This is a solid episode for me - some fantastic dialogue -from Hannibal, Face and BA in the jeep to Hannibal, Face and Murdock in the plane - its outstanding. Such great chemistry between them love Hannibal and Face singing love that it looks like Face was not going to tell Hannibal he did not scam the plane and Murdock didn't want Face taking the blame for him love that Murdock came up with the plan to build the ultra-light love him talking to himself in a British accent when he took the chopper love the end on the bus - Murdock is adorable upside down
I didn't love poor Louanne getting hit
and I honestly do not understand the bad guys here. I get they were upset because the county was going to put a road through their land - but that means they have to beat a guy up and burn him at the stake ?!?! That is super extreme
your turn .......

Fun episode. I recently watched this one because I asked about a scene that was used in one of the videos by @lilla Weneda I love that Murdock gets REALLY cranky from crashing the air plane. He seems to be grumping around a bit, and even risking a black eye while hanging in B'A.'s clutches (who is also on a short fuse after being crashed and lied to). ("WILL YOU LET GO OF MY ARM BEFORE I GET GANGRENE?!!"). B.A seemed taken aback for a sec. Murdock's spirits seem to lift when they work on that ultra-light and the moment he is back up in the air again. Fun detail is Billy on his ultra-light drawing. And the detail 'horsey power'. Great dialogue once again. And I felt sorry for B.A. when he said that he didn't like being lied to all the time. It's only fair that he's feeling hurt, since they are supposed to be a team and it must hurt when you always get drugged and taken to places you don't actually agree to. (not that they listen..). Good point regarding the bad guys @ladyjay . They really seem to go a bit far with the old man. Loved the part where Face starts complaining about the stuff that he needs to arrange for the ultra-light: M: "Think of it as a challenge. How did you get that '53 Cadillac convertable in the jungles of 'Nam?" *quiet moment, realising something...* "How 'DID' you get that '53 Cadillac convertable in the jungles of 'Nam? F: "Professional secret" Had a chuckle at the bluff-part in the end, where the baddies were put into the plane because the team is out of ammunition. Jazz on! Rating scale, I think I'll give it a 9 too.

Watching this one now....I do love how Face and Hannibal trick BA about the mosquitoes. And I may write this every time....but I'm still always so impressed with GP's ability to carry Mr T and I truly believe that he is doing that himself and that it really is Mr T there! I feel like Hannibal may have been a bit rough on Face about the bridge not being dynamited. But had Face been sort of goofing around too much on that mission? Not only was the bridge not dynamited, but he also left the scamming of the plane up to Murdock.
Hannibal's hair looks wetter after the initial gunfight with the hillbilly guys than after he was supposedly in the water, doesn't it?
I give this one a 10 on the Sidney scale.

I also love it how Hannibal just says "BA, you're onto something" (or whatever he says) as though he's agreeing with BA's complaints and yet he just basically ignores them!
Also, later, Hannibal really knows how to defuse the situation between Murdock and BA (right after Murdock has called BA a "mudsucker"). Hannibal immediately tells BA to cover the guy they rescued, and I think this is really good leadership on Hannibal's part, getting BA's attention away from Murdock.
Hannibal also once again proves how great a shot he really is, as he shoots exactly between the feet of one of the bad guys when he wants to get them to chase after him.
Why does the military guy get mad at Mitch saying, "Great, now we've lost our bird dog" when he's the one who barged on in there and talked with Mitch right in the hallway? It's his own fault if they lost their bird dog!

Fun detail is Billy on his ultra-light drawing. I noticed Murdock had drawn a dog, but I totally didn't make the connection that it was Billy until I read this comment. LOVE THIS FORUM So this is a great episode. For all the reasons you guys already mentioned. The only thing I have to add is this line from Hannibal to Face when he is chewing him out for not dynamiting the bridge: "Now look kid, I like a little shoot em up now and then, it keeps the adrenaline going. But it was not part of my plan to be chased by the Guatemalan army to the airport." I love that insight into Hannibal. He's not mad because they got shot at by the army, he's mad because it wasn't part of his plan. It really shows his leadership style - he gives the guys freedom to do what they do best without micro-managing them, but at the same time he has high standards and expects them to the deliver the goods. (And it does sound like Face was being quite sloppy on this mission - he didn't dynamite the bridge (presumably like Hannibal asked him to), and he gets Murdock to scam the plane instead of doing it himself. Wonder what was going on with him?).

He had to con the passport people.
Great insight into Hannibal....I love that, how he is not mad about being chased by the army but more so because it wasn't part of his plan! If he had only put that into his plan, he would totally have been on the jazz about it.

Most of you know that this episode is NOT one of my favorite. The plot holes are gigantic, even for THIS show, and it just seems cobbled together.
That being said, I do love the start of the episode to the crash landing. That was a vintage A-TEAM scene and one of my favorites of the series. It was well-executed among all of the leads and they all got to show some acting/comedy chops.

Yes. I think he is great in the beginning telling them to shut up because he hears a plane. Then thanking Hannibal before falling on the horn. And he's great when he wakes up and attacks Murdock too. Pretty much everything else just sucks.

Oh, I thought you were commenting on the acting when they were on the airplane....that's why I was wondering about BA, since he just had to pretend to be asleep!

It's got some giant plot holes but so much funny and it's a little different from the usual scenarios. I love this episode!

I love this one, too, even beyond the plane crash scene (although I agree that is one of the best scenes of the entire series). I don't mind plot holes if the episode is funny enough to make up for them.

Yeah, they do portray the hillbillies in a very stereotypical way, and yes, it is rather extreme. Maybe these are really some of the most evil of the bad guys in all of A-TEAM history. I don't even know that "Revd. James" from CHILDREN OF JAMESTOWN would do something quite so heinous....
