The fact that Hannibal and Kyle never directly face-off during the climax is dumb. I mean yeah they shoot at each other for what, two seconds? And Hannibal taunts him over the CB. Otherwise this is a great episode, one of the best overall.
Also lol the guy who hired Kyle was in Ghostbusters.

I love this episode but think it could have been even better if the people who hired Kyle and his gang had either been past bad guys we saw or maybe relatives or friends of past bad guys and had referenced real episodes that we saw. They did something like that on MONK for the 100th episode and had 3 of the characters (played by the actors who played them originally) who, thanks to Monk, ended up being in jail, talking about Monk. It would have been fun to see some of the bad guys gathered together talking about the team. Like they could be in prison together, but one of them has some way to still hire Kyle to try to take revenge on the team.

Although I agree that Hannibal not facing off against Kyle was dumb. I know Hannibal had already shown he was more badass through the episode, but one last fight to really sell things would have been great. After all, had Kyle beaten Hannibal, that can demoralize a team. It used to in all the westerns.

Rewatched this one today - three eps in one day! This is a fantastic episode. It's interesting to see the different distractions they use to capture each member of the team - Face's is obvious, using a girl and Murdock's is obvious to us, although I'm not sure how the baddies would know how much he loves animals? And poor BA, poisioning his favourite milk! I really love how Hannibal seems to be stronger than BA and able to last a bit longer before he succumbs - although BA probably drank more milk. It was great that he got Tawnia to call Dr Sullivan, I guess she's the only doctor he knows he can trust. It was good to see her again, although it was a shame we didn't see more of her. It was interesting that she was basically flirting with him here, but he doesn't seem to react to it (I know he's sick, but even so), not like he did in BAD DAY AT BAD ROCK when there was more of a spark between them. I love how Hannibal saves the rest of the team, it appears to be a very military style operation so I guess it's well rehearsed. We know they rehearse fights, so they must rehearse for situations like this. This is the ep where they talk about checking in every 30 minutes which does seem unrealistic and impractical, but as we've said in another thread they probably do have some kind of plan for keeping in contact so they know that each other is safe and to make sure something like this doesn't happen again.

I'm curious to know what others on the forum think.....would you all have liked there to be a scene after Hannibal recovers with just him and Dr. Sullivan, maybe more of a romantic scene?

I am not sure I would need a romantic scene, but I think a tag scene with the group would have been nice. I think it would have developed more naturally for Hannibal once his men were not in dire trouble.

But isn't there a tag scene with the group? I mean that part about the women taking the van and the guys are going to have to run (but of course Face tries to get a ride in the van)?

Yes, that's right. Tawnia and Maggie get into the van (not sure who's driving, I assume it's Tawnia) and Hannibal insists the guys run back, but Face tries to ride in the van and then BA pulls him out as they drive past. There no 'moment' between Maggie and Hannibal though.

Sounds like a great idea for a piece of fan fiction!

I wish Dr. Sullivan had appeared again. It would have been neat to have her appear in season 5.

Watched this last night. The older two were enthralled with the episode and asked tons of questions. The younger one still didn't care.
I love the idea of bad guys tracking down the team to get revenge. I like that they brought in mercenaries to do it. Except for the Jackie guy, I thought they all played their parts well. What I don't get is how they knew where the team was. My wife hated how they got Murdock. How did they know he would go east and that they could get the dog there or that Murdock would hear it? It seems like they either had FANTASTIC intelligence or everything worked out okay.
Did you notice the old guy said that the girl and Face picked up takeout? Where was it when they got out of the car? And Face talked about leaving and thanks for the ride as though they had not stopped. My wife noted that Face was dogging it anyway and wouldn't have made the 8 minute miles.
Speaking of the last guy getting extra running, does anyone notice how Face is either first or second all the way through the obstacle course until the zip line? My wife thinks that Face is the lightest of the group so that everyone else could use their weight to their advantage and come in ahead on that last bit. Hard to disagree with that since Face was doing so well the rest of the course.
The bad guys were smart about taking them out one at a time though. I liked Face and Murdock talking and then working with B.A.'s gold chain to escape. I was disappointed in Face though. He was watching the ground, but chose the wrong moment to look away. Also, why didn't he threaten to blow them all up or just shoot them? He still had a gun.
Maggie Sullivan back was great. Tawnia did her part and was not over the top. Harper was a fun unintended client.
Hannibal saving the day was fantastic, although I don't know why they just didn't take them out then and there. It seems like they easily could have since they defeated them all. I know B.A. was still weak, but they could have grabbed the guns and taken them hostage. Weird sequence.
I like Hannibal egging on the bad guys and they all go along with Kyle, even though they all probably feel like they shouldn't. Face got so unlucky in the final fight. Got shot at the most and beat up. I missed Hannibal and Kyle going head-to-head. I was surprised how B.A. nearly got it more than once. That blast is really the only thing that saved him.
The tag scene was fine, but Face is usually smarter than that. If he hadn't been clapping in B.A.'s face, they probably would have let him ride back.
Overall, a great episode. My two older kids liked it and it's always been one of my wife's favorites. My middle one did get scared that B.A. was going to die, but I assured him that wasn't the case.

I watched this one tonight. It's been a while. Still love it. I do maybe get slightly bored when it reaches the point of the mercenaries coming "to play" on the team's turf. And also it seems like the mercenaries could have just threatened to kill Mrs. Harper and her daughter in order to get the team to surrender, couldn't they? So some of the stuff with Mr. Harper and his dairy doesn't really make a lot of sense to me. Was the only reason the bad guys chose the dairy so that they could deliver the milk for BA to make him sick? It seems like they risked a lot to even try to keep the team members at the dairy, because they would have had to have everyone who would normally work there keep quiet about what they were doing. I think they could have chosen a different place to hold the team members and just commandeered a milk delivery truck if they needed it. I also wonder how they got rid of the real doctor and took over his office....did they have him tied up somewhere? I feel like there are a lot of loose ends with this one now that I've watched it so many times. I think they should have made this one a two-parter and delved into those loose ends more.
Despite these loose ends, I still really enjoy this one. It has enough good stuff going for it that even though I now think some things don't make sense, I still really like it.
