My understanding is that GP is the one who changed the scripts more than the others, so I suppose it's possible he changed something there. However, I still think that was written into the script. I think the writers on this episode did an excellent job.

I think the writers on this episode did an excellent job. With his apparent ego, I could see that. I agree that this looks like a writer choice, but we could be wrong. To me, I always thought Murdock was laughing because he realized the Colonel couldn't do anything. I think there has always been somewhat of a hero worship (wrong phrasing, but similar concept) of Murdock to Hannibal and this scene just highlighted the fact that Hannibal isn't perfect.

Yeah, it could've been cleverly written in or changed by GP, it's just the way Murdock laughs when he says, fasten seat belts, I've not noticed him laugh like that before, it's like a surprised laugh rather than one of his crazy laughs. Either way, for such a small part of this episode this bit always really makes me laugh. I have to rewind it sometimes to watch that bit twice! 😁. I'd so love to come over to the US for a convention or something they're attending. I'd love to ask them about that scene. I know they said they improvised a lot of the final scenes coz they was either unfinished or rubbish, so they did it themselves knowing they could do better! Funny how the people higher up didn't like them doing this, until they realised it was going down well with the viewers and then actualyl told them to keep doing it coz they was so popular! I think they should have given the 4 guys the run of the show themselves!

Hey everyone! I introduced my new husband to THE A-TEAM with this episode....no, he didn't sit and watch it with me, but by the end he was standing there in front of the TV, so there's some hope! So what one should I try to entice him with next?

Wow this is why I love this place so much, the interaction between GP and DS during the fasten seatbelt line I have always loved but I thought it was cause of the Laugh and smile Murdock did but now that this has been mentioned it makes a ton of sense cause for a split second DS did looked thrown.

The episode is horrendous, but the first few minutes gets the feel of the A-TEAM just right. Otherwise, PROS AND CONS might appeal to him.

Dwight did seem a bit taken aback by that didn't he?! I rewound that bit a couple of times! It does seem like GP took that upon himself and Dwight seemed a bit surprised and found it funny. It just seemed like a genuine laugh from Dwight, rather than a planned, scripted laugh. I love that little moment, even though it's just a small section. Bet they laughed when filming stopped after that scene! Dwight was known for doing things on the spur of the moment aswell quite a bit himself wasn't he?!😀

Oh, I love HOLIDAY IN THE HILLS, and not just up to the crash! But yes, maybe I should try PROS AND CONS next time. If you don't love Murdock after the whole trash bags scene, it's doubtful you ever will.

That's funny how he stood there in front of the TV! My husband does that sometimes. Like, they put up a protest about watching it, but somehow if they watch stuff standing up then it doesn't count - and they don't have to admit that they might be secretly enjoying it!
If your husband likes to do DIY, then maybe Timber??

I think I may just go back to the beginning, but skipping the pilot (because I don't want to confuse him with fake Face).

The whole fake Face thing really confused my dad! In other episodes now he'll spot someone & say, "that's him who took the first Face off"! It never is, obviously! Anyone that looks a bit like Tim Dunniagan he thinks is him! Drives me mad! He said it about the Daniel in RANGE RIDER when they're all hiding from Decker. He's nothing like him! Think he needs to see an optician! 🤣

I told my husband about Fake Face sometime in the last few days. But I'm not even sure he knows who the real Face is!
By the way, Dirk Benedict was in a JEOPARDY answer the other day....the question was "What is BATTLESTAR GALACTICA?"

Fun fact: the terrorist leader Jackson is played by Andrew 'Andy' Robinson, most famous for playing the Scorpio killer in Dirty Harry. He even has the same evil plan in demanding money from the authorities for people's lives.

Oh, man, now that this thread is revived, it's making me miss THE A-TEAM! I have not watched an episode in quite a long time, probably the longest ever since I sort of "rediscovered" my love for the show back in 2008!

He also appears in the S2 episode THE WHITE BALLOT (as a different character of course). Andy is an acting teacher at USC now. A couple of other fun facts: Two of the hijackers are played by regular stunt doubles for a couple of the guys! The hijacker "Marty" is played by Tony Brubaker, who was the stunt double for Mr. T. (Tony also plays the fake B.A. Baracus in the S3 episode SHOWDOWN!) The hijacker "Price" is played by Steve "Chooch" Chambers, who was the stunt double for Dwight Schultz.
