It's no secret how much I hated them working for Stockwell. I just felt it really went against the rest of the series and the "independent spirit" of the team, especially the character of Hannibal.

Hear, hear! I couldn't agree more. I hated seeing Hannibal having to tow the line under the smarmy Stockwell. It did change the dynamics of the team.

Do you think they tried to set up some kind of dynamic between Stockwell and Hannibal like what they had tried with Decker and Hannibal? But I guess not really the same, since technically Stockwell and the team were supposed to be on the same side. I just always felt that Stockwell was not really on the side of the team and really only cared about himself and having power. I don't even feel like he really is a loyal patriot and cares all that much about the USA. I just think he was on a power trip.

Looking forward to reading your Decker/Hannibal contributions! Well, amyk, I'm going to get on my political box here. I read somewhere that Robert Vaughn was a good friend of George Peppard. He was brought in to relieve tension between GP and Mr T, who, apparently were not getting on well together. But you are right. It didn't work with them both being on the wrong side of the fence. That human element disappeared from the show, vwhich was much more endearing to watch than some boring government plot. And I missed Decker giving them a hard time!

Yes, I've also heard or read aboutt Robert Vaughn being brought in for the same reason, although it is not really clear to me how or if he succeeded in easing that tension.

There was still good chemistry between the actors, which helped floss over their personal differences. Plus, I'm just trying to remember whether their characters had as much to do once S5 got going. My recollection seems to be of Dwight and Dirk getting most of the dialogue and action. In fact, the writers always seemed to like making Face suffer the most! I'll have to dig S5 out at some stage and check it out again.

Oh by the way, I've just noticed I've made the rank of Sergeant! Blimey - that was the quickest promotion ever! LOL!

Yeah, well enjoy the promotions now because it takes forever and ever it seems to become a Colonel! But then it seems I somehow was promoted to 1-star General quite rapidly....
