That's why they did it then. They felt since we were little, we wouldn't be quite the threat. He would never do it now-a-days. Although, with Googlemaps, you can find his current house online. I remember someone sending me a link a few years ago to see it. I did look at the link, but I couldn't find it again if my life depended on it.

Do you think that Dwight's dad answered the fan mail?

Here is issue #3 of the fan club newsletter. There is no exact date on the newsletter, but it should be from Spring 1985. In this issue -- Find out what a day on the set with The A-Team is like! Read an exclusive interview with Dirk Benedict! And of course more fan letters! NOTE: There were a couple of pages in this issue that listed the names and addresses of fan club members to be "A-Team Pen Pals." As those pages did not have any other content, I did not scan those pages.

The "Day in the Life of The A-Team" is very generic, and not nearly as good a read as the famous "Six Days With The A-Team" article from TV Guide (March 1984).
The photo from the "Day in the Life" in this issue is from TROUBLE ON WHEELS, but I suspect that photo may have been used because it looks like the Team is walking back on set from their trailers LOL!

LOL-it's still fun to read though, as is the interview with Dirk. Makes me wonder why I never joined as a kid.

I love how they explain about the guns always using blanks. HA HA! Glad they explained that! I thought Dirk's diet was "macrobiotic" (not "microbiotic")? Am I wrong? Dirk said they were all good friends off-camera?? Did he lie? Or was this before things soured between GP and T? But I wonder if that is why seasons 1-3 were great and things sort of went downhill in the last two seasons....if GP and T had not had their rift or whatever they had, do you think the show may have maintained greater momentum? Or was it just a matter of timing anyway?
Love the A-Team Honor Roll! Never knew about that!
Is that a Face scam to get money from people by getting A-TEAM fan club members to recruit more members, with the potential reward of a cast/crew A-TEAM jacket?! HAHA! I wonder what the jackets looked like.
Wish we could get some of these people who are mentioned in the newsletter to come on this forum and share about their experiences, especially that girl who got to go meet the team! And even the one who made the maze.

Dirk said they were all good friends off-camera?? Did he lie? Or was this before things soured between GP and T? But I wonder if that is why seasons 1-3 were great and things sort of went downhill in the last two seasons.... I think it started becoming a problem near the start of Season 4. Mr. T famously left the cruise ship set during production of JUDGMENT DAY, though I believe that had to do with a conflict Mr. T had with some crew members, but there was a conflict with George already. Mr. T threatened to quit the show if the crew members were NOT fired... and George threatened to quit the show if the crew members were fired! Things had really fallen apart by Season 5. Robert Vaughan was hired because he was friends with George and I think that was supposed to alleviate some of the on-set tension. Even so, Mr. T and George have noticeably reduced roles (or are split up) in the last six episodes: FAMILY REUNION (basically the "Face and Murdock show") POINT OF NO RETURN (Hannibal is missing for most of the episode, while B.A. is rarely seen, or a double is used and shot from behind; Stockwell accompanies the Team on their mission) CRYSTAL SKULL (a Face, Murdock, and Frankie adventure) SPY WHO MUGGED ME (mostly Murdock with Face in a supporting role) WITHOUT RESERVATIONS (another Face, Murdock, and Frankie adventure) THE GREY TEAM (B.A. spends most of the episode with Frankie, while Hannibal stays with Face) Anyway I suppose this is a subject for another thread.

Hey everyone... Took a while to get this posted, but here is the fourth and final newsletter of TAT Fan Club. This issue, from October 1985, offers a behind-the scenes look at the season 4 premiere JUDGMENT DAY, and includes an article detailing George Peppard getting his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!

The newsletters are mine from when I was a fan club member back in 1984-85. Some of the other fan club items are things I no longer have (like the poster) so I found photos online.
