Since this is the only thread where you lurkers can post, I have some questions for you: What brought you here to this Fan Forum? Are you big fans of the A-Team or just curious about it or what? And is there some way we can get you to register and start posting in the other threads? ;D

Good point, Amy. I know there's a lot of die hard fans out there, some of whom are "second-generation" fans like me who never watched the show the first time around. And I'm guessing there will be a new crop once the movie comes out. ;D
My question to lurkers: what do you like best about TAT? The characters? The action? The comedy? Or maybe something else?

A lot of the lurkers are bots that will only post spam.

I mainly lurk...
I personally loved the show a lot when it was on. I watched it in re-runs, too. It represents a piece of my younger days.
I don't post that much - mainly lurk - because I don't feel up to speed on the show. I can't contribute as much as I would like...

Never too late to take a walk down Nostalgia Lane, Jo. ;D Besides, TAT reruns are a lot better than 99 percent of first-run shows now, no?

My question: Why the heck dn't you sign up?
I've never understood unregistered lurkers, lurking around. If they are not fans, why lurk? If they are, why not sign up and talk to like-minded fans and join in on the fun?

Josie has been signed up for quite some time. She made the banner for us. She just doesn't post that often. ;D As for other lurkers, we get some from time to time.

I'm going to try and start semi-actively recruiting on some of the other TAT-related places (deviantart, the IMDB boards) because we could use some more regulars. I thought some more would join us after I passed out cards at Dragoncon. ;D

And isn't it funny that the only ones posting on this thread, which I created for the lurkers, are us registered folks? I have been told I'm intimidating. Maybe I'm scaring the people away.

I have been told I'm intimidating. Maybe I'm scaring the people away. That's an interesting point, Amy... I have yet to meet an avid female TAT fan who isn't a very strong woman. Isn't that interesting? In fact, when I met Amy, I felt a certain Amazon-type kinship with her. And I've never met a female TAT fan who's like one of Face's girls on the show. ;D Maybe a Dr. Kelly, or an Amy Allen.

I think the type of women that Face usually goes after on the show would be more likely to enjoy shows like DYNASTY or maybe something like DESPARATE HOUSEWIVES or SEX IN THE CITY. Well, maybe I don't know because I have never actually seen a full episode of any of those shows unless I saw DYNASTY way back when. I have seen one scene of DESPARATE HOUSEWIVES because my niece was an extra in it. But I haven't even seen the whole episode, just the scene she was in!

I think Face himself would probably watch DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES.
Hah...here's an interesting question. If the guys were transported to the here and now, which show do you think they'd never miss? My guesses:
Hannibal: BURN NOTICE
Face: DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES or AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL ;D
Murdock: CHOWDER (in-joke there, but he would like it)
B.A.: MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL or DOG THE BOUNTY HUNTER

Ok, well, if none of the other lurkers will, let me post some more here. Some people lurk because they are trying to get up to speed on the discussions. Or some lurk because they are still trying to decide if this is the right type of forum for them. Some wonder if they will get along with the other members. Some people are just interested in reading and not posting, but then sigh up because there are often special forum spaces available just to members; they want to know if that's the case. To be honest, it can be really intimidating to make those first posts on a forum for two main reasons - 1) if you are just a general fan, you may feel stupid, and 2) if it is an active forum, you may not feel like you are going to fit in. Even if you feel like you are a big fan - like at work or school compared to everyone else - when you can come to a fan related site you may feel that you aren'te even CLOSE! I mean, I consider myself a fan, but when I read some of the stuff that is being discussed by the regulars, I feel like I wouldn't even know where to start. I see a lot of the discussions in the episode viewing sections, and I think that I am just out of my league. I don't remember 90% of the stuff, and making time to watch the episodes again is difficult. But then you feel stupid for saying that, since people will either say "well, watch them..." or "why are you here then?" Which of course means that its just easier to lurk. Back to that second point, of whether you will fit in, that's really hard. It's often like when you move to a new town, and it's your first day of school. Everyone has their friends, has a rhythm... where do you fit in? HD knows me fairly well, and he knows I'm anything but a shy wallflower. But I am sort of a lurker here. I have posted a little lately, but that's after almost a year of just lurking occassionally. And after about 20 posts here, I don't feel like I belong. Don't mean to insult or offend, but that's normal. I'm still an outsider, know what I mean? Sure, it's a friendly space, and I even know HD well, but it's a new board for me, and new boards are ALWAYS intimidating. So most new people are going to be hesitant to jump into new boards. Certainly this group seems really open and friendly, and I have been happy to meet you all, but it takes a while to get into it. And if you aren't really an uber-fan, many people feel that it may not be worth the effort. For example, even just the format of the major discussions... it seems like I am 5 seasons behind, which means I'm not able to just jump in. It's like being so late for the party, so why get out of the car at all? I hope I didn't offend anyone. I'm just answering Amyk's really good question. I can understand wanting to boost membership, so I thought that maybe a (semi-)outsider's perspective could help! ;D Carry on!
