Definitely a 10 and currently ranking #4 on my personal rankings of all the episodes. It just really flows quite well, with a good mix of action and humor. I love the flying somersault during the fight scene (above Murdock). I love Crazy Tommy T. I love the relationship of Uncle Mickey and his daughter. I love the way that Face interacts with Tommy T and his escape. I love the VA breakout scene. Perhaps the moment I love the most is when Face says, “It’s getting almost predictable by now, isn’t it?” (or whatever he exactly says right there before he and Murdock join in the fight).
I tried to really look closely at the stuff that Face had in his wallet. I think the Drivers License was for Stephen (or maybe Steven) Bears. Is that someone who worked on the show? One card had the name of Rob Bowman, who I believe directed one or more episodes.

There will be no surprise when I say that this is my number one episode. I love everything in it: the VA escape, the way Face and Murdock fight together, the way Face still manages to flirt with the girl while beeing threatened by Crazy Tommy T "oh no why him of all people", I love the phone conversation between Face and Hannibal, I love how seriously Murdock takes his role as a window washer and how it annoys BA...
Oh and the Cylon! I love it when they do that kind of things on tv!

LOL that Cylon is classic!
There used to be a whole "Battlestar Galactica" experience at Universal Studios. The studio tram tour went through it, and you can see various videos of it on YouTube. There's a "Simpsons" ride where it used to be. That burning house that The A-Team's tram drives by is now a "Jurassic Park" ride, and that "Avalanche" tunnel is now a "Fast & Furious" 3D experience.
Lots of fun references in this one:
-The nurse at the VA is the same one from A SMALL AND DEADLY WAR
-Crazy Tommy T's henchman "Jilly" is played by Luke Andreas, who appeared in THE RABBIT WHO ATE LAS VEGAS... also as a henchman named Jilly!
-The name "Crazy Tommy T" was mentioned in THE RABBIT WHO ATE LAS VEGAS as a mobster who had been bumped off. (Frank Lupo wrote both episodes which would explain the connections.)
-Face tells Tommy T. that his real name is J. Pierrepont Finch. That's the name of the protagonist from the musical "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying."
-Rob Bowman (the name on one of Face's business cards) was one of TAT's associate producers (good eye amyk!)
-One of Face's business cards has the name "Arturo Wainright, tractor salesman." In LABOR PAINS Face posed as Arturo Wainright of the Greater Valley Farm Truck Maintenance Bureau in order to scam a tractor. I guess now he's using that alias to try to sell that tractor LOL!

I didn't know before that J. Pierrepont Finch is a name of a character outside of the A-TEAM world! Do you know if there is a Stephen (or Steven) Bears who worked on the show? I think that was the Driver's License that Face had in that wallet.

There's something about this episode. It's not my #1 episode, though it's near the top, but it is the best crafted episode. Credit to our discussion about "best introduction" episode for this.
Also I love the new wave/mid 80s pop music side of Murdock.

STEEL is one of my all-time favourites. It really is a 10 on the sidney scale. It's amazing. That fight in the dust at the beginning may be the best fight sequence in the whole series. It is my muse, really... When I write, I almost always put Face in a three piece suit because he just looks so good... And how each of them behaves, it's like my 'canon' for how fights should be. Hannibal causing trouble; BA protecting Hannibal and taking on several guys at once with barely any effort; Murdock goofy and enthusiastic; Face wanting to protect his suit but ultimately joining in; protecting one another...

That could be. I didn't know if they would use anyone's real drivers' license. I wouldn't want them using mine due to concerns about security and identity theft, but maybe they didn't worry that much about those things back then. I can't really remember. I was in high school and I doubt that I worried about it.

Watched this last night. My oldest loved B.A.'s shiny hard hat and kept noticing when it fell off during the episode. My middle son loves Murdock and thought it funny that he was turning into a dog. Great sequences all around. It's almost easy to forget that Amy isn't a part of this one at all and she's not in the opening credits. While unbelievable, great job on the breakout by Face and Murdock. I think Crazy Tommy T gets mentioned in a future episode too. Three references to the same guy. A great episode and Lupo proves again that he was fantastic at writing the guys.

My wife noted the creepy guy taking the pictures too. She wondered what he was doing. I agreed. It's one thing to take a few and try to get her name and address. But to just keep following her around and taking them....creepy.

Kind of wonder why they even had that guy in there. It would have made more sense if he worked for Crazy Tommy T and was trying to get something on the clients.
