I think you kind of summed it up in a way similar to my thoughts about this episode, except I do think Tawnia is kind of funny in it and I still love the line Hannibal says to her about the all-stars and how everyone gets to play.

Rewatched this one today and it's OK, probably better than the prevous episode, but not a classic. I thought it was weird that Tawnia was back to being annoying and Hannibal didn't want her to come along after she was so useful in PURE-DEE POISON. It seemed like she had been accepted as part of the team in that ep, but now she was being pushed away. I'm surprised Hannibal wasn't more angry with her after he found her hiding in the bus - she could have got them all into real trouble! Like you've already said in this thread, the plot of this one was a little confusing and I didn't understand why they were so desperate to protect the guy from being killed by his former gang. Face was great througout, they would never have got this mission done without him! It was interesting that the Reverend knew him from Vietnam - it would have been nice to find out more about that, because only Face knew him, not the rest of the team. Linking with the discussion we had recently on why Hannibal teases Face, this episode has that wonderful moment when Hannibal does the opposite and heaps praise on Face when he was doubting his abilities. I think Hannibal always knows exactly what to say at the right moment to get the best out of Face.

Watched this one tonight. The older two boys were interested, especially with the bad guy dune buggies. They were somewhat surprised by the bad girl pit boss. My youngest had no desire to watch and ran around in circles in the living room. This one moved slower than I remember, but it also seemed to jump into the action quicker than others. There wasn't a lot of time looking for bad guys or anything as they hit them right away and then almost hit them again after Face bugged the office. Then, a third time at the end of the episode. The thing that always annoys me about this episode is how dumb the Scorpions were. Had they just not attacked bus loads of tourists, they would have easily taken over the bus and killed Al. Face was good, although his pick up lines on the pit boss were cringe worthy to me. I'm a good fan of Face and his mannerisms, but I felt his charm was lacking here. He did a good pass out fall though. I love how B.A. said he was getting the chills just looking at Face...and then he shivered. Hannibal was great with the dice. Makes me wonder if he used to gamble some or play a good game of marbles as a kid. I like how he told Face the talent didn't stop at the hands either. Murdock's obsession was eh to me. I like the initial conversation, but it got old after that. At the beginning, why did Hannibal and B.A. call Face and Murdock in, just to leave? Seems silly. Also, Face said he wasn't getting any younger and then cut off Murdock. I am always curious what Murdock was going to say. Tawnia was funny in the episode, although dangerous. The "All Star" quote was hilarious too. My wife had a fit though that she watched the bus drive off after Hannibal told her to stay close. Overall, not my favorite episode, but I don't think it's near the bottom either. I think some of the actors were a little too forced, such as Al and the pit boss. But the new leader of the Scorpions is always great to watch. The tag scene was kind of boring too. I didn't find much fun about it at all like some of them. I couldn't read Murdock's shirt, but the kids were wondering if Murdock really drank too fast and that was why his stomach did that.

The baddies were particularly dumb in this one, weren't they! It did all seem a little contrived, just to give the team a chance to show up and get involved. I agree Face's chat up lines were not very classy, but I think he was deliberately playing to his audience. He seems to change his approach, depending on who he's trying to impress. And I agree with your wife, Derek, about Tawnia - I think she was particularly useless in this one!

I thought it was cute that Derek's youngest son was just running around in circles!

I thought it was cute that Derek's youngest son was just running around in circles! So did he. Every now and then he would "trip" and fall. Then after some comfort, up he went again.

Thanks. I think so. And when we watch the credits, each kid points to the screen and says "I'm him." Luckily they all like different characters, so there are no fights. But if they don't pay attention to anything else, they ALWAYS watch the opening credits.

Which character do each of them say that they are? (Not asking you to give their names, but maybe their ages and which character each age of boy wants to be?)

My oldest (8) is B.A. My middle (5) is Murdock. My youngest (4) is Hannibal. I get to be Face by default. Which is nice since I was called that by several members here back in the day when the forum book was made.

Cute that the youngest is Hannibal. Maybe his way of being on the jazz is running around in circles.

Also, I love how there is another Strikersville Prison. Not very creative on making up the names are they?

I think they are just too cheap to pay for new set dressing (the prison sign).
