I always wished I'd had. Not to mention that DS is just a phenomenal talent. ;D

I know (partially) what the deal is with DS. Since he's such a firebrand conservative, and the predominant culture in Hollywood is left-leaning, he's pretty much decided to stay out of movies because conservative entertainers get a really hard time of it in the US. And that's just the way it is. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) I think he was lucky in terms of TAT because it was such a product of the Reagan 80s, and it was OK to be a right-winger back then. Not so much now. (Have you read his political columns, Mosame?) Plus, I'm guessing he's that rare guy for whom family time and privacy are more important than fame and fortune. I can't begrudge him at all for that. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

Same thing, isn't it? ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) Well, no. In your case it is, though, after that explanation. How come you're not a member of any Dr Who forum, and why does it suck to be a fan of it? Isn't there tons of stuff to watch?

I think it is fine to be fans of multiple things at one time. I'm not only a fan of TAT. I do have more to my life than just that show and this forum, even if it may not seem so based on the number of posts I put on here! ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) But believe me, the number of posts I made to this forum is nothing compared to the number of emails I deal with concerning the rest of my life and my work. ;D I'm a fan of many things all at once, I guess.

As am I. In fact, on Halloween, I took time out to do an ADDAMS FAMILY marathon and the like. If you see my entertainment center, you would see that I am a fan of multiple television shows. That's why it's easy for me to stay a fan. ;D

There's about 10 things off the top of my head I guess I could say I'm a fan of. So, in that respect, I guess I'm not a "hardcore nutball." ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) It's just TAT is my biggest fandom right now. I think the real hardcore nutballs are the ones who stalk the stars of the show, get tattoos related to the fandom, name their children after cast members, etc., etc. Now do any of us do that? ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

I'm not anticipating doing any of that. But hey I don't even have a Murdock jacket. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) In fact, I really am not the kind of fan that collects anything other than the DVDs of the show. If you base my fandom on what I have the most of collection-wise, then I may have the most stuff about the racehorse Ruffian than anything else. Or at least horseracing in general. Maybe followed closely by what I lovingly refer to as my "James Cagney shrine" which is a collection of Jimmy Cagney photos and the Jimmy Cagney stamps which came out a few years ago all put together into one thing that can be hung on the wall. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

I have been acquiring more A-TEAM stuff so I would say it is probably one of my top fandoms of television, but nothing to obsess completely over. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

I can't begrudge him at all for that. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Now I'm confused. If he's the guy who wouldn't normally be asked to play in any Hollywood production, then he just agrees happily to play any role in any movie just for money because his "family time and privacy are more important than fame and fortune"? Well, after all, being an actor is just a job. And I really have no idea why I thought that DS was more of an artist than an actor. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) And that's because...? ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/shocked.png) How come you're not a member of any Dr Who forum, and why does it suck to be a fan of it? Isn't there tons of stuff to watch? I am a member of quite a few DW and DW related forums (forgot which ones, actually ![:-[](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/embarrassed.png) ). I just don't post there. LJ keeps me busy enough, I guess. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Generally being a DW fan is a nice thing. Not to give away too many spoilers (in case Miz is ever going to watch it ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) ), but my beloved Doctor will regenerate (read: "die") soon and if it wasn't sad enough, I have a reason to believe that I'm doomed to see many even more depressive and probably badly written scenes which may ruin the show or at least the character of the Doctor for me. And the image of me crying and bagging my head against the wall after I see this, is not something that makes me particularly happy about being a DW fan. My head still aches after that fiasco the last season of TW was... I think the real hardcore nutballs are the ones who stalk the stars of the show, get tattoos related to the fandom, name their children after cast members, etc., etc. Now do any of us do that? ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Oh, that would be me. ;D Except stalking and tattoos. I hate tattoos. Plus I think, you should add "dress as their favorite characters" to this list. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

Not that any of us on this forum would ever do that, or would ever attend any fan conventions, huh? ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) What is LJ?

My sister went to a Star Trek convention and some people got married there wearing ST uniforms. So you won't be a complete dork until you get married wearing A-Team clothes, I guess. But that would be strange if you dress as Murdock and marry some guy dressed as another member of the team.....I guess you could dress as Murdock dressed as the bride in TILL DEATH DO US PART. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) Or you could wear a Tawnia Baker dress and have your husband dress as Brian Lefcourt. ;D
