I love the scam that Face pulls with Betty to get the scuba stuff.

Tried to watch this last night. It only took four hours. The two younger boys and the dog had no interest in it. My oldest wanted to see Decker catch the team and the escape so he kept yelling at his brothers to shut up. I don't know how people used to watch these live with kids. The hospital looks pretty expansive on the inside for a small building look on the outside. I like how we see Tracey Scoggins again...in a much better role for her. Although I was surprised we never see Face really hit on her. We see a future love interest for B.A. in this episode as well. My wife, who has seen this series before, was worried that the team was going to get beat up by Garber at the mechanic shop. She was relieved when they made it out. The clients and the story were okay, but I like the Decker part the most. I don't care for Therm, especially so close after Herman. "You gotta watch that guy, Decker." "You're a born clerk." Some great Hannibal lines to Decker. Not my favorite Murdock rescuing the team. It seemed very forced and out of place, especially rolling on the ground. I like Face's scam, but I feel bad because Betty didn't get promoted on national television. Although I wonder if Face did come back and take her on the date. I hate those loose ends at time. I do like Face and Murdock being mad that they have to be the divers, especially when B.A. and Hannibal are trained in it. I think it's funny that B.A. actually through Murdock in the water and that Murdock couldn't believe he did it. (My wife has no idea what he was doing at the end either. She wondered if it was ad lib). Not my favorite episode, but I do like Decker being in it as much as he was.

This is probably one of my "middle of the road" episodes....nothing that I really, really hate but also not one of those really stand-out episodes. I do like the Face scam with Betty. He has her wrapped around his little finger in that one. I think that Therm is just sort of an "okay" Murdock obsession but not one that I would consider his most memorable.
I do kind of like how Murdock has to eat the sandwich frozen due to "space monsters" or whatever it is that he would get from the microwave......just something kind of off the wall but seems like something Murdock may momentarily believe.
I also like how trusting the clients are even after the military came to their house looking for the team.
I think it would have been nice for us to see the son and daughter reunited with their dad at the end.

And the space hamsters in the bloodstream was a good one. I think I would have preferred that to Therm.

Oh yes, "space hamsters!" That's even better than "space monsters." Maybe Murdock could have believed he did get space hamsters in his bloodstream because he previously ate something that was microwaved, and maybe he could have been obsessing about that throughout the episode.....

Just watching this again straight after Labour Pains. Most episodes are self contained, but this feels as if its a direct continuation after Labour pains.
I know there are some novels that merge storys and these two seem to work well as a pair in the way one ends and the next episode starts

For an old fat guy Garber can fight pretty well. I liked him as the leader of the biker gang in the Clint Eastwood movies "EVERY WHICH WAY BUT LOOSE" and "ANY WHICH WAY YOU CAN."

I'm not sure if I ever thought about it before, but you're right about how LABOR PAINS ends with the MPs chasing the team and THERE'S ALWAYS A CATCH begins with the team on the run from the MPs.....somewhere in between the two episodes B.A. had to step on that nail, though....maybe a fanfiction could be written to connect the two episodes even more and explain exactly why B.A. stepped on that nail.

I rewatched this one today, right after LABOR PAINS and it does seem to sort of follow on, although I don't think it's meant to be a direct continuation. I was wondering if BA stepping on the nail had to be written in because Mr T had really hurt his foot? It seems a strange choice of plot just to get them to the hospital. He spent the rest of the ep hobbling around, although he was still able to be fully involved in the action including jumping on baddies so it couldn't have been that painful - either for BA himself, or in real life! I really like how this is another ep where they just decide to help some people in trouble, the same as in the previous ep.
I have strong memories of Murdock and Therm, although it's a bit of an odd obsession now I'm looking at it with fresh eyes. I also thought it was odd that Face didn't get to kiss 'the girl' this time - it was Tracey Scoggins, after all!
I love that we find out BA and Hannibal have diving experience from Vietnam - and I love how Face and Murdock complain so much about having to do the dive instead! Hannibal's line about having to stay dry to he can think of a plan is brilliant. Hannibal is really pushing his luck with Decker in these earlier episodes, it actually makes me feel uncomfortable for some reason. I know many fans like the interactions between the team and the MPs - Decker and Hannibal in particular - but personally I wish they wouldn't get so close to capturing the team (or actually capture them, like in this one). I prefer it when there's a little more distance between them!

Is Tracey Scoggins famous for something other than being in the A-TEAM twice? (That's all I know her from!) I don't really remember if Face was making a play for her much in this episode. I think he was too busy first flirting with the nurse at the hospital and then flirty with Betty for the scuba gear!

I know her from post-A Team roles - mainly Babylon 5 and Lois and Clark - but she's been in everything!
