I was watching CHOPPING SPREE, and BA was talking about how he had help when he was a youth and in trouble. I can't help but wonder about the trouble he was in. I think someone some other time said he was probably stealing cars, which would make sense - especially since he's a mechanical genius. Boosting and stripping cars would be in his wheelhouse. Going to the army and working on the autos would be a great way to put positive function to those skills.
But what happened to his father? What was the story he told... Was it in SKINS? About his dad?
When we meet his momma, I'm assuming his dad has passed away.
Is there anything else that ties his backstory together? Any other reference from the series, because right now my imagination is running wild and I've got a pretty tragic backstory for him cooking...

Somehow I don't really see B.A. stealing cars. I think he was a fighter, though. I think he grew up in a pretty rough neighborhood, so he probably had to fight just to stay alive or keep from being beaten up a lot.

He talks in PROS AND CONS about being the toughest kid around when he showed up. I agree that he was probably more of a fighter.

Mr T once told the story about how his mother was robbed and how he had to get revenge for his mother. He didn’t go into detail about it but I remember reading the interview something along the lines of ‘they left the neighbourhood’. I’ll post the interview if I can find it again.

I guess if he had a really bad temper he'd get into a lot of fights. And he is known for his bad temper... Or bad attitude, rather...

I haven't decided what I think happened to his dad. I feel like the mention of his dad in the show had something to do with his dad going to jail or something, was it? And B.A. got in a fight related to that? So, I dunno. Is his dad dead? In prison? His mom left him? Where did B.A. grow up? We know he was born in Atlanta... when and how did they end up in Chicago?

I don't think they ever said his dad went to jail. (Also, where did "disagreeumption" come from?!). In DIAMONDS N DUST, B.A. talked about some guys beating up his dad real bad.

Okay, really, the censorship on this board really, really needs to quit. What I said was, "that was always my @$$umption, too." WTF.

Is there different censorship based on where people are? I'm going to try it...

Didn't it autocorrect for you? It puts two asterisks in between the d and the e of his last name.
