Thanks for that info, Bert! Off the top of my head, I cannot remember Ike Hagen from WASTE 'EM, but I believe he's one of the bad guys.....would be kind of interested to see Eddie Velez in another role besides Frankie.

Mitchell Ryan (Ike Hagen from WASTE 'EM) was also in an episode of WALKER, TEXAS RANGER, titled THE COMMITTEE. He plays a crooked judge who runs the titular committee, which consists of assassins who target people they believe got off the hook too lightly for their crimes. Eddie Velez was in the WALKER two-parter EL COYOTE, in which he helps Walker take down a Mexican slave trading ring. I should have rewatched this episode first before making this post. He's actually a villain. Specifically, a pimp. He plays sleazy real well though. Amended my post.

I have watched a few KNIGHT RIDER episodes the last few days. I'm almost done, which is good, since it leaves NetFlix on November 30th. There was a TIMBER! like episode where Michael Knight has to figure out the problem between rival timber companies. Had some big names in it, but from the A-TEAM fandom, it had the lady who played Rebecca Piper in BENEATH THE SURFACE. She was the bad guy here. Her father in this one was also in an episode, although a different one. He played General Ekworth in THE SOUND OF THUNDER. This episode also saw Flint from THE SHERRIFS OF RIVERTOWN as muscle for the bad guy. I think they all played similar parts to what they did in their A-TEAM appearances, but it was neat to see the dichotomy between the good-meaning dad and the succeed-at-all-costs daughter. There was an episode similar to CHAMP! as well. A boxer feels that he has to fight because he killed a man and his manager hushed it up, so he owes it to the man. The manager is Terry Kiser. Not an A-Team guest star, but you might know him from playing Bernie Lomax in the WEEKEND AT BERNIE'S movies. Similar type of character. However, the wife of the ill-fated boxer was none other than Stephanie from PURE DEE POISON. Not the strongest female character here either, but this show has similar macho elements like the A-TEAM, so the men get to play the hype overall. Not a guest star on our show here, but the guy who played the assassin in this one also plays the pimp that crosses Crocodile Dundee. He doesn't fare much better here against Michael Knight. Our old buddy Dirkson from CHOPPING SPREE was in this one. He was a crooked trainer for the manager, trying to get the boxer in good enough shape to go fight. He tried to get out, but we know how well that works...And last but not least was our friend Jackhammer Jackson from PROS AND CONS. He plays the titular boxer in this one that needs the help of Michael Knight, so similar characters, but he's the good guy in this one. Lots of A-TEAM and other fun references in the last few episodes.

I used to love KNIGHT RIDER (during its original run) but now whenever I've seen it or just bits and pieces of it, it has not really interested me much other than for nostalgia's sake. KNIGHT RIDER followed by, I believe, REMINGTON STEELE. Yeah, those were the days....it's weird that I never see REMINGTON STEELE running on any TV stations. Then again, I don't have cable or satellite but just antenna TV....yet, the stations you get with just an antenna are the kind of stations that I could see running REMINGTON STEELE. I've kind of gotten interested again in X-FILES which is on "COMET." And occasionally I'll watch parts of CHiPS on "CHARGE" - love the station names for these channels.

I watched a few episodes last night after a rough day at work. In the first one, there was an illegal dunebuggy race that a bad guy was using to get out of the country. The bad guy was "the most interesting man in the world." I like that beer character he has played for years, but I also know him from being in UNCLE BUCKLE-UP as Preston. I prefer the beer character of all of his. In another episode, Michael and RC3 have to help an American citizen from a Central/South American country, but get caught in a coup. It's an interesting one because it has many elements of LINE OF FIRE and THEORY OF REVOLUTION to me. The bad colonel that takes over the country was in SAY IT WITH BULLETS as Noche. Here, he plays a very paranoid colonel, not quite to the level of Colonel Klink, but he is somewhat funny in how scared he gets. This episode also starred Sanchez from the A-TEAM pilot, but here he was the president of the overthrown country. Much better turn as a president. In the final episode, someone is haunting a movie set and people are calling it The Phantom. While the world class talent behind Freddy Krueger is in the episode, we also have an A-Team turn. The woman running the studio and trying to make it a success is none other than Callie Russell from BREAKOUT! I think she's a stronger woman in the A-TEAM. And my two favorite characters were old school actors Pat Buttram (Mr. Haney for you GREEN ACRES fans) and Hank Worden. They played old timer stunt men and they interacted a lot with KITT.

