I do cut him slack in those situations too, but he does occasionally lie and cheat just to further his own agenda.

hehe. I could argue about the same crap forever! LOL.
Do you think the guys were big pains in the @@$ when they were kids? Somehow I bet Hannibal was incorrigible.

Well we know Face was a scammer from the beginning so I would say he was. Murdock I could see as the shy kid that felt out of place and people thought he was strange. B.A. I could see as having problems but they would be solved quickly by his mother. Hannibal I could definitely see as the kid always in trouble. He just has that vibe.

I bet that Face, Hannibal, and B.A. all gave trouble to authority figures, parents, or whoever raised them. I don't picture Murdock as so much incorrigible, but I think he would have been quite imaginative as a kid. I could see him, though, trying to build an airplane and fly himself somewhere, so maybe he would put himself into some risky situations, although I don't think he would be really disrespectful or purposefully disobedient.

Do you guys like the idea of an A-Team movie with all different characters?

No. That wouldn't be the A-Team then, just four guys we'd have to try and feel connected to in a couple hours. It would feel more like a rip-off of the original.

I think I could like it if they had fun personalities and really seemed to mesh well with one another and if they got to help people being oppressed by bad guys and use silly weapons like taffy or cabbages.
I think I would like it better than trying to have the same characters from the show played by different actors in a different time period.

For me, using different characters would make it a different show. Hannibal, Face, et al were what the show was about - what they did, what happened to them was made interesting because of the characters. Using different characters entirely would just be four guys doing stuff. Like fanfic using all OCs.

It's like Miami Vice without Crockett and Tubbs.

I like the character interaction, not just the characters. So if there were new characters with interesting and good interaction, I think I would like it. That is what makes me like quite a variety of shows that seem completely unrelated. For example, I love the interaction between the three angels on TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL. I doubt that many people would equate that show to TAT, but for me, the way the angels interact is as a team. Actually, they help people, too, so maybe that show is not all that different from TAT....except that at least one person dies just about every week. Otherwise, the angel of death would not have enough to do!
But I would not want a new TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL show to star other actors in the same angel roles.....would rather that if they decided to remake it without the original actors, they make it be about completely different angels, with different personalities and strengths. They could still have their own angel of death, but he/she would need to be different enough from Andrew. I wouldn't want to see anyone but B.A.'s momma playing Tess!

But then why call it TAT? It's not like it's a terribly original plot concept. I think Touched by an Angel sounds more unique in concept.

Because if we don't call it TAT, then I'm back to having to whine about how I don't think TAT should ever be remade.

Ok... how about this question... If the people who played the parts in the movie had turned down the part who do you think would be best in each role of the movie? To quote Fred Weasley, "Just trying to diffuse the tension."
