Pleasure to meet you all! I'm a homeschooled high school senior (and a moderator on the MacGyver forums) and am a recent fan of The A-Team! I've always been more attracted to shows from before my time and A-Team is one of them that takes the cake. I've been watching it with my sisters and we're starting season 4 tonight. As you can tell by my username, Face is one of my favorites (surprise, surprise!). But I LOVE the whole Team. <3 The chemistry is just fantastic. I'm also a self taught artist with each member of the Team on my to do list. I'm an aspiring pilot, a lover of all critters, and am currently owned by a cockatiel, and a Golden Retriever named Billy. Kidding. Her name is Dixie. You'll more than likely be seeing photos, videos, and hearing me jabber about her more than a few times. Anywho, thought I'd introduce myself before I go poking around the wealth of information in these forums. .... ;D..... Don't smile at me like that...that's not even a real smile! It's just a bunch of teeth playing with my mind!

Hi there! I'm a homeschool mom so I know where you're coming from.
A recent fan, huh? I admit, I've been a fan for only just shy of a year, but I'm in hook, line, and sinker!
I'm a Murdock/Face girl. Oh heck, I love them all. I'm a BA girl. I'm a Hannibal girl. I love them all.
So you're just now making your way through the show for the first time? And just starting S4? Gonna warn you - S4 is a little strange. It's not like the first 3. And then S5...yeah.
Anyway, welcome, poke around, and jump in the conversations!

Thank you for the warm welcome, Jenna! Haha, yes! Face and Murdock, I love - but you just can't have one team member without the other, y'know? ;D Murdock always gets me laughing, BA is a gentle soul underneath that tough exterior, Face is...well Face , and where would we be without Hannibal? Yes, ma'am, first time through for us! Another homeschooled friend of mine kept telling me what a good show it was, so after finishing MacGyver, I've finally gotten around to the A-Team. And thanks for the heads up! By the way, those gifs in your signature are very cool! ^.^

Hi TPeck, welcome to the board! Like Jenna, I'm a Murdock and Face fan (but Murdock is my number 1 though ^^). I love McGyver too, but the A-Team is the only 80's show I really can't get enough of (hmmm not sure that last sentence is correct...). I just can't stop laughing when watching episodes. Like you said, the chemistry between the four of them is just fantastic. See you around! ;-)

You know what's funny? I can't stand McGyver because it's just too cheesy and unrealistic...
like the A-Team ISN'T cheesy and is TOTALLY realistic...yeah. Whatever.

Welcome TPeck Was only just chatting before with a dear friend of mine about Macgyver too, great show as well. grew up in the 80s and never really moved on myself, A-Team, Knight Rider, MacGyver, Dukes, all great shows, much more enjoyable and entertaining than things on TV today, in my opinion. Welcome to the group

I just cannot stop laughing. ;D Everyone needs a good dose of laughter. So when we need a laugh, we prescribe the A-Team. Not to mention all of the action and great acting. Thanks for the welcome! ^^ You know what's funny? I can't stand McGyver because it's just too cheesy and unrealistic... like the A-Team ISN'T cheesy and is TOTALLY realistic...yeah. Whatever. LOL! I love MacGyver because of the morals incorporated into the main character, the ingenuity, resourcefulness, and the way Mac isn't your everyday hero. Lol, have you all ever noticed how often the guy falls on his bum during a fight or something? XD BUT the show isn't as funny as the A-Team. Welcome to the group Thank you! ^^ My point exactly. I've grown up on Roy Rogers, The Lone Ranger, (way too many westerns! lol), Hogan's Heroes, Bonanza, Rawhide, Get Smart, etc. Not to mention the various old radio shows like 'Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar', 'Richard Diamond: Private Detective', 'The Adventures of Philip Marlowe', etc. And now the A-Team. Seems like shows today have so much immorality, filthy language, and garbage on them, it's sickening. I love to enjoy clean shows like the A Team. Take the new Battlestar Galactica for example (first off, may I just say that I hate they made Starbuck a girl - I've nothing against the actress, but they could've at least kept Starbuck a male -.-); the old BSG valued loyalty and friendship highly. The new BSG can't seem to keep any consistency.

Have you ever read Dirk's rant about the new Starbuck/BSG? It's on his website somewhere.

