I am sure that there will be several of these threads (there are already quite a few), but I figure that until we get some definitives from the people in charge, we will have to post all of the rumors and discuss them. Here is the IMDB link for the upcoming A-Team movie. There is very little there except the date and a few odds and ends they could tell us without giving anything away about who was starring in it and what the plot was about. The good news is that it looks like SJC and Frank Lupo, the two creators of the original series, will be involved in the process, so maybe it won't be the next biggest TV movie adaptation to flop. One can only hope.

I wonder who they will get to play the guys? Hannibal=Tommy Lee Smith maybe? Face? Brad Pitt? George Clooney? BA would be the hardest to replace tho. You can't fake Mr. T.

Tommy Lee Smith? You mean Tommy Lee Jones don't you? I think the two hardest would be Murdock and Mr. T. You can find a Face and a Hannibal easily enough, especially if they have good chemistry. The other two are the hardest in my opinion.

What about Owen Wilson for Murdock?

I think Owen Wilson would be too comedic and not dramatic enough. Schultz played the role as though actually crazy and I don't think Wilson could. Plus, I would want an actor I like playing him.

If Owen Wilson's nose wasn't so specific, he would play Faceman His presence is right and he isn't really serious like Face. Murdock = Jim Carrey? But he may be too old...

I have heard Jim Carrey rumored as well. And Owen Wilson would just ruin the A-TEAM...like he did STARSKY AND HUTCH.

I dunno, I like all the old cast members. They better do a bang up job on the movie to convince me to like it.

I agree. I doubt they will though. It has been in the hopper for too long...it might never be made.

No matter who would play in this movie, I doubt I will like it. I think the most ridiculous suggestion I heard of was the one that Morgan Freeman should play B.A. ;D By the way, have you seen this picture? img401.imageshack.us/img401/3236/43074443up6.jpgIt makes me sick to look at it... Don't they just know that no one will be as good as the actors who played in the original? Why do they have to refer to this serial instead of thinking up something new? (in fact I know why...)

No one will be as good, that is true. Some might do a great homage to the characters, but it would probably not be as good. Besides, they are modernizing the show and making it less campy, which would really suck too.

I'm about 100% sure that I would hate any A Team movie. I wish they would just leave it alone. As far as I'm concerned, there is one and only one A Team. I had no interest in the Get Smart movie because I figured they would ruin that one. However, I admit that my curiousity would possibly get the best of me if they do make an A Team movie. Depends on its rating. I don't want a bunch of gratuitous sex scenes and really gratuitous violence. One thing I love is that the A Team manages to catch the bad guys without anyone (usually) getting seriously hurt!

I would watch it...and probably hate it. I have not seen GET SMART yet, but I am of the same opinion there.

Trust Hollywood to ride a good horse into the ground. The only exception to TV shows-as-movies being crap I've ever seen is THE FUGITIVE, which is excellent. I'm not looking forward at all to the prospect of Woody Harrelson, or Jim Carrey, or anyone else ruining Murdock. It's like HIGHLANDER...there can be only one! (Though I wouldn't be opposed to seeing Face get some gratuitous sex scenes. He's kinda overdue. )

I thought the episode BENEATH THE SURFACE did a good job of showing it without showing it.
