And generally I will tend to focus on the "second banana" character - often a not-so-good-looking-but-funny guy. Like I prefer Cosmo over Don Lockwood in SINGIN' IN THE RAIN. I prefer Nathan Detroit to Skye Masterson in GUYS AND DOLLS. And I liked the character of Riley in NATIONAL TREASURE more than the Nicolas Cage character, whose name I cannot even remember! Maybe that was why I liked Murdock so much when the show was new. Nicolas Cage played Benjamin Gates in NATIONAL TREASURE. ;D Are you saying you don't like Murdock now, Amy?

Oh, Amy do you mean that Murdock is a not-so-good-looking-but-funny guy? How can you say that? Miz, I watched Twilight (you know that I have a crush on vampires ) and I think that Edward Cullen (Robert Pattison) was quite a nice vampire with brown eyes (which changed to black at some points) and a great sense of humor. Some dialogs were really funny (I think the books must be better) but I was really disappointed with the movie and with the way the vampires were presented in it.

Now please don't shoot any taffy ammunition or cabbages at me, but....I think Murdock has a sweet face, but in general I don't think I would be saying "oh wow look at that guy...isn't he the best-looking guy?" And remember back in the '80s when this thing came on Murdock's "look" would not really have been considered handsome. I don't remember thinking "that Murdock is really good looking" but I do remember thinking he was really funny and a great guy! ;D And OF COURSE I still like him!!! I love all those guys! I'm SHOCKED if you think I don't! ;D

Sweet face? Yeah, yeah, yeah... I know what you mean, that Face is the one gals are *supposed* to like. Murdock is like port or green olives; he takes a certain kind of gal to appreciate his unique style. ;D (I mean, I love the guy, but his khakis are always a few inches too short!) And Amy, I know you love all the guys. We're just giving you a hard time.

I love it that Murdock's pants are too short.....I think that is more endearing. But you know how much I usually don't like it when they try to dress him for "high society"! ;D

Riley is the cool character in NATIONAL TREASURE anyway.

I love the scene where he is whining in the back of the car.

Amy, I'm hopeless for skinny, funny Dork Boys (Joxer in XENA, Lt. Randy Disher in MONK, Cameron in FERRIS BUELLER'S DAY OFF, Riley in NATIONAL TREASURE, Hugh Laurie in any of the Blackadders) so I know what you mean! Murdock, of course, falls squarely into this category. Anyway, back to DB. All I've got to say to this shot is, is he trying to compensate for something? ;D

Probably trying to compensate for lack of George Peppard. ;D

Thanks, Dukeboy. That sure is one big honkin' cigar. Another magazine cover featuring DB. He was quite the cover boy back then:

If DS were ever on the cover of a magazine, it would probably be National Review, Scientific American, something like that. With all this talk about DB as Starbuck, well, here he is! ;D

He looks so boyish there. And I prefer him in his older days. (Yet, I still think that DS looks much better in glasses )
