Whoo thanks for these Tania! I wish I could've gone to the Lopez show but I couldn't get airline tickets at a good price. ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png)

Box office isn't doing too bad. Almost $50 million in US and $20 million in Foreign. Total Gross around $70 million. It's not out for around a month in some countries so it'll probably make it's budget back. www.the-numbers.com/movies/2010/ATEAM.php

I consider the movie to be very successful from a fan's point of view. IMDB have an average rating of 7.6 with 7682 votes. You can't argue with that :-)

A 50% drop in its second week isn't overly good. It will definitely make its budget back thanks to the European audiences though.

Yeah, it'll probably clear about 25mil in the Netherlands alone! ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) I wonder if they'll make a sequel. Neeson has pretty much said he isn't interested in doing one, but I'm pretty sure they would have written a sequel clause in the contracts. So, who knows. ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) As long as they don't try and revive the series (a la KNIGHT RIDER or THE BIONIC WOMAN), I'm good. Isn't it a relief to know TOS is still waiting for us whenever we want it? ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Oh, let's not call it TOS now, kay? ;D That will always be Star Trek The Original Series for me.
They will probably only make a sequel if the movie makes a lot of money back, which don't seem likely at the moment.

We've still got a while until it plays in some countries. It'll probably break even though and gain some profit. But unless it makes a profit of at $100 million I think a sequel is unlikely (which is unfortunate cause they really did a good job here).

I'm guessing the movie will make a little over breaking even. TOY STORY 3 took that much in for the opening weekend. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

At the premiere of TAT in Hollywood Liam Neeson was asked about a sequel and he said if the others were on board he would do it for sure, so I am hoping he would remain open to the idea.

One thing that aggravates me (although I read it on another forum) is that something I "feared" has happened.....someone wrote that now we have a plausible reason why B.A. is afraid of flying. Maybe she was only referring to the B.A. of the movie, but it seemed maybe as if she was implying that the movie B.A.'s experience is the same as what Mr. T's B.A. would have had. This was one thing I did not want to happen and why I wish they had just changed all the characters, so that people would not assume the way the characters met in the movie is the same way that the characters of the series actually met!

it would have been hard to make an A-Team movie with changing the characters though.
With the exception of Liam Neeson I think the other three did a pretty convincing job of capturing some of the magic from the series yet adding something more modern to the character.

it would have been hard to make an A-Team movie with changing the characters though. ...and that's exactly why I was always against the movie. Keeping the characters leads to the inevitable clash between old and new (no judgement here, anyone who likes the new version may enjoy it), while changing them would have made it impossible to call it 'A-Team'. As I've said before - they should have left it alone altogether. ![:'(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cry.png)