Some great tie-ins with the A-TEAM for my last few episodes of the series, KNIGHT RIDER.
First, Ken Swofford was a man who had adopted a Japanese baby. Now, a Japanese businessman is out to destroy his business and take his child away, who he believes is the ancestor of an ancient cult leader. I love seeing Swofford in stuff. He's a down-to-earth guy in everything, including his turn in THE GAMBLER and as a park ranger in my favorite A-TEAM episode: INCIDENT AT CRYSTAL LAKE.
Of course the titular bad guy noted above starred in two episodes of THE A-TEAM. He was uncredited in POINT OF NO RETURN in Season 5, but he would be recognizable as Colonel Sieu in THE SOUND OF THUNDER.
In the series finale, John Vernon guest stars. He was a bad guy here, but was not the ultimate villain. We would know him better as Jarrett from LABOR PAINS.
Also in the finale, a man controlled by voodoo, Allan Graf appears. He was primarily a stunt double, but he did acting in two A-TEAM episodes. One was as Rudy in THE DUKE OF WHISPERING PINES and the other was "Other man" in THE GREY TEAM. He bears an uncanny resemblance to Stryker from RANGE RIDER.

If I had to be an actor (which I would not want to be), I would so much rather be one of those kind of character actors that people maybe sort of recognize but never really know what you know them from unless you see their names.....I doubt that they have the "paparazzi" chasing them around and they can hopefully live fairly normal lives...yet, hopefully also be in enough shows to make a good living. I don't know how much those kind of actors would get paid for those roles.

I don't know how much those kind of actors would get paid for those roles. Probably depends on the need for them. I'm sure some of the guys that were always around in the early days of TV got paid pretty well since they were in everything. Nowadays, a lot of people want to make it big, so there's probably less.

Watched KNIGHT RIDER 2000 yesterday. Set in the year 2000. Boy...they were really thinking we were going to jump ahead in leaps and bounds in 9 years. Carmen Argenziano was in this movie, working on the new prototype KITT for the KNIGHT FOUNDATION. He was a gruff character that had to learn humanity. A-TEAM fans will recognize him as Colonel Sanchez from IN PLANE SIGHT. Mitch Pileggi also guest starred in this movie. He was a former cop, frozen in stasis, because that is what they do to prisoners in 2000...and was released. He started gun running and was the main bad guy. I know Mitch primarily from his recurring role on STARGATE ATLANTIS as an officer in the US Military. However, A-TEAM fans might recognize him from THE ROAD TO HOPE where he played Paul Winkle. For all you Trek fans, James Doohan as a spot cameo in this movie. And he is recognized as the guy who plays Scotty.

Another WALKER/A-TEAM one. John Vernon, who played slave owner Ted Jarrett in the A-TEAM episode LABOR PAINS, was also the bad guy of the WALKER episode FINAL JUSTICE. In that episode, it's revealed that he not only killed Walker's parents, but is also alive after being thought dead for several years and now goes by a new name. Naturally, Walker kicks his ass at the end. Great episode overall.
Vernon is probably most famous for his roles as the Mayor in DIRTY HARRY, and the arrogant police sergeant Curtis Mooney in the cult classic KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE.

Since my family has not been able to agree on sitting down to continue our watching of THE A-TEAM recently, I decided that I would try another series from the 80s to pass the time. I had never watched it before, although I knew enough about it. It's KNIGHT RIDER. Obviously very cool car and story line as well as a similarity in helping people. But I never before noticed how many actors the series shared. Today, I watched one that had Colonel Lynch in it. He was not bumbling or anything. He looked young, fit, and tough! Fun character all around and if he had been the one chasing the A-TEAM, you have to wonder if he might have been successful! I also watched one that guest starred Judy Landers. Might not mean much in name only, but she was in WHERE IS THE MONSTER WHEN YOU NEED HIM as Face's leading lady. In this episode, she played a lady with amnesia who was key to stopping a murder plot. Great acting and range on her part overall, even though some of it was a bit corny. I always find myself viewing the actors through the lens of the original performance where I saw them. So I expected both to be incompetent and ditzy. Am I the only one who does that? The actor that played Lynch was also heavily featured in Magnum PI as Magnum's naval commander.