No, I haven't. I'll have to mosey over there sometime today! I just got his autobiography from the library too, but have yet to begin reading.

Welcome, tpeck95! I love it that you are in high school but love THE A-TEAM....I was in high school when the A-TEAM was originally on and am a fan from the original airing!
Colonel Smith!!! I'm so excited, someone other than me knows Old-Time Radio and "Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar" - I love that one and also BOSTON BLACKIE! But my favorite is George Burns and Gracie Allen, although I also love SUSPENSE, and X Minus One (also called "Dimension X" I think in some seasons)!

No waaaay!!!!! Have you any idea how exciting this is for me!? Out of all the people I've ever come across there was only ONE who even listened to Old Time Radio and even he hadn't heard of Johnny Dollar. How can you not know Johnny Dollar!? XD The last show to ever air from the Golden Age of Radio. YES! I LOVE Boston Blackie and Suspense too!!! Boston Blackie was my first detective, but Johnny Dollar is my absolute FAVORITE! I also like Red Skelton (loved him best on radio!), Jack Benny, Amos and Andy, Let George Do It (Bob Bailey was the star and fantastic! The first ?5? episodes were more like comedy and he did that very well too), Box 13, The Six Shooter, Rogue's Gallery (another Dick Powell show!), oh gosh there's so many! I like Burns and Allen too!! And Ozzie and Harriet.

Cracks me up that Johnny Dollar gets so involved in all these mysteries....but you know what? George Peppard was in a series called BANACEK and guess what he played? yes, an insurance investigator! Only he was already rich, and I don't think he had "an action-packed expense account"!
I love it that people on here know these radio programs!

Welcome, TPeck! I will come back and comment more later but for now: I am first and foremost a Facegirl but love all the guys and their chemistry. I think it may be the very best part of the show. So glad you found it (and us)! I have spent probably way too much time watching/analyzing all of them, especially Face. Looking forward to having you join the discussions and feel free to create your own too. I also wanted to comment on your signature: Look to this day..... It's one of my all time favorite poems, first discovered back in the day on the A-Team and also received much later as a wedding present. Your smile quote is one of my absolute favorites from Face too. P.S. My apologies if this has been discussed previously but do you have any particular favorite episodes so far?

I think that a lot of the content in today's shows just appeals to people's lowest common animalistic instincts and desires. It's nice to talk to people who feel the same way. The 1960's was a great time period of TV shows, as you said Get Smart, Hogan's Heroes, these shows were really well done, a satire, dry humour that actually was funny, poked fun at the irony, absurdity, without actually ridiculing people and putting people down in a humiliating, degrading sort of way, which I think is common these days in American comedy’s The 1966 Batman series, great show that you could watch with your entire family, Brady Bunch, Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Gilligan's Island,

Only he was already rich, and I don't think he had "an action-packed expense account"! I love it that people on here know these radio programs! Really? =D I HAVE to see that, for sure! ^^ It's really exciting to meet someone else who listens to them. c: In the episode ONE MORE TIME, I got a kick out of it when Murdock tells Amy, "Now, come on, how about, um, Penny? And I can be... Sky King!" He was most likely referring to Sky King when it moved on to TV, but I've listened to the radio program. ;D Welcome, TPeck! I will come back and comment more later but for now: I am first and foremost a Facegirl but love all the guys and their chemistry. I think it may be the very best part of the show. Your smile quote is one of my absolute favorites from Face too. P.S. My apologies if this has been discussed previously but do you have any particular favorite episodes so far? Ditto! I agree. They make such a great team, and the actors just meshed the characters together so well. /also spends too much time analyzing Face and the TeamIt is a very beautiful poem! I actually found it first, too, on the A-Team by going through Face's quotes on iMDB. Hehe, that's one of my favorite Face quotes too! ;D No apologies necessary! ^^ So far, I'm in love with nearly all of the episodes, but a few that really stand out to me are: INCIDENT AT CRYSTAL LAKE BLACK DAY AT BAD ROCK HOLIDAY IN THE HILLS and ONE MORE TIME "One More Time" really stuck with me because I remember watching it with my uncle when I was about 6 or so. The part when Face is in front of the firing squad and onwards.
