I don't remember ever catching that before about the Mr. T stunt double playing one of the hijackers! And I also didn't know that about the Dwight Schultz stunt double being in this episode. Thanks for pointing those things out!

Fun fact: the terrorist leader Jackson is played by Andrew 'Andy' Robinson, most famous for playing the Scorpio killer in Dirty Harry. He even has the same evil plan in demanding money from the authorities for people's lives. Yes, that's Andy Robinson. He also appears in the S2 episode THE WHITE BALLOT (as a different character of course). Andy is an acting teacher at USC now. A couple of other fun facts: Two of the hijackers are played by regular stunt doubles for a couple of the guys! The hijacker "Marty" is played by Tony Brubaker, who was the stunt double for Mr. T. (Tony also plays the fake B.A. Baracus in the S3 episode SHOWDOWN!) The hijacker "Price" is played by Steve "Chooch" Chambers, who was the stunt double for Dwight Schultz. He did? I thought there was only one black hijacker. If so, that was Jesse D. Goins from THE GREATEST AMERICAN HERO fame. Did I miss the other black hijacker? My kids did not find this one as interesting. They were mainly wondering about Murdock being blinded. I always wonder why the team just didn't take the other parachutes. We know there were six. And I watched this time. None of them blew out of the door with Jackson. I don't know what Amy was wearing, but I love her saving the team here. It's fun to watch the cop while they talk Hannibal down. He inches towards her at one moment, but she swivels the gun to cover her. I love how the team pays taxes. But I also love how they pay Amy.

Wasn't Amy wearing a jumpsuit? I had one of those back in the day. It was bright pink and was either pleather or something. It was shiny.

Mine was green and just made of some kind of cloth material. Not shiny!

I was delighted to have reached this ep in my complete rewatch yesterday. It's one I've seen a handful of times over the years and I never get bored of it, it's just so good! There's so much to love, most of which you've covered in this thread already. The way the guys work together - the characters and the actors - is so perfect.
I love BA in this, even when he's catatonic! He gets some great lines and he shows he really cares about Murdock. And I feel sorry for him, he's never going to get over his fear of flying is he!
I love Face in this one too (in a suit! As someone mentioned before... wow! ) - the bathroom line, the singing with Hannibal (in fact, everything he does with Hannibal), the way he suggests he'll take a parachute a "go for help" and the way he hits BA repeatedly over the head to get him off Hannibal in the cockpit (what is that he used, a tea tray?) All brilliantly executed.
I love Hannibal staying cool, calm and collected when they're in real trouble. He doesn't make any claim to be able to fly at all, he simply trusts Murdock completely to be able to get them down safely. I love how he continues to provoke the hijackers, even when they have him in handcuffs.
I love Murdock, of course. He stays calm on the outside because he knows the team are relying on him, but you can see he's scared because he's sweating the whole time. He's great with BA earlier in the ep too, of course. He's just great all round!
Now Amy - I actually feel sorry for her in this one. She's left on the ground right from the start, completely away from all the action, for the first time I think since she joined up with the team and she seems a bit lost. Now, I know she saves the day by overpowering the half asleep security guard which is great of course as she's not known for waving guns around, but I find it all a bit confusing. I've actually enjoyed Amy through the whole of the first season so far, but even though she was quite heroic in this one it seems odd to have left her behind in the first place. She was even introduced as a member of the team by Hannibal and is clearly shown getting an equal share of the proceeds. I wonder if this was the start of Melinda's concerns about the development of the role? And she was made to wear that awful shiny pink jumpsuit!
(Having said all that, if she had been on the aeroplane it would have completely messed up the dynamic and the ep wouldn't have been as brilliant as it is. )

I thought the line Face says about taking a parachute and going for help is in HOLIDAY IN THE HILLS? I don't remember him saying that in BEAST.

Maybe I should take a break...? No way!

Watched this one tonight. Love it so much....but do have some questions....where did they get the $5 million since Mr. Beller had to approve it and was not reachable? Did that first airplane worker guy just faint or did they knock him out? It didn't even look like they punched him but he just sort of seemed to collapse into that other guy's arms. This was the first scene in the hangar. Still also wonder how they got the cabin re-pressurized?
Unanswered questions but in the end I don't really care if the episode makes sense. It is just a delightful classic A-TEAM episode!
