Well, I decided to come out of hiding and join in with all the fun.
I like to believe that I am somewhat of a born-again A-Team fan. My older brother was the obsessive BA fan (he was rarely seen without a glass of milk nearby and he too developed a love of clunky gold) when were growing up and I was just concerned that all my barbie dolls kept going missing. I later found out that they became clients of my brother's A-team figures. Alas, some of my dolls never made it home so either the guys failed their mission (as if) or something more sinister was afoot.
Anyway. Years later, after watching the movie and loving it, I decided to check out the series, like you do. My love for the movie soon withered away and my love for the series was born. It even changed my perception of the characters. What was once an weird fixation with Murdock (Sharlto was too darn adorable in that hat, spinning on that blade...) soon changed to Face, whom I rather disliked in the movie. It must have been the teeth - so shiny and white!
So, here I am.
Lastly, no, I am not related to Bexsta. Bexii is my RL name XD

So sincerely pleased to meet you, Bexii! I have seen you online and silently been hoping you'd someday start posting. On Saturday, I will search for your posts when I return. (Sadly, I have sacrificed myself to save the forum.)
I'm somewhat in the same situation as you as Sidney is not a fancy forum name.
LOL

Welcome Bexii, although we may need to get Hannibal to do a background check to make sure you are who you say you are :-)

As long as she is willing to meet him outside of some sleazy place at 2 a.m., I think he'll trust her.
Welcome, bexii! I'm so excited to have another Face-fan because it seems like pretty much all the females on here are usually Murdockians. So now we can stick together and fawn all over Face as much as the others fawn all over Murdock.
I haven't seen the movie. I don't think I can deal with another Fake Face. It's enough for me to have to deal with it in MEXICAN SLAYRIDE.

Hello Bexii and welcome Your poor barbies lol but at least they got to meet the team, um sort of... before their untimely ends lol I agree with you about Face not feeling right in the movie, but on the other hand i may have a slight crush on Bradley Cooper so i can almost forgive him I also agree about his teeth, i get a bit weirded out when poeple have teeth that are too perfect looking lol Amy, best to give the movie a miss then lol Like i said, i like Bradley Cooper but hes no Face lol

I'm confused about the teeth issue, because I thought that DB's teeth are always shiny and white....and they even sort of make fun of that in the show, e.g. when Murdock says the smoke is so thick he can't even see Face's teeth.
So do you mean that Bradley Cooper's teeth are shinier and whiter than DB's?

Meeting folks outside a sleezy joint at 2.00am - piece of cake You guys are all so nice making me feel welcome While it is true that my dear barbie dolls got the meet the team, the fact that they never returned home always worried me. I certainly hope they didn't fully pay up front because clients disappearing under mysterious circumstances is not really a job well done lol. Maybe Decker kidnapped them for bait... Amy, I agree that we need to stick together in making sure that Face is well and truly loved. He may develop somewhat of a complex if he feels that Murdock is more fawned over than himself Also, I was actually referring to Dirk's teeth, not Bradley's. I didn't really take too much notice of Bradley's smile in the movie, whereas Dirk's smile in the series was just ... make you melt on the inside lol. Don't get me wrong, I like Bradley but he's far too rugged for me. I oddly enough prefer my men suited and booted (pretty boy looks are just an added treat) - so it's no wonder I was conned into being a Face fangirl

I'm baaa--aaaaack!
Oh, Bexii - I know what you mean about Bradley being a 'rugged' face! I was looking for the right word and you found it for me! *OUR* Face was smooth with perfect hair and looked great in a three-piece suit! He didn't have stubble and seemed a little dirty... And movie face seems like he needs a shower all the time...
Which was attractive too, don't get me wrong, movie Face was very attractive. But just not *right*. Very attractive. Especially with his shirt off. Gives me the purple wobblies...
Movie Face was too much the *star* of the whole thing too. He wasn't just the conman/ladies man. I hated the storyline where he came up with the final plan - it really neutered Hannibal. And he was a little crazy, and he was just too much. Each guy should have been equally the star. I like Bradley Cooper, but it was called 'The A-Team' not 'The Faceman and his A-Team'.
P.S. Bexii, will you join the episode discussion? Please?

I like movie face! I think Bradley did a good job. it was a little weird seeing Face an adrenaline addict though...but realistically I think you would almost have to be to be the special forces unit. I think they were trying to appeal to today's audiences, and for some reason everyone is obsessed with super macho guys right now, which kind of sucks because I like whiny sensitive guys. LOL. okay my dog is driving me nuts. I'm trying to dictate into my microphone and she's barking at the same time. The dictation program thinks that I'm telling orders so it's just going crazy over the place.

I do have to agree that movie Face is more realistic (Green Baret/Special Forces) than series Face but I always felt that the whole joy of the series was the fantasm, so that ever really mattered Sidney, seeing as though you asked so nicely about joining the discussion threat, I may I was wondering about how you all are working your way through it. Are you doing one episode a week? From looks of it, you are at the end of the 1st series and I don't really want to be bumping threats that aren't really active anymore - would be somewhat of an annoyance, I guess.

Trust me, bumping up any of the Season One threads wouldn't be annoying. amyk and I would love it! Yes, it's one a week.
And never worry about being annoying. I've got the market cornered for that and I haven't been kicked off the forum... Yet.
Speaking of Movie Face, I'm watching him on Wedding Crashers right now on regular tv.
