Sidney's Rating Scale: 9
I love this episode - So many good things Love the beginning part in the condo - although I do wonder how Amy found them - but the priest found Face as well so again it seems that finding the ATeam should never be tough - the MP's are really horrible at their jobs apparently
Love the scene between Face and Amy on the plane.
I love when everyone tells BA to be quiet when he is grumbling in the car
And the one scene where BA calls Murdock a stupid fool when the bottles fly over the wall - I contend that BA was the stupid one - he clearly sees Murdock put the box down there so why did he activate the catapult at that time? Totally BA's fault
I love seeing this side of Face - he is definely most swoon worthy in this episode

A definite 10 on the Sidney scale for me. I wrote these comments below after watching the episode last Thursday night, so they were made before I had read ladyjay's comments, but it seems that she and I both hate the part where BA calls Murdock "supid fool."
Well, I love this episode so much. I watched it last Thursday night. Perhaps one of the few things I don’t like about it is that it seems BA is especially sarcastic. Not only is he his usual grumpy self with Murdock, but he even sort of mocks Face in the scene where he is making fun of the “cheap” jewelry that Face gave to Leslie. It’s pretty obvious that that “cheap piece of jewelry” meant a great deal to Face. I really hate it when BA calls Murdock a “fool” in that montage scene, when it is BA who is the one who should have made sure nothing was on that ledge before he tested the thing. Those minor things aside, though, most of this episode is pretty much sheer perfection to me.

I hate Leslie. I don't think she's a good person at all. She used Face back in the day and used him in the 'present'.

I don't hate Leslie per se, but I do hate what she did to Face. He deserves so much better.
I do love that it allows us to see this side of Face, and it finally gives him the closure he needs. I'll try to watch again/add more comments this week but for now... It's a definite 10 for me on the Sidney scale and (no surprise) one of my favorite episodes.

I agree that Leslie should have handled things much differently - even a letter explaining would have been better leaving with no explanation at all. And I do think even subconsciously when she sent Face the pin and letter, she was hoping he would come and save them. She knew he was with the ATeam and she had to know hearing from her out of the blue would be traumatic for him. I think he did deserve better but she was not the one for him and if things had played out differently - he might have never gone to Vietnam, met the guys and the rest is history

She totally knew what she was doing when she sent the pin and the letter. She didn't outwardly ask for help either, which make me think her manipulative. I don't think she was worried it would be intercepted. She knew it would get to him just fine.
Then she didn't care that he was putting himself and his friends at risk for her. She didn't seem to want them to go because they were in danger or the kids and other sisters were in danger, she was played more arrogant and uncaring.
She should have been honest back in the day, and she should have been honest in the letter, and she should have been more gentle to his feelings when he showed up.

Why did she keep that pin for so long, by the way? She should have returned it long before this happened. It was a trophy.

I guess I relate to Leslie. To me she seems more real because she isn't perfect. I think she regretted what she did to Face. I don't think she was manipulating him. She seemed genuinely surprised when he came.

I love this one. "English? With a Spanish accent?" I love the final shot of Face putting on his hat and winking at the girl. That's how I approach women now.

That scene is for me when Face is at his very most handsome and charming. I love that scene. That's my favorite Face outfit of the entire series, too.
Although the episode feature Face, I still think it has good parts for all the team members. And yes, Murdock trying to communicate with the gas station guy speaking English with a Spanish accent is classic Murdock....and love it how it actually works...much better than Hannibal's attempts at Spanish.

I'm actually drawing a blank on Hannibal hitting the gong. Is that when they are trying to first get into the orphanage?

Oh, right...that's when Face is Mr. Toney (or is it Mr. Tony?)....it's RECIPE FOR HEAVY BREAD!

Watched this last night. The boys were again not really interested.
The wife and I love this episode. Probably one of our favorites and definitely a favorite for Face's character. The conversation he has about hiring the A-Team was hilarious. He had a great heartfelt conversation with Amy and Leslie about the past and his life. Even though he called for B.A. during the fight scene, he manages to get out from under the bad guy and beat him up.
Babs is not my favorite writer, but this is probably her best work. Still some inconsistencies, but better this time. Hannibal spoke Spanish in the pilot, but not now. Murdock says in the pilot he can't speak Spanish, but then you hear him negotiating for the truck in a few words of Spanish. Where in Ecuador were they? How did B.A. book boat tickets in the middle of nowhere and expect them to get to the coast in time? Additionally, where did they get all of the whiskey for the truck? Finally, why is the orphanage in the middle of nowhere? How do you adopt kids that way? (My wife said that maybe they were just their to be taken care of out of the way because it was unlikely they would be adopted. Dark).
Is it just me or is it odd that the MPs never track the orphanage personnel? They always seem to know where to find Face.
I like Amy having the team backstop her math before presenting Face the bill.
That was a LOT of wasted tar just to get the truck to crash. Especially when the team could have beaten them without it. Where did the sisters get so much tar? Wow.
Still love the ending scene with Face.
