Here is another awesome season 2 episode - I love this one. Not as much as last week's Maltese Cow but it is still way up there.
I love Judy even though I think she overacts a bit but she is still adorable. I would have rather she somehow joined the team then Tanya in the next episode.
Of course love the sweet scene between Fave and Robbie's mom in the kitchen and Face agreeing to take the case for free.
Love Murdock playing normal - and how that bugs BA even more.
Love Face's this is going to hurt me more then you before he punches Murdock
I love love love Murdock playing the delirious crash victim and I love Face and Murdock together during that entire scam. My kingdom for my plane!
I love the whole hyponosis bit - and when BA falls asleep during the gun fight and both Face and Murdock say "JUDY". I love that
ok - your turn.......

I love this episode. So many great moments that I don’t know where to start….Face’s softening up towards the client when she acts so motherly towards him and offering to do the case for free….Murdock as Dick Nash…..Murdock handing the mustache back to Face as they are about to start running (I love that, as it is just one of those extra little touches which are why you have to actually sit and watch the episode, not just have it playing in the background, or else you miss out on so much)….BA’s “eclipse” events….oh, and I also love it so much when Face says “I think I’d like to be hypnotized for this” (or whatever he exactly says) when Hannibal tells him they have to get Murdock to crash the plane.
This one gets a definite 10 from me.

I kind of even like Judy's overacting. I am one of the few fans that seems to like Tawnia, but I would not have minded a bit if Judy had joined the team instead of Tawnia. But I would not have wanted her every episode to be hypnotizing BA....so only if she had to agree to no longer hypnotize BA, then I would have liked her with the team. I think the hypnotizing thing is funny in this episode, but it would get old if they always used it. And I do enjoy how they trick BA into eating or drinking the drugs a lot or how they just hit him over the head with a 2 x 4!

Oh yeah, I love how they say that in unison, too....and especially because Hannibal had already said that they didn't want BA to go to sleep during the midst of a firefight!
Also love how Hannibal is so on the jazz in this episode....he really loves taxi-ing that airplane.
The only thing I never quite understand is all the logistics about the border and the Venezuelan Federales....also wasn't the team having the firefight with the Federales? So then how did they just get to all come and join Hannibal when Hannibal and the bad guys were also confronted by the Federales? Did they convince those Federales back at the plane that they were not who they should be shooting at?

Agree with ladyjay and amyk, this is a cracking episode, some really lovely moments.
In addition to what you guys have already mentioned, I really liked:
- the Dick Nash scene where Murdock's cover is blown, so he runs off and then the rest of the team come running to fight, and BA takes on one guy and Face takes on the other - and as Face fights, Murdock and Hannibal just watch him, smiling. And then once Face delivers the knock-out blow, he looks over and does a double take and sees Hannibal smiling at him in a proud kind of way, and Face smiles to himself. Love that moment. Will try and screencap it.
- The fact that Face is holding a box of cookies at the end - I'm guessing the old lady made them for him. It was just a really nice, heart-warming nod to that great kitchen scene.
- Hannibal's duck noise was soooo funny, and BA's reaction to it was really funny too, especially his disdain for getting mistaken for some ducks.
- Murdock genuinely looked like he was going to cry when he was in the cockpit pretending to be normal, and Hannibal saying to him how much he missed Murdock's songs and soliloquies. They both looked like they were going to cry! Hannibal's voice broke and everything. Sometimes I don't understand those two when they're together.
Stuff I noticed:
- In the aforementioned kitchen scene, it did sound like that old lady dropped stuff quite a lot!, from her comment about Robbie always running in asking if she'd hurt herself. Maybe she was always a bit clumsy, or maybe she had something like arthritis going on.
- The bit where Face and Murdock are running to the plane towards the end, and they vault over the boxes - the first time we see them, Face drops down neatly next to Murdock and they both take cover. But then when we see them again, Murdock and Face are having a scuffle, like Face is trying to get up and Murdock's stopping him, and they're shouting at each other but I couldn't tell what they were saying. Just wondered what was going on with that!
- In the last scene, it kind of looks like Murdock steals a cookie from Face's hand. Face is nibbling at it, and then we see this arm stretch over and then Face is missing a cookie, and he sort of shakes his head and then starts eating another one. (Or it could just be that Murdock lent over and took a cookie out the box... it just doesn't seem like Murdock reached down enough though to do that, plus Face's reaction makes me think he just nicked Face's instead!).
Stuff I think I might write a story about:
Well, I guess a ton of people have probably written fics about it already, but I really liked how Hannibal called Face on waiving the fee for the client on account of the whole kitchen orphan scene... I didn't like how Face dodged his question though. So I'd like to have them revisit that, maybe as they're heading back home, Hannibal could bring it up again.

So here's the bit where Face knocks the guy out, and Hannibal is watching him, and Face sees Hannibal watching him and smiles.

And this is the part where Murdock may or may not have nicked Face's cookie.

I've noticed Face eating the cookies (and yes, I think we are supposed to believe that the client lady baked those for him because he didn't have a mother sending him cookies when he was in the army). But I can't remember ever noticing anything about Murdock possibly stealing one! Something new to watch for the next time around...

I will have to look for the cookie bit too. I can't believe I didn't watch this yesterday, especially with the eclipse.

Oh my gosh yes the eclipse!!! I totally didn't make the connection either... although it didn't happen here, so I have an excuse Ooh, I've been watching A-Team episodes randomly and out of order recently - maybe cause I had read all about the eclipse in the news, my brain subconsciously picked this one for me to watch! This episode would be so much fun to watch in preparation for an eclipse. If you watched it with a bunch of people beforehand, then every time you heard someone say "eclipse" or on the news or whatnot, you could all pretend to fall asleep! Or all yell "Judy!"

That's awesome. I think the next eclipse is in 2024, so we have time to prepare for that. The whole forum could make a day out of it at work.

I like when Hannibal is going to taxi the plane & BA says to Hannibal, it's bad enough when Murdock's flying, but at least he knows what he's doing! And "I never thought I'd wish Murdock was here". I love it when BA is nice to or about Murdock. Never noticed the whole cookie thing, will have to watch out of that next time. Do you think maybe it wasn't in the script? Maybe it was one Dwight messing with Dirk, like they used to play around with each other in scenes sometimes. Wouldn't surprise me! 😀

If Dwight was trying to steal a cookie, I could believe that he did that by himself, like I think maybe they do with the whole stealing the hats thing.
I also like those lines of BA about Murdock. I think BA tends to be nice about Murdock when Murdock isn't around. I think he has given Murdock a hard time for so long that he is probably embarrassed for his true feelings about Murdock to show when Murdock is around.

Yeah I agree, he shows he really does like him as a friend in Curtain Call & he looks after Murdock, als when he wants his van back & mentions Murdock wants his plant aswell. I wouldn't put it past Dwight to pinch his cookie off his own back, on the spur of the moment, sometimes you see one of them laughing & you just know the other one is somewhere trying to make him laugh.

Amyk- agree with you about BA, it's like he has to keep up the act in giving Murdock a hard time cause he's done it for so long, and maybe he doesn't know how to act any other way. Another thing I think is interesting about BA is in BLACK DAY AT BAD ROCK when Hannibal tells Face that BA loves him. I'm pretty sure BA loves Murdock too - he loves all of them. But interesting that Face doesn't realise it. (I think Murdock is pretty secure in the knowledge that BA loves him though!). So yeah, BA being embarrassed to show his true feelings about the team does fit. There should be a thread for "Evidence that BA really does like Murdock", with the things you suggested Kellie. I got another one - BA lends Murdock his beloved van in HOT STYLES.
